This is what I disagree with. If we want to maintain or improve then we can't keep losing so many stars at the same time, selling a star and investing in youth I have no problem with. Large squad rebuilds every year are annoying.

Consider me firmly in the underwhelmed camp so far as well. We appear to be seeing a gearing back from the club to purchasing players with potential again with a focus on youth. I'm fine with that, I'm proud of our youth but I wish they'd sign a couple of wow players if we are going to be selling our stars.

With respect, this is definitely written by Utd's media department. This is not a slight on Shaw, he signed the thing I'm sure he meant it but we have heard him speak and he did not write this. Honestly I don't see why that is upsetting, no doubt the club asked if he wanted to be involved, perhaps it was even his idea. It is a nice gesture.
