  1. I don't know how we are still in this after being so poor for such a prolonged period. Still seems a tall order to survive, we are going to have to maintain the form we are in under Selles for the rest of the season. Obviously having Jones in is the disaster in all this, having said that if we'd have beaten Wolves he'd have been given more time. I think we will just fall short, unless we can scrape a few more 1-0 wins together.
  2. nervous for this one, with Leeds being just above us this is our biggest game in nearly 6 years. Tall Paul 1-0 Saints
  3. this is it. We've won 4 games in 22, even if Marsch improves us I just can't see how it will be to any level where we win nearly half of our games. So I'm not really buying the 'still 16 games, it's not over' argument. We've just had our 'winnable' run of fixtures and it's been a disaster. Are we now going to get a few wins and a couple of draws against top 8 teams?
  4. Whoever comes in will likely need to win half of their league games for us to stay up on 39 points.Whilst there is some promise in this squad, we've just had our run of 'winnable' games, it's not happening. Looks like Marsch is a done deal, but big pressure to get us out the Championship next season.
  5. If Ankersen is so into his stats, what does 6 defeats from 7 in the league look like to him? does that score well on the metrics? or is Lyanco's 2.83 aggressive stares per game more indicative of Jones' qualities?
  6. watch plenty of Bristol City as live there, Semenyo is the Ghanaian Che Adams. He is not the answer to our goalscoring issues
  7. just hanging in there. Newcastle are bigger, quicker and stronger; they look a proper team. Luckily their better opportunities have fallen to Willock.
  8. tough one to take, but if we can't get a result when we play like this, then there's no hope. Season over unfortunately.
  9. West Ham 2-0 down. Incredibly only have 2 more points than us, and have also scored 1 less goal. Highly unlikely, but if we won tomorrow and go above them, that could be the end for Moyes.
  10. only manage who's going to get results with a forward line as direvas ours is Sean Dyche
  11. all falling apart early.on. Clearly we won't be getting a striker in, and will still be left with Walcott and Redmond
  12. Gakpo deal off. Good start to the day. Hopefully we have someone lined up who's gone under the radar.
  13. what about signing a striker though,??
  14. does Ayoze Perez ever play/score against any other team other than us?
  15. hoping this is one where we slag off the starting line up enough and Ralph being clueless, that we might actually win. But another uninspiring line up
  16. brilliant signing. Another one for the creche, we'll have to hire an additional babysitting assistant soon.
  17. Sponsor looks shit, as with most shirts, but it's different and fresh. Best home shirt in years
  18. why is it we always seem to be one of the last teams to release our kits? seems to have happened a lot in recent years, even with different suppliers
  19. early goal for Chelsea. That should just about seal our safety😉
  20. great result, commentators dont seem to be making much of it; its an absolutely massive 2 points dropped there. The greatest club side the world has ever seen at least wont be winning the league.
  21. not looking good for Leeds now, think Everton will survive. Are we actually being talked about as relegation candidates?
  22. it's no surprise clubs are after JWP. He's good enough to fit in at Utd or City, and would get plenty of game time at both. Let's not continue with the 'he won't leave, he loves the club' nonsense. If someone comes in with a bid over £60 million then I fully expect him to leave.
  23. not sure if the poster who wrote about Talksport employing Austin was being serious, as the transcript of the news article is from a Talksport clip. His bitterness towards us shines through on it; Andy Goldstein did point out Leicester are only two points above us. Austin also mentions how we've been on a downward spiral since Koeman, which is a bit of an extreme description imo. If that was the case we'd be lingering in 16th place in the Championship. My main worry would be Newcastle coming in with a bid, which realistically may happen. If they offered, say £80 million, then I think we are selling. I've been JWP's biggest critic in the past, but believe now he could do a job at a bigger club like Utd. Still not sure if, as stupid as it sounds, he's a big enough name.
  24. don't know what to expect, we have a decent record there winning on our last 3 visits. Ralph has to do something to change things but it's difficult to see him getting that right. Brighton 0-0 Saints
  25. yeah Bruno Guimares and Trippier (who's largely been injured)aside, even we would be unhappy with any of the other signings. Like it or not, Howe's doing a good job, even getting a tune out of Joelinton. They have overpaid for sure, but it's not comparable with Pep and City operating in the market of replacing £50 million players with £50 million plauers.
