Sad but true, for a fraction of their own defense budget and no loss of their soldiers the US is achieving one of their top strategic objectives in weakening Russia. Ukraine have captured some close to top of the line Russian equipment as well (and an intact Iranian drone based on photos) which I imagine American intelligence is ecstatic about.

That’s disingenuous though as you know. Logistics are not a matter of giving Ukraine a Himars and it instantly showing up at the front ready for use. It’s been seven months which given transportation and training sounds like a reasonable lead time and Ukraine is now starting to make huge battlefield gains with the provided equipment.

I don’t have a clue to be honest, no one does. I have no doubt London is on the target list as well as many other major European and American capitals the second it happens though. My objection to it is largely moral though, the civilian toll would be inconceivable.

Moscow is a city of 12 million people, I’d rather nobody nuked it, even if Putin nukes the frontlines. I’d prefer if NATO just immediately scrambled every jet and flattened all Russian military bases.

Well yes for all the screaming and shouting and endless sanctions North Korea are basically safe from conventional invasion as they would destroy the major cities in the South. They are a pariah state but their corrupt government is safe from external intervention from a major player. It only makes sense for a fragile autocracy to currently pursue nukes though. For any developing state the costs far outweighs the benefits.

It’s idiotic though, how do you have another referendum when half the population has left or been evicted (in the case of Crimea) from their homes and a good portion killed? How could a referendum ever be fair given the pro Russian discrimination in the occupied territories. Elon is a twat I don’t know why so many see him as a messianic figure…

There is nowhere to retreat to across the Dnepr the bridges are out and not suitable to cross in military vehicles. Unless the Russians create a whole load of new temporary bridges their heavy artillery is trapped there.

Tax cuts have a negligible impact on growth though especially tax cuts to the higher income bracket. The reason there is so much discontent is that Truss’s economic plan makes no sense. Not only does it not make sense but they are deliberately hiding the impact by refusing to release forecasts.
