Time for a revival of the question again I think: How much is the best deadball specialist in the world worth?

We lost 9-0 twice; to be frank Ralph is extremely lucky as I can't think of many premier league clubs who would hold onto their manager after that. Good thing we have a halfway sensible board as well (before I get murdered I am a big Ralph fan and was all for keeping him). So yeah, I can certainly understand the doubters but he's a decent manager and for us I think a very good one. Long may it continue! (until he retires in 2024).

Nice to see Che becoming a really solid prem striker as well. I mean sure, Broja gets all the plaudits but Che is turning into a very decent buy as well.

Ralph has his flaws but I legitimately can’t think of another manager who: 1) We could realistically get 2) I would rather have than him We have a settled happy team who don’t play boring football. I think a lot of teams would love to be in our stable position.

Ok I have just looked and he apparently said similar a year ago. His contract expires in 2024 and he said he was considering retirement at the end of it. So not exactly a bombshell I guess if he announced it a year ago.

Yeah we had an eye gym ahead of pretty much everyone on the curve and things like that have become standard. Unfortunately there needs to be balance and there is little point having fancy tools if your players and recruitment are rubbish.
