  1. Relax, 7th is guaranteed, just had a tenner on Swansea
  2. Draw will be fine anyway. Fairplay to Swansea though, a great season for them.
  3. That'll do, can't see us getting anything next week but you'd have to fancy Arsenal to do a job on Villa.

    Mane

There was no denying he had an awful few games back in October/November. I said when we signed him he looked like a player who was going to have either a poor game or an outstanding one. I just think the whole things a bit pathetic. There's a reason people were coming out with the comments. It may have been an overreaction but the fact was he was playing ****. The Man Utd home game was probably the worst performance by a Saints player since Ali Dia. Since then he's been fantastic and far more consistent. For me he's our only real game changer, and it's vital to have such an asset.
  5. A bit worried still that Villa could ruin our season. Hopefully Man City can grab a point today. All to play for next week though; us, Spurs and Liverpool all have tough games. It's insane to think we can still nick fifth place
  6. Obviously it was an emotional day with the legend Stevie G playing his last game, otherwise they would have won, eh Brendan?
  7. Great performance. Don't want to be negative but Villa could still destroy our season, not playing like that though. So much more urgency today though, Long proved his worth again despite so many writing him off. 5 decent additions and this side can cope with Europa
  8. Incredible. WE HAVE JUST WITNESSED PL HISTORY. Show me the Maneeeeeee!
  9. Quite like the away kit, it's a lot different to anything we have had before.
  10. If we want to compete at the highest European level, then we need to learn in the Europa first. This club is nowhere near ready for the CL.The players need to get used to playing all the extra games. I'd be happy to do what Everton have done this season. They put out a strong team every round and had some decent results along the way. 10th place is fine with me if we go all out to try and progress in Europe.
  11. You'd think the club have monitored his situation, and we don't appear to have rushed things. Whilst I'm not totally convinced he will regain his previous form, it's positive news and sends out a message to any of our players who want out. I'd like to think this also means Ronald will still be here next season[emoji2]
  12. Thats why I mentioned even a side like us, we too have struggled to create chances. Still not as bad as Burnley though
  13. Swansea just have that little extra bit of quality that we lack going forward. Even so, we've been clear of them for months and it should never have come to this. So nervous for the Villa game now.
  14. Oh dear. To not even finish in the top 7 was unthinkable just a few weeks ago. Massive, massive game now on Saturday. We may well need a result at City as well. Absolutely gutted right now. Hopefully Man City will do a job on sunday
  15. Ings has a very decent goal record for a Burnley side extremely short on creativity. I have no doubt whatsoever that even for a side like us he will score at least 15 in the season.
  16. We just didn't look up for the fight. Fairplay to Leicester though, they stuck with Pearson and the results came. What we need to remember as fans is most teams haven't performed this season like they should. Spurs, Man City, Liverpool as a few examples. RoKo had us playing at our maximum level imo for around 3/4 of the season, and has done a great job. As I have previously said, it might have been better if our results were in reverse order this season, then there would have been no Champions League talk and a strong finish to this season. Anyway, it's a disappointing end and leaves me thinking 'what if', but at the end of the day we were never going to perform consistently all season, very few teams do. I'm confident we will qualify for Europa, bring in some decent players in the summer and go again next year. I imagine the aim is Top 6, but we've seen how difficult it is to achieve and next season will be tougher. I'd be happy with 9th or above and a run in the knockout stages in Europe.
  17. I said last season we would need to bring in around 10 new players. A few accused me of being ridiculous, but it ended up happening. If (sadly it's become if) we make Europa League, we will need a big squad. This summer, assuming Toby, MS, Elia, Clyne and Djuricic are not here, we need at least 9. Two new gk, rb, cb, dm, 2 wide players and two strikers. We need to get a deal done for Ings asap now Burnley are down. I would also take Trippier from them.
  18. Did anything happen from 70 mins onward? I was too angry to continue watching, poorest performance of the season by some distance.
  19. We would have been better off if our season's results had been in reverse. Would have avoided all the embarassing top four talk. Looks like the players can't wait for the season to end.
  20. Not bothered about Gazzaniga, we know he's hopeless. The worst thing for me is that it's blindingly obvious we are not going to score, it's simply unacceptable. Ron really needs to have a word.
  21. This is embarassing. Glad I lumped on Leicester, makes it a bit less painful. I see Spurs are losing too, but yet again we have failed to put any pressure on then
  22. I've got more results right than wrong this season, but think what you like
  23. I can't see us scoring, and I think we will definitely concede. Would love to be proved wrong
  24. Just had a big bet on Leicester. Very worrying line up
  25. There wasn't much more we could do, he wanted first team football and wasn't always getting it here. Now he's gone, and even scored, he's a goal machine who we were stupid to let go.
