Why? They had 63% possession, which was up at 74% before the two red cards happened. They had 6 shots on target to Oldham's 1. Sounded like they dominated the game. I think we'd feel the same way if it was us. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19378034

I don't remember Oldham in the Championship.

Fantastic news if so. I found a video of him on youtube and he looks strong, skillful and knows how to find the back of the net - check out some of the screamers he's banged in! Really excited by this one if we can get it over the line in time. Also, my brother plays a lot of Football Manager and says he thinks he signed him last year and he was total boss (but he wasn't sure if it was him or Daniel De Ridder). I believe he'd be the missing piece in us assembling a truly competitive Premiership squad.

Chumbawumba: He'll be signing, til then we're whining! [i get knocked down etc]

A bit like Saints in the Premier League.

What does Tommy Forecast have in common with David Button?

Surely if he's been loaned out 13 times in 5 years its no surprise he's not had much playing time at Spurs. Not sure what point you're trying to make with that. It's not like these teams aren't playing him - he's played over a hundred league games (ok, a handful were non-league) and he's only 23. Tommy Forecast on the other hand in the same period has played just 22 games, of which only 4 (his first 4) were at a league club. Nothing wrong with being loaned out if you're getting games. Especially at a young age. -
If you're using a wet-wipe until you "no longer see brown", haven't you just rubbed it back in?

Is this really what people do on their holidays?

Is this the thread where Fox becomes the scapegoat for the season because of "that header"? Only I want to be able to say "I was there when it all began".

Should Oscar Pistorius be allowed to compete in the Olympics?

Looks like Senegal's keeper has been having a blinder too. Some great saves and not to blame for the individual defensive f-ups that led to goals. -
I like this thread. Can we have more players on RonWatch please?

Because "take a view on" means "come to a conclusion about". Nothing wrong with it.

If they sell out then that will be justification enough - there will be enough people willing to pay that much so that is the price.

Yeah I'd give the baby a slap if he deserved it - why not?

Yes, I was very worried about this last year as I spent about 150 days back in UK last year. Glad to see it's not effective til next tax year. I'm largely staying away this year to get my 4 year average back down again. I'm currently flying pretty close to the wind and don't want to end up being deemed resident (which would apply retrospectively over my entire time away).

Has anyone ever actually seen Steve Davis? Are we sure he's not just a creation of the SFC propaganda machine?

Working in a consultancy in NY I hear a lot of these 'Americanism' business phrases. The one that's annoying me most at the moment is "connect the dots", but mainly because it's being overused by a couple of people in particular that I'm dealing with right now.

Why no pic of Ali al-Faraj??

If I'm being completely honest with myself, my primary motivation for moving to New York was to find a better quality of women. But then I wasn't exactly getting terrific luck in London, before that gets taken the wrong way. British accent (and height, oddly) go a long way over here! Girls over here do generally make a good deal of effort on their appearance, both due to societal pressure and because it's just what all their peers do (is that the same thing?). But then because the standard is pretty high girls don't get all up themselves for being attractive - it's just the norm. My experience has been that the girls who grew up in New York or from rich families in Connecticut/New Jersey etc can be a bit messed up with it all - mental issues, neurotic, eating disorders etc - but the girls who grew up in smaller towns/MidWest etc are pretty normal and grounded and you can have a good laugh with them. I guess that's a similar phenomenon to what you guys are saying about girls from oop North / outside of London. I've also heard attractive women over here complaining it's just hard to meet decent guys over here as there are so many women / gays in Manhattan and the rest are already married. It makes dating for very average looking blokes like me way easier, if you just put in a tiny bit of effort. I appreciate this is all generalisations of a very big country, just my take on things.

My wife's maiden name was Clare Crescent, small world.

Wow - way to fight two very opposing arguments in the same post...teams should be as innovative as possible in their car designs but all cars should be the same!

It's possible. He'll not be named in QPR's 25 man squad (at least until Jan).
