I love the sitting on the dock of the bay idea.... Think lines 5-8 need to be made more footbally/Saintsy ideally. Maybe just one line? That period from the 2005 relegation to 2010 was both mental and brutal. I don't have the stats and wouldn't know where to find them, but it sort of feels like 50% of all players in Saints' full history came in and out of the door in that 5 year period. And most were dross.

Any update on Edozie?

If you're going to have VAR, I'd limit it to just checking if either foot is offside. Not a fucking eyelash or a nasal hair.

Near impossible to get into the England team from the EFL. I’d say THB is a couple of years away. Edozie is odds against for a cap - but if he can perform at a higher level, maybe.

Downes would be a big miss. He is even more important in away games. Wasn’t overally impressed by Shea Charles v Plymouth. I’d probably take a draw - but that’s mainly because I’m getting excited by this unbeaten run record thingy. Which is a bit bloody stupid really.

I take the point. I was surprised to see Stephens as (what seemed) a straightforward right back v Swansea. I wonder if there is a case for 3-5-2 though?

I’d like Alcaraz to start this one. And maybe keep KWP at right midfield.

The left wing is fantastic for us. Especially if Edozie basically knows he has an hour. He can run himself ragged then Fraser can electrify the last half hour. Has worked a treat so far.

I'd say a majority of players registered with the club hardly ever play for us. At some point, you cut them or sell them off.
