Turning off my laptop and going to have a ****, while it may improve my mood, is unlikely to affect on field performances.

Where do you think we'd be if Pardew had stayed?
farawaysaint replied to Islander's topic in The Saints
I'm not criticising Adkins, far from it. All I meant to say was Pardew is rather succesful with his premier league record but his record outside the top division is viewed as something as a failure. Barring our JPT success of course -

Ironic really, Adkins was definitively the better manager in league 1 and the Championship but Pardew can wipe the floor with him in the premier league in terms of relative records. Different ball game and style of pay entirely apparently. -
Woooooo, now we just need the rest of their squad to call in sick and we win 3-0 by default

I don't really understand the gloom and doom. We're losing and yes that isn't fun but we've had two promotions in two years a fantastic achievement and if we o straight down I'm still very happy with the progress made. I'll be miserable when we inevitably lose Rickie and Adam after going down though.

Harry Redknapp to be named manager within 3 weeks
farawaysaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
This would be idiotic. Nicola is not an idiot. Will never happen -
Another depressing thread started by someone with a tiny post count You'd think that Pompey had better things to care about like selling out their own stadium

Here's a paraphrase quote from his biography, "When Arsene called and offered me GPB100,000 a week I almost swerved my porsche off the road at how derisory the offer was." Knob head

Lots of threads on Nigel Adkins but......

Poor choice of words perhaps, the knee jerk Adkins out reactions rather. -

farawaysaint replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Honestly I think more than a few of the negative threads have been started by fishey few fans judging by the Adkins out poll's practically unanimous stay vote. -
That typing error is going to cost me I fear.

I certainly wouldn't want to eet him down a dark alley Seriously though, he's impressed me loads this year.

J Rod has been everywhere, why sub him? 2nd half is where it gets interesting, can old Jol outfox Adkins? I bloody hope not.

Some Tweets Saying We Have Borrowed Against Future Season Ticket Sales
farawaysaint replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
SFC's taxation rather is increased by increased by (1-the corporate tax rate) multiplied by the interest repayments . Their taxable income is increased by the full potential interest payments. -

farawaysaint replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
The company in this case does NOT get to deduct the interest on the loan meaning the tax implications are that SFC's taxable income is increased by (1-the corporate tax rate) multiplied by the interest repayments. Everything has a tax effect. -

Rodriguez should start, has a lot to prove after all with his price tag. Let's see him in action as a striker

It's a hideous disgusting habit and unfortunately yes I smoke. I smoke two or three cigarettes a day but it's been a slow progression up to that from only smoking on weekends a few years ago . I am addicted and even if I do smoke very little as is the case I still think it's revolting and want more than anything to quit.

I was dissapointed when we let him go seems the coaches at the academy made the right choice though. A short summary of prior charges courtesy of wikipedia. "In 2006, at the age of 15, he was sentenced to 11 weeks in a young offenders institute after being convicted of participating in a series of armed mugging incidents in Muswell Hill, London. On 27 August 2011 he was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a man in Newcastle city centre leaving the victim unconscious in the street. In October 2011 he was charged with being drunk and disorderly in Newcastle's Cathedral Square. The charge came only days after Ranger had been reinstated to Newcastle United's first-team training after a three-month exile in the club's reserves. In March 2012 he was convicted of being drunk and disorderly and was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £135 costs. Prior to this, in May 2011 Ranger was questioned by Newcastle after posing with a replica gun in a photograph. The gun was later handed in. In March 2012, he was fined by The FA for making homophobic comments on social networking website Twitter. Later in the month he was arrested once more, this time for breaching terms of his bail whilst awaiting trial on four assault charges." What a tremendous jackass.

I have a bet with a Chelsea "fan" that Lambert will have more goals than Torres by the January window. Probably time to get some early gloating in while I'm ahead

Ahem... A quote from a Villa forum on the lad "Gaston Rameriez as (sic) ****ed us up.."

Pardew was sacked after a poor start just after we smashed a team. Say goodbye to NA

I like rugby and golf you buggers Never understood dressage, respect the discipline as a very difficult technical achievement but it just seems really silly to me.
