  1. We received BBC1 on normal Austrian TV instead of that Prime rubbish for about two weeks before the start of the football season then they went and changed it back... I was not happy!!! I'm no internet pervert when it comes to the technical side of things so I'm just happy to fork out £40 on the Saints Player to be honest.
  2. I feel like a ticket tout, just got another one to add to the six I had already bought. It's going to be an immense day.
  3. Cheers TMC but it ain't football is it?! ha ha Thanks though.
  4. 71 out of the 92 Gutted to have missed both Huddersfield and Stockport this season due to working abroad. Along with missing the likes of Tranmere, Exeter and MK Dons for the same reason later on in the season.
  5. One for the Swedish lads, I'll be in Malmo in early November to see some friends, is the Swedish football season still going then? Alternatively I'm also in Copenhagen around that time too, is their season still going? Cheers.
  6. Sol Campbell... hence why he is now a total mentalist!
  7. Same here thankfully, Southend on a Friday night is not the most attractive of fixtures. A night out in Kiev will be far more entertaining.
  8. Had to bottle it as getting back to Bedford on the Sunday would have proven to be an expensive and a logistical ball ache... still plenty of time for the beer to flow though.
  9. I'll have to crack open the beer when I leave Milton Keynes early doors then to catch up. Good time heading back, we can stagger back to the station together.
  10. Well since I've been out in Austria Eric we haven't won a single competitive game... Carlisle away will be the turning point!
  11. I hope the stewards aren't idiots there because most of us are going to be sh*tfaced by 3pm and might struggle to get in lol. As I'm coming from Milton Keynes I get in at 12pm but I've obviously had a shocker by booking on the 18:52 on the way back, think I could be Billy No-Mates for this. Oh well, will give me time to sleep off the booze before resuming when I get home.
  12. Well I grew up in the same town as him and went to the same school, let's just say he was never an angel and some of the people he started to knock around with... well let's leave it like that. Obviously a shocking thing to happen though and I hope he gets well soon.
  13. I think the first time I met Eric we got a draw away at Barnsley (2-2 maybe?) and then the next time we won at Pride Park (0-1)... so yeah, there is no chance of us losing Saturday.
  14. Superb signing, the two Poles can jog on now! More signings needed but this shows our intent to have a right go in this league despite the points deduction.
  15. Any in Salzburg, Austria?
  16. Equal. However I don't feel the same excitement when I see England at Wembley compared to England away... But I feel the same excitement when Saints play at home and away.
  17. Northern Saints has been a cracking little club, I've been a member for three seasons now and it has been superb. There is usually a good little group of us for all away matches and for some Northern away games we have great numbers. Unfortunately the bloke who runs it from Swindon is handing over the role to someone else but this is all up in the air at the moment. Shame but also understandable, he's been brilliant for us past and present Northern based Saints. We have members who are regular at away games from Harrogate, Leeds, Manchester, Stockport, Newcastle, Darlington, Nottingham, Bedford (ok, not up North but that is where I live now) plus adopted Northern Saints from all over the country.
  18. I certainly won't be going back to Swansea in a hurry... awful day on all fronts!
  19. Best... Definitely Preston for me, to comeback like that when we were dead and buried was amazing. The complete mayhem when McGoldrick struck the winner was phenomenal. What added to it was that it was my last game before I buggered off overseas for over 4 months (I missed a lot of rubbish in between) and also we spent the weekend on the ale in Blackpool before and after the game... happy days! My next game back after that was Ipswich so I done well there. Worst... Swansea - Total OB and idiot overkill not making it enjoyable day to have a good drink in town. Birmingham - never enjoy going to St Andrews. Sheff Wednesday - Complete ineptitude of the 'team'.
  20. First time I've been there and the local inbreds haven't been pouring out of the pub on the left as you head back towards the town centre. Obviously they were happy this time round...
  21. I'll be amazed if we even get 1,000 up there, I think 700 tops would be a fair estimate considering it's on TV and transport over the Bank Holiday is a nightmare usually. I'm looking forward to it but not to that **** poor away end.
  22. Agree with the above posts, easily our best player last night. He's been working his b*llocks off in recent games and seems to have a bit of class about him. Give him another season and he'll be knocking on the door of the Premiership.
  23. Fairplay to that website for writing such a good article.
  24. Well tomorrow with it being a pointless friendly there is nothing really to get us fans excited. Slovakia are hardly the most thrilling of teams to play, admittedly all other major international sides are in qualifiers. The Ukraine game will be a bit more lively in the stands though. I also think Wembley suffers from the 'new stadium syndrome' where by atmosphere takes a few years to really get going... not that SMS had any problems.
  25. I wouldn't say I love them but it does make a nice distraction. I'm off to Wembley tomorrow and on Wednesday but in fairness tomorrow will be rubbish as it's a pointless friendly. Just don't expect an atmosphere at Wembley, sure it's a nice stadium but if you're after atmosphere you'll be disappointed.
