Yes, bring back Nicola (The Don) Cortese. Give him a free hand and he would sort things out from top to bottom. I think that confidence in the club would soar! Can't someone start a petition that we could all vote for?

A new and well deserved name for our manager..."The Magician"
-
Saints 3 - Arsenal 2 - I should start threads more often

Perhaps since Koeman left? -
Mark Hughes should be ashamed....
-
Because based on his previous record he would make the correct (not necessarily the most popular) decisions and personnel appointments for the advancement of the club. To my mind, the appointment of Cortese or someone of similar calibre should be the very first new appointment and all else would flow from that.

Exactly. Just beat me to it.

Could we have a vote on bringing back Nicola Cortese?

Nicola Cortese, and just give him a free hand. -
Claudio Ranieri?

Mediocre players + mediocre manager = mediocre club. Such a shame! The loyal fans deserve better. Would never have happened under Nicola Cortese.

Sorry, seemed to have cocked up my post, so here it is again. At last, someone talking with a bit of sense. this is the ONLY way the fans can get rid of Pellegrino. You are not being disloyal, quite the reverse. If you love your club you will do it. If not then stop moaning and put up with the inevitable consequences. It would not take long. As soon as "The powers that be" see an empty stadium things will begin to happen. It probably wouldn't get to three total boycott's of home games for Pellegrino to be relieved of his job. So it's really down to you the fans. Will you do it for the sake of your club?

Tonight's result and the transfer window's final statement that no one has been signed, sums up that Southampton Football Club as we supporters have known all our lives, is dead and has been anilalated by the incompetence of Les Reed. The only way of bringing about change is to stay away, to not attend games, leaving St Mary's empty Staying away is the only means to bring about change and show that the supporters have had enough. An empty stadium will show Mr GAO very clearly that the supporters are not happy. It will send a loud message that Kruger and Reed have been bull sh*tting him. If you want to be certain that the battery will be reliable, then buy yourself one of those "intelligent" chargers that you can leave on without the risk of overcharging the battery. This will properly "deep" charge the battery and you will have no fears that it will let you down. Of course this assumes that the battery is in good condition and is only discharged. Don't rely on the alternator to charge the battery up properly. You could buy a very cheap trickle charger that would do the job, but you have to know when the battery is fully charged (I have a tester and the knowledge to use it, and I can tell that you don't) so the safest way is to get one of the self limiting chargers that I have mentioned above. Hope that clarifies things things for you. By the way, you won't have wasted your money when the inevitable cold hard winter arrives and you have a battery that will be reliable in all weathers by just leaving it on the charger at night.

If you can't feel a certain amount of emotion and sentiment towards a story like Lambo's then what's the point of following football? Exactly!!!
-
Absolutely!

Do I like it: In a word, no. Rather have last years.

Exactly!

will we see Suarez in our first match? (Answer: No.)
Handyman replied to offix's topic in The Saints
I guess we are! -
We don't need people like that in Southampton, being a player does not absolve him from nasty behaviour. I like to think that Saints are still a family club and will not tolerate having someone like that in our midst potentially destroying the harmony in the club and giving a bad example to young fans, perhaps to emulate.

Maybe the end of the beginning!

I have some American relatives and they are nice people, but I Hate americanisms. Perhaps he meant "think about it" -
Undo the nut and remove the arm. Check to see if the spindle that the arm pivots on is damaged or worn. If not, then replace the wiper arm with a new one and tighten the nut with the arm in the correct position. If the spindle is too worn or damaged (unlikely) then the wiper linkage assembly under the scuttle will need to be replaced as well as the arm. Of course all that would be wrong in the worst case would be the little clamping device in the end of the arm and the spindle on the linkage but you can't get those parts separately, unless that is, if your wipers are driven by a cable drive and then you can buy the separate gearbox's with the spindle attached, but you would still need the arm. Perhaps you could buy a good complete second hand assembly from Silverlake Garage.(good used spares) Phone 023 80229999 http://www.silverlake.co.uk/ Hope that solves your problem

Saints matches are nearly always seen and reported from the other teams point of view. It makes my blood boil at times. Perhaps this will change over time. They played badly because they were up against a team firing on all cylinders, not because they were having an "off" day. The match was not "gifted" it was won fair and square by the best team on the day.
