  1. The last few times I've been we've just drank in the Station Inn, nothing special. The stewards are on par with Bramall Lane for being complete t***ers and they used to stop serving beer in the ground once the game had kicked off so not even a chance for a half time pint. Certainly not my favourite away day going. Sadly we won't witness the disbelief of a 3-0 victory with Euell and Paterson on the scoresheet again ha ha.
  2. That was the pub I met you and some of the Northern Saints in, I have no idea of the name but it was decent. Didn't we end up having a couple in Sheffield before you went to Warrington or somewhere similar and me back to Nottingham after the game?! More recently I have drank in the Outpost, they had a special away fans bar and people could park nearby.
  3. Started enjoying myself!
  4. A couple of times a mate would ring and get me signed in. Then they said they had too many signed in so I'd blag it in or use one of my mates' membership cards to get in. The blokes on the door usually look at me suspiciously every time I went in as I'd only go there between October and November and again in April each season.
  5. I've never been a member but I have drank in there for the past 3 or 4 seasons because a few of my mates are members and have kids. It used to be pretty decent with the Quiz and the kids being occupied with the pool table etc. I loved being able to finish my pint in a proper glass at 14:56 and still make kick off. Needless to say the way it's been recently I won't miss it if my mates choose not to renew.
  6. You'll find all the decent bars in the Hockley area. Great night out and a fantastic student city.
  7. Last time I went to the Antigallican was back when we were in the top flight, thought it was a toilet back then to be honest. Any London game where you have to catch a train from London Bridge means we drink in London Bridge. The Thameside Inn is always a big favourite with us lads. Special mention to the fantastic boozers at Brentford this season, even the worst one was pretty decent to be fair.
  8. I seem to remember the Cardiff game, we played sh*te and Blackstock scored. Don't remember much about the eveing mind!
  9. I'm half way between Salzburg and Innsbruck but Saturdays are my busiest day of the week. Unfortunately I have very little chance of making this.
  10. To save yourself a quid don't book through thetrainline website. Just choose any other rail provider and they don't charge an admin fee. I usually use Virgin Trains even if I'm not actually using their service.
  11. The Ice Wine was actually pretty decent however I'd still prefer cans of Strongbow to celebrate three points and promotion after Plymouth. My trip was organised by my hostel in Toronto, can't remember the name of the coach company but it was definitely worth the money.
  12. I went a good few years ago when they held the Southern Masters in Milton Keynes. We had the Skates, Spurs and Arsenal in our group. Quality day had by all despite us not making the final.
  13. I went on a coach tour to Niagara Falls including the vineyards and Niagara-on-the-Lake last October, I paid $50. The vineyard they took us to was owned by Dan Aykroyd of Ghostbusters fame.
  14. That is absolute nonsense, the 'dearest' part anyway. I totally agree with the first part mind. I have worked here in Austria for nearly 3 years now both in the summer and the winter, it's certainly not cheap but I could name alot of other EU nations that are much more expensive.

    Southampton Beer

I had some in Washington DC back in November, only ordered it because of the name... it was absolutely awful in my opinion.

    Antti Niemi

Best keeper I've ever seen live, unbelievable!
  17. I hope that I never have to see a team from the Third World in the Premier League but going by possible away days next season for us I hope Swansea make it because that is an awful trip.
  18. Me and the lads always go to the Grand Indian on Tavistock Street. Is the Jaipur in MK the one by the train station?
  19. Ryan Smith was absolutely shocking in my opinion, he reminds me of how bad we were under the Dutchmen.
  20. A mate got a ticket in the home end, luckily he sent some bird he works with who lives in Plymouth to their Ticket Office. Apparently they gave her a right grilling as to whether it was for a Plymouth or a Saints fan. Needless to say that I'm sorted in the away end, happy days!
  21. I went to Nottingham Trent, graduated in 2005 and have to say that it's a great university. I loved the city so much that I ended up living there for another 3 years, probably would still be there now if I didn't end up going travelling. What campus would she be on? The City campus is great but if she would be at Clifton Campus then even better. All in all it's a pretty safe city, as long as you aren't looking for trouble and stay clear of the rough areas then there are no problems. P.S: I was living in Nottingham when I met you Eric, years back at an away day in Barnsley.
  22. Thanks for the reply Hemel Saint, think I'm ok now. Hopefully got a lift sorted to Bristol after the game then train back from there isn't too expensive.
  23. Randomly is there anyone who will be driving back to either Bedfordshire or Hertfordshire after the game who has space for one? I've got a lift going down but my mate is staying the night in Plymouth. I can't because I'm leaving the country the following day.
  24. Well I have to put up with the East Anglian version which is presented by Matt Holland with special appearances from Dion Dublin, Darren 'Canary fiddle' Eadie and some young lad from the North East... basically I'd take Murty and Rosenior over those idiots anyday.
