  1. Should be Aussies unless Pakistan show their remarkable ability to collapse under pressure
  2. Go the dons!
  3. Christ, what the hell is wrong with this league? Every bloody team in the top 6 looks to be trying to top 90 points.
  4. http://www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=34454&start=1
  5. We're going at 2 points a game since our first 10 disasters, what do we need to be going at then?
  6. I'm sure this has been done before but what is everyone's opinions on the individual values of our current first team squad?
  7. I've looked at his posts to, odd mix, he's either a Cherries fan masquerading as a Saints fan or as he's said he happens to live in Bournemouth and supports them as his second team. Regardless, his posts haven't exactly been confrontational like some of the pompey fans we get on here trolling as Saints.
  8. Not that anyone seems to be following this thread anymore but SA do a good job limiting India to under 300 when a massive score looked on the cards.
  9. Yes, the batting was mental staleness but at 160 odd for 8 Bangladesh should have been dead and buried... Enter Jimmy Anderson with 5 wides off his first ball into the attack, as the bowling side when the going got tough England seemed to give up at the end of the Bangladeshi innings.
  10. Cough looks like SA aren't the only chokers this WC cough
  11. It depends on how long the Liebbher's are intending to own us for. The loan funded option would be less attractive to potential buyers in the future as it would lower the value of the club and the future profits available as well obviously. If however they intended to hold on to us for the duration of the long term loan, (Unlikely if as stated we have a 5 year plan,) Then obviously the interest deduction for tax purposes would be far and above the most attractive means of funding as they could reduce the tax paid on profits for the duration of the loan, (If we're not predicted to make a profit for many years anyway which, as this is football, is likely then the tax deduction is meaningless as I believe assessed losses can only be carried forward if the entity is going to be profitable.) That coupled with the Liebbher's vast fortune may make owner's equity the best funding option. Issuing bonds is an option and I think the interest payments on bonds would be deductible by the company, are non-returnable bonds the same as perpetual bonds anyone? (I write all this whilst wearing a tin-hat in case I've got anything wrong.)
  12. For God's sake people the Liebherr's are rich we know that, the exact amount doesn't really matter as long as they run my club well. We're supposed to be self sustaining in a few years anyway
  13. In league 1? That'sa laugh, pro sportsmen have atiny shelf life you'll be working until you're 65. Fair enough players like Rooney earn obscene wages but that's only because he's good at what he does,( well... I suppose Rooney's a bad example,) But look at how many ex Saints there are who are not exactly well off in their golden years. The few at the top make a killing but for the hundreds of others who aren't quite good enough to play at the top level that's another story.
  14. Hate to agree with Deppo here Alps but cause celebre is an issue arousing controversy not a cause for celebration
  15. Dear God, our fixture list is horrifying O.o We really need to win some tough games to secure second and having looked at Brighton's I don't think we have a good shot at pipping first.
  16. My Dad is the reason I support SFC, he has been a fan for 40 odd years, I've never lived in Southampton, never even lived in England and have faced constant ridicule for being a Saints fan. Believe me, if I could I would be in the stadium every week but as is if I choose to buy a replica shirt to show my support of the club I love when I can't even watch them on television surely that isn't a bad thing?
  17. Let's annihilate Bompey so they'll shut the hell up please?
  18. On a side note I hate being South African. F***ing choking loser c*nts
  19. I love being South African right up until we choke chasing a meager total again
  20. I love being South African right up until we choke in the semis yet again.
  21. He's 25 I think? He's got his best years ahead of him hopefully in a team that nurtures him, his pompey stay has been a joke.
  22. Put me down for 100 quid please. Dexter Blackstock is our greatest goalie ever perfect record of clean sheets.
  23. What's with jumping on Alps guys? I agree with the man, where's my online beat down?
  24. I agree with Alps, and it's not just me, a few of our rivals are rubbing their hands with glee at the thought of us playing two games a week for the rest of the season. If one of our key players gets injured instead of missing 3 games, all of a sudden it's six and at the wrong end of the season to.
  25. I've been confident this entire year but the Cherries game is a real worry to me, they look nigh unbeatable at the moment and I'm seriously worried about them nicking second.
