  1. I know we're talking about well off footballers here but surely getting rid of them would be time consuming, painful and expensive?! I'm a fan of them but the majority of footballers look like idiots.
  2. Sounds like we're going to have a belting weekend then, thanks for the info.
  3. Love it!
  4. Anyone been? Any hidden gems that we shouldn't miss? Anyone know how easy it is to pick up St Pauli tickets? Going there in November for a mates' 30th. Cheers.
  5. Probably Phil Neville, he's always been a naughty lad and up to no good...
  6. Nile Ranger sums up everything that is wrong with young professional footballers these days.
  7. Just finished a round of golf, having a drink and playing pool at the 19th when the old dear behind the bar stuck the TV on and we watched it all unfold. Crazy!
  8. We stayed in an Etap in Manchester for the Rochdale game last season, about as cheap as it gets and it's not even a sh*thole.
  9. I don't mind that Manish Bhasin however the bird on there was an idiot, I couldn't give a toss what Big Dave, a lifelong Leeds fan from Yeovil thinks about a win at Watford...
  10. I've always found it way too hot in there, there are much better boozers around.

    One Chance....

I'd go with the Irishman but for the pure mad celebration I'd want Lambert to stick it away, he would give the Skates a load of grief as well.
  12. If I done the whole uni thing again I would go to Manchester, always been impressed when I've visited.
  13. What is this stupid obsession with wanting former players back?! Apart from the obvious players such as Bale, Walcott and maybe Crouch why would we want any of them back?
  14. How much roughly would a taxi be from the city centre to the ground? Always gone by car but this will be the first time getting the train.
  15. Well it would stop him scoring against us.

    New York?

If you're there on a Saturday and the weather is good get up early and walk around Central Park, quite a sight seeing all the locals and celebrities treating running like a fashion accessory. Another free tip, as mentioned in other places walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, aim to do it during sunset. Get a Subway ticket for the duration of your stay, even if you don't use it all the time it's well worth the money. My ticket did run out for my last day so I did walk from 104th street down to the Staten Island ferry, despite being long it was well worth it.
  17. Agree with Andy, Coventry away is just awful... as I'm back I'll still end up going mind. Taxi to ground from the city centre and back I suppose.
  18. How the hell did James Corden get anywhere near that in the first place is beyond me?! Saying that she does look utter filth and I'm sure many a bloke has smashed her back doors in.
  19. Sorry to say but apart from the San Siro I thought it was a terrible city. In fairness I was backpacking at the time so money was tight and you need a decent amount to enjoy that city.
  20. It's obvious that Leon Clarke has a massive attitude problem and the fact that he's not up to it. Hence why he's dropped down from QPR to little old Swindon.

    Obergurgl Skiing

I work in Austria all year round including the ski season. Obergurgl is a very expensive place but you are guaranteed fantastic snow as the village and the slopes are so high up for Austrian standards. The ski area is excellent and you also have nearby Solden as well. If you're after apres ski the only place you will find it is at the Nederhutte, I had a day skiing in Obergurgl last winter and the Nederhutte was fantastic. More family orientated as opposed to the widespread drunken carnage you would find in other resorts known for apres ski. The village is nice but very quiet, Obergurgl has always been known as more of a family resort. The quality of the ski schools is great and it would be worth prebooking a package before you go out. My personal favourite is Mayrhofen, you get about 650km of piste on your lift pass. Most slopes go up to 2500m and you always have the Hintertux Glacier 30 minutes away on the free ski bus which guarantees snow 365 days of the year. Great area to learn to ski and the apres ski and nightlife is superb. Make sure you visit the Ice Bar next to the Penken lift when you head back into the village.
  22. Great shout, think you're right.

    Beattie

That was a great day, we were superb! On to the topic, sadly he's not good enough anymore.
  25. Oh yeah, totally forgot about that. No I didn't go for a curry with him, if I did I may have ended up buried under his patio. Lucky escape!
