  1. keep getting insufficient tickets message or product not on sale. Tried in all categories for one adult and 2x u17
  2. Biggest taking from that game is that we don't want to be playing Norwich in the playoffs. Ipswich still top but all of a sudden looking doubtful for the top 2, crazy league
  3. yeah you're probably right. Reminds me of last season in our final 10 games 'if we just win our next two' every week when we were incapable of winning a single game.
  4. We need quite a lot of results to go for us, such as Leicester today and they are now winning. We would need to win 4-5 on the bounce just to apply some pressure, I don't want to give up hope just yet but it could well be over at the end of play tonight.
  5. If we were to beat Ipswich on Monday, then we will have gained ground on at least 2 of the top 3 over the easter fixtures, albeit maybe only a point. So not sure how today's result completely rules us out of the automatics. It was always the case we'd need to win at the top 3, those games are far more valuable than against the others. I'm sure if we'd have won today and drew at Ipswich it would be seen as a good return. It's very fine margins though; lose on Monday and that's absolutely it. Fairplay to Ipswich though they are relentless.
  6. what fixture list are you looking at? 4 of our next 6 are at home. Surely you can't be expecting them to drop points at home to Sheffield Wednesday? We're going to have to win there whatever happens in order to get a points swing on them. Same with Leeds and Leicester. We just have to keep winning, one slip up and it could all be over but equally, we could be right in the mix still in 3 weeks time
  7. crazy schedule now for April. Imagine if a team like Liverpool got given this for a PL run in, you'd never hear the end of it. Too many games now in such a short space of time, especially considering we probably need to win 8 from 10 to have a chance of automatics. Not much we can do now, but will need some perspective if we win a few then get battered 5-0 after some rotation.
  8. very nervous for this one. Despite our incredible run we still need to keep winning as Leeds have a very easy run of fixtures now. Have watched City a few times as local, they are playing better under Manning, but quite honestly no one from their starting 11 gets in ours. But they are hardworking. It is vital we are out the blocks quick like we were at Swansea. I think the run comes to an end Friday but tonight will be a hard fought 2-1 win.
  9. confirmed by Fabrizio as going ahead, loan with buy option. Bit unexpected, he's clearly got potential but I don't think Martin is a huge fan. Whilst he seems popular with fans, he still seems to give the ball away the most. It may seem like a blow at this late stage, but I think we can cope with this.
  10. Martin trying to play it safe, best we can hope for is a draw, sadly. Strange to be seeing all the hate for Smallbone on various social media, when just a few weeks ago most of the fanbase seemed delighted we had not sold him, followed by signing a new contract.
  11. Leicester levels above us. season is over, we will win enough games but promotion is gone, we are so far off
  12. Great start for him, but then we know what he can do having been playing in a terrible team for a few seasons. He can still be a legend at West Ham, all this nonsense about how he should have stayed; seriously, give it up. Good luck to him, move on.
  13. great to just see us playing with a bit if energy. Loved just see Bednarek drive forward then in 2 passes we were in on goal; refreshing to see after several years of slow tempo sideways passing. KWP seems to have checked out already, can see Fulham or similar coming in with a late bid for him. I've changed my opinion on Adams and Tella, we absolutely have to keep them. A nervy couple of weeks now, especially given that we know clubs are making bids on them.
  14. It's getting frustrating and of course the club is working on things, but we are losing time here in sorting out our squad. With the players we have available we are not at the lebel to challenge for automatic promotion, and I'd be surprised if we beat Plymouth tomorrow. There's some huge games in September and we could be playing catch up by then. My understanding is Che to Everton is pretty much a done deal. It's disappointing, but equally he could get goals to get us up but we know he can't quite cut it in the PL.
  15. We need to get a move on in this transfer window. There's potential to challenge, but right now this team is miles off it. We're going to make it really tough for ourselves by not winning any of the next 4-5 games
  16. why would he stay though? He'll still have an eye on the Euros, although it's unlikely. Why do we expect him to stay? the only players who stay at one club forever are the likes of Mark Noble, as no one better actually want them. It's almost as ridiculous as saying Tino should stay because the medical staff looked after him so well so he 'owes us' I'm gutted he's gone, like most of us. It's mainly the young twitter brigade amongst us who cant handle it as they've only been following since 2010. I thought we would let Lavia go, and keep JWP. We just have to trust Wilcox has a plan in place. Give him his emotional farewell speech and free kick reel, then move on
  17. really worrying, a massive gap to fill with Lavia and JWP gone. Got to keep the faith that Wilcox has a decent replacement lined up.
  18. It looks good at the end, but would have been so disappointing to draw that. We know what the Martin playbook is all about, we will struggle for sure against teams sitting back if Armstrong was leading the line. Defensively we looked ok, although not really tested. And how good was Stu Armstrong when he came on? That was more like 3 years ago. Never had pace but always looking to drive forward. Created a couple of openings and a couple of shots. The way we saw out injury time was almost faultless. Positive signs, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. Got to get to the end of the window first. There will be some frustrating games undoubtedly, but on that showing plenty of promise to show we currently have the tools to challenge for promotion this season.
  19. Can't see too many departures from our starting 11 from last night. The commentary team and pundits are suggesting we may lose half our team. Wilcox has already shown we won't just accept anything. I think we will be happy getting near £100m for Lavia/Tino/Salisu/DCC. Would be surprised if we let the likes of KWP, Tella and Adams go after last night's showing. Tall Paul and Sulemana will likely leave but they are both forgettable. A new striker and cb needed. We will have some problems though if JWP leaves late in the window.
  20. I actually forgot about it, as Che wheeled of he had that look that he had just seen a flag or something. No need any more for that hesitancy every time a goal goes in. Some decisions will go against us but so what, they still get them wrong even with VAR.
  21. We've been incapable of going on any run of form whatsoever, and there's nothing to suggest that will change. Think we may edge it 1-0 tomorrow, but it's fairly irrelevant and we won't be winning at Newcastle on sunday whilst others pick up points over the weekend. We will be going into the Forest game 7 points from safety and some people will still be exploring possibilities of what could happen 'if we just win our last 4 games'. Just give it up, we've been down for months and just been lucky to have some poor sides around us. There's been no point where we have looked like, or even come close to overtaking them in the table.
  22. Not an inspiring line up, but these are the guys Selles trusts, and he has options on the bench. On paper West Ham should win, but we know how their fans can get, there's more pressure on them. Lose and it's all over as we're not getting anything next week. A draw probably isn't enough, but a win would be absolutely huge. For me this is undoubtedly our biggest and most important game since Swansea away. These players need to understand that and play like their lives depend on it. It's difficult to see us winning, heart says 1-0 Saints, head says 3-0 West Ham.
  23. yes. Back in the day at the Dell we always seemed to have a fighting spirit, and always had a chance of a result against any team at home, despite regularly only winning 1 or 2 away games every season. Our current side has been poor for so long, and no team fears coming to St. Marys.Whilst there's been improvement under Selles, it would be a miracle if we can get 4/5 wins out of our remaining games. I'm almost certain we will just fall short though.
  24. can't be worrying too much about other teams' results. There's 8 involved so they can't all get beat every week. We need to get our own results. Lose tomorrow and it would appear to be game over.
  25. 'But it's still close, we've still got 11 games' We've had 27 games and scored 20 goals. This team does not and will not score enough goals to keep us in this league. It's game over now, we won't have enough to beat Spurs or West Ham, and I would expect a 6-7 point gap to have opened by then. And still people will cling on thinking we might just win 4 on the bounce. Sorry, it's not happening. I feel for Selles as he's given it a go, but it's all too late now.
