  1. I thought it was the right tactic against Norwich away from home and we certainly caught them out a few times with it.
  2. I'm very happy with this window, Wanyama has been a beast barring the Norwich game and Osvaldo is talented though yet to show it; strangely, no-one is talking about Lovren who is fitting in amazingly well.
  3. Bog off Barry, this one wasn't remotely funny or clever
  4. Due to where Lallana is playing, Fox is usually left stuck marking two men it's not surprising he's having problems.
  5. Half time thoughts: Clear penalty denied, Wanyama has looked pretty awful given the high standard he has already set. Lallana looks brilliant in his 200th appearance (per commentator I had no idea of the number) we seem to be employing the long ball quite effectively (a tactic that has been used so successfully against us when we press high as Norwich are doing,) Osvaldo appears keen to impress but maybe a bit too eager (understandable) and Boruc is awesome as ever.
  6. Didn't the under 18s finish first or second in their group last year? I imagine Doddsy would feel very rightly aggrieved if his position was called into question based on last year's showing and the players he has brought through.
  7. Good draw, considering how the gasheads still idolise Rickie I imagine that he'd love to down City in the cup Should make for interesting viewing if he scores as well.
  8. I die a little inside every time someone writes that
  9. There's Wummery and then there's just plain this
  10. Super clinical from J-Rod, where were his shooting boots at Sunderland?
  11. When we won the title in 2010 I remember feeling ecstatic, it may be a nothing trophy but it IS a trophy. Every single Portsmouth fc fan went out of their way to tell us just what a meaningless accomplishment it was and how they would be embarrassed to even compete in such a non event. Now Portsmouth have the prestigious honour of competing in the non event for the second year running and I began thinking how we would react if they won. The blue few would hail it as a massive triumph for their fan owned club and to be fair it would be a fairly large accomplishment for them as things stand. If we were to denounce their victory as a "meaningless accomplishment in a nothing trophy" as they did to us it would devalue our own accomplishment and take some of the shine off a great day out. If we were to do nothing they would be practically insufferable in lauding it as a triumph for fan ownership and running a club the "right way." What would you do/how would you feel in the unlikely event that Pompey were to lift the trophy in Wembley this season?
  12. Prowsey has played more senior games than him I think?
  13. If he had scored against Sunderland then he'd be in no question. He didn't and I fully expect the lame excuses to follow
  14. I found this informative, thank you, from an idiot.
  15. Raimirez really needs to go huh?
  16. So we're not looking great then?
  17. http://www.sportspromedia.com/news/saints_to_continue_soccer_studies_with_university_tie_up/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+SportsProDailyDeal+%28SportsPro+Media+-+Latest+News%29&utm_medium=feed It sounded really stupid and then I read this and it actually makes loads of sense.
  18. How in the hell did Fulham have the second highest debt in the league last year?
  19. I didn't mind until I read a man-u forum They'll nick him from us and loan him back for two seasons, good business all round... Where are these people from?
  20. Gloom and doom merchant
  21. Nope, still a very good manager, I'm following his Reading career with some interest. I don't miss his press conferences which were abysmal but he put our current team together, gave us consecutive promotions and developed an exciting playing style as well as overseeing a fantastic team spirit. I still think he's one of the best English managers around.
  22. Money talks Ron, if we start to hemorrhage money at too high a rate they WILL sell us on without question. If my father were to die and one of his hobbies was proving too expensive for me to keep up I'd move it on, I'd feel rather bad about it but I would do it.

  24. I seriously doubt NC will give up on a 13m asset that easily.
