Chelsea may well rest a few, I'd say we have half a chance here. Lukaku and Werner both injured so Tuchel might not see the point in risking Havertz. Villa took them to penalties last time out so no reason we can't do a job on them. Chelsea 0-1 Saints (A. Armstrong)

The positive I am taking is that we only got 2 points in the corresponding games we played last season against this seasons opponents so far. I don't think theres any question as to whether we are in a relegation battle this season. We really need to be above a point per game after these next 5, but 3 wins seems difficult to envisage. There have been some positives, but where are the goals coming from???
-
Townsend in great form, 5 goals in 9. Yet 16 goals in 185 games for Palace. I'm sure Palace fans wouldn't have been disappointed to see him leave. Less prolific than Nathan Redmond. Definitely should have signed him.
-
have seen enough this season already. Will be surprised if we make it to 30 points. Norwich will be bottom for sure, then ourselves, Burnley and Newcastle for the other 2 spots
-
strange line ups from both sides. We can definitely get at them, but I'd still expect Lukaku to be the difference. 2-1 Chelsea (Lukaku 38, 65, Redmond 15)
-
fuming, we will not score enough to stay up. These draws against other better sides are useless when we get nothing from games like this. Another defeat guaranteed next week and it's not looking good at all. Ralph looked broken at the end, like he has no more to offer. Season over already
-
this will be an absolute disgrace if we don't win. Think the players are a bit shocked by how easy it has been so far
-
Big chance for Moi today to prove he is good enough.Newcastle's attack looks far too strong for our defence, can't see any other result other than a comfortable Newcastle win, 3-0 (Wilson, 7, 41, Almiron 58)
-
seems a top lad and has really made his mark in the League. As mentioned, took a while after leaving us to fulfil his potential. West Ham doing great, not a fan at all, but after about 20 years of useless signings, theyve really nailed the recruitment over the past 2 seasons.
-
Time must be running out for him. It's a miracle he survived last season. He doesn't help himself with the bizarre selections from yesterday. I want him to do well but this year has been dire, and it's difficult to see him turning things around, which is partly due to the resources available. A lot of it hinges on who we sign at CB,
-
McCarthy has to be dropped for today's performance. Seriously worrying. You'd expect under any circumstances to lose to Utd next week, but we really need a new CB in to steady the ship. Ralph putting real pressure on himself already, especially with that team selection. Continue like this and he won't make it til October. Respect him a lot but our form for 2021 has been abysmal. Feeling deflated already, one game in. May be an overreaction, but this sort of result has become all too regular this year.

bizarre line up, would love to know the thinking behind it. A point would be an incredible result.
-
2 strikers in within a week of Ings leaving, can't really knock that. Glad we've got these done before the season starts. Feeling a bit more optimistic for the season now
-
Abraham would be a massive downgrade on Ings (admittedly, any of the targets on our budget would). At the price being touted, would much rather take a gamble on a cheaper option
-
pretty sensible assessment by Ralph after the game. We simply have to reinvest wisely. Can't see an official announcement from the club regarding him leaving?
-
sadly, they are showing clear ambition, spending the Grealish money in advance. We've made plenty in transfer fees and spent it poorly. It's really just a case of surviving now
-
out of nowhere. We were obviously more than happy to accept right away for the price. Just in shock it has happened so quick. But Villa??
-
don't know how to post photo but it's on Hummel's twitter page.
-
feels like the worst season for years; the period of good form from the 3rd game onwards until December seems a lifetime ago. With Ings to City nearly done, and an inevitably low transfer spend, it's difficult to envisage anything other than relegation next season.
-
yeah used to be 3-1 most weeks against the like of Dagenham and Redbridge. In fact, it was, Lallana, Lambert and Guly on the score sheet
-
Great performance from Tella, lovely attacking move for that goal. Nice to see us playing a bit better now the pressure is off
-
probably our most consistent player this season. Love his work rate, and also determination to drive forward and take on players despite not being the quickest He turns up in games most frequently, and I would say player of the season (not that its much to shout about given our season)
-
nerves building already, it might not mean much to fans of some of the other clubs, but for me this is our most important game since Swansea away
-
written in the stars. In all seriousness, would be huge for Ralph if he did win it for us. Most likely we will be calling for his head at this time tomorrow when we are 2-0 down
-
Fulham really looking unstoppable now. We should be looking nervously over our shoulders. In all seriousness, they've won 5 games all season, yet if you only followed on here you'd think they'd won 5 in a row
