  1. I heard it was Darren Ferguson.
  2. Well at least they'll cruise into the Carling Cup semis when they play Palace...when's that on...oh! Well at least they'll be able to ease into the 4th round of the FA Cup against a lower league side when that draw's made.
  3. I live there now. Slug and Lettuce by the Eye would be my local.

Very few oganisms actually "stand up". 25% of animals are beetles, for a start. Then there's all the aquatic creatures, plants, bacteria, single-celled organisms etc.
  5. Shirt, definitely. Most people won't be so you'll clearly be identifying yourself as the top most hardcorest fan!! COYR !!!
  6. I'm always happy, come what may.
  7. It could be "own" as in have responsibility for, and have the authority to sell it to interested parties to raise proceeds for CSI, as opposed to that UHY are actually the owners of Pompey - which would seem mad!

While depression is an illness, the signs point to the fact he didn't have it. That's the view of the people closest to him anyway. I just don't believe you can hide something like that.
  9. ...the telly enough? Adkins has been the best manager in the country this year, yet he's rarely recognised as such in interviews and dare I say it Sports Personality of the year. And a large part of it since the start of this season is down to Chaplow, yet speak to fans of any other team and none of them would pick out Richie Rich as our star man.
  10. Way to mess up a joke! Hope he answered it as intended. What does that mean? There wasn't any doubt about it being over the line was there? I thought he smashed it in to the net off the bar. Or does it mean did he think the game was over despite there being 10 mins left? Strange question. Hopefully that will finally stop those claiming he doesn't like it (as opposed to thinking it's overused). On why he chose number 33.

Strange logic from a normally sensible poster there Adrians...no evidence that it's depression therefore means the depression is even worse that we thought, rather than the more likely conclusion that it wasn't depression. I'd go as far as to say that being (genuinely/clinically) depressed is not something that is possible to be concealed from your life partner 24/7, but even without that conjecture it'a still a very unlikely scenario.
  12. "EXCLUSIVE: statistics show that team sitting top of the league is in good position for promotion"
  13. Same number as Nicky Maynard and Carlton Cole. Only 6 players in the league have scored more than him this season, and he's been playing on the wing for a good amount of those games. Plus he has 7 assists (as has Rickie) - only Robert Snodgrass has more.

    The run in

That's not so bad. All mid-table and relegated teams, other than Boro.

Unlikely to be depression, unless he managed to keep it from all those people closest to him... http://www.walesonline.co.uk/2011/11/29/gary-speed-s-best-man-hayden-evans-dismisses-depression-claims-91466-29853252/
  18. I've had this in my last few places I've lived. It's a problem in just about all old buildings in Manhattan. All I can say is block up any holes you find with foam sealant, but plug the hole with steel wool first. Then get a load of traps. Peanut butter is the best bait. Don't mess around with humane traps as a) a lot of the time they're not humane (eg sticky traps often break their legs and pull off about a third of their coats) and b) if you do catch them and release them outside they'll either come back into your apartment, or some other poor sod who's then got to deal with them the same as you are. Best trap by far I've found is this (not sure if you can get them in UK)... http://www.amazon.com/00027-Ultra-Covered-Snap-Mouse/dp/B000P9URDQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1322441895&sr=1-1 They run in to get the bait and the bar crashes down on their neck and kills them instantly. I got 13 in one weekend a few years back, including a few pregnant ones (I won't tell you how you tell, tho I do have a few photos!). I know some people go with poison, which they eat and it thins their blood until they die of dehydration. Advantage is they normally go back to their nest to die, and the others will often feast on their rotting carcass which in turn passes the poison on. However this was you're left with the stench of decomposing flesh somewhere in your walls, which for me isn't a tempting prospect but from the sounds of it will bring some relief to the smell of stale sweat and spunk-tissues in your grimey digs.

Has anyone actually said it was depression though? I know it's obviously a likely candidate but I've only seen that on web forums like this one. Those saying not to speculate are being quick to draw this conclusion.
  20. How do you know he's a Saints fan?
  21. Are there ANY skates on that webchat or is it all you guys?
  22. As I remember they were about 13-14...you have issues!
  23. I too have just emailed the club asking for confirmation that there will be an opposing team that day.
  24. Guys we shouldn't get complacent. 2011 isn't over yet, there's still a fair stretch to go - we haven't even entered December yet and there's some tricky games still ahead (not to mention the P*mpey game). I do believe we will maintain this, but let's not start celebrate getting 100 points in 2011 just yet until the fat lady sings.
  25. Have you ever bothered to look into it? All words start off as some kind of description, it's not the original etymology that makes it offensive. In this case it was originally used as an ethnic slur towards black slaves in colonial America, coming to signify their lower status. I'll help you out: http://bit.ly/vnH4b
