I fear he's in the "too good to play for us for long" category. But what a player. Calm whilst also pretty aggressive and just keeps the whole team ticking over. I was told he had 100% pass completion today?

I’ve been a critic of RM. But hats off - that was really good. Some faster passing and way better down the wings. A nervy 25 minutes after they scored - made it unnecessary hard for ourselves. But that’s a fan speaking - to a neutral that surely looked like a very comfortable A, B, C victory. Downes and KWP really good. Also decent sub performance by Aribo. Surprised we didn’t use Adams at all, but hey ho.

I’m finding this season rather testing. If it wasn’t for stoppage time, I’d be finding it wrist-slitting.

I never know whether, in these sort of games, I favour going defensive and irritating them or risk going for the early goal and really unsettling the crowd. By "these sort of games", I mean away fixtures against opponents we have a fair chance of beating and who have a restless fan base (which PNE seem to at the moment)

Always a delight to win at the death. Really good last 15 minutes or so. Prior to that, very average performance though. Shea Charles should be in the starting XI. I’d start with him rather than Smallbone - it would make our midfield a bit defensive, but defending (especially through the middle) has been our standout weakness. MotM for me was KWP, I think.

I was at Wembley....great result, superb 2nd half....flat atmosphere though....

I think for me it's that the ten points we've won were a shade lucky. Ok, maybe not Sheff Weds...but even then, a draw looked likely. QPR and Plymouth deserved a point each against us. We were suicidal against Norwich and a bit fortunate to scrape a point. The games we've lost, we've deserved to lose. So, I think 10 points probably flatters us.

I basically agree with all those who've said we have massively over-complicated things. Arguably, you need to find a weird "edge" of some sort if you're one of the weaker teams in the division you're in....(I guess Wimbledon were an example back in the day...fight dirty and play long balls...etc) But FFS, we have one of the very best squads in the Championship. Just get the basics right and we should be in the top 2 or 3. But we seem to be run by a bunch of w@nky football theorists.

I was pretty hopeful after the first few games (ignoring Gillingham as a wobble). But I expected marked improvement thereafter. We have plunged backwards. It’s not just 4 bad results - it’s the utter haplessness. He needs to go and the sooner the better.
