Excellent choice.

Might be, you know, if Ramirez wasn't injured as reported above.

A little of column a) a lot of column b). So mostly you are correct though they do sometimes reflect the actual state of play/insider knowledge.

Bearing in mind that Clarence Seedorf is and was a beast with some exceptional levels of fitness this does not surprise me. That being said I get your point, some of the domestic stuff out there is atrocious. I just find it reaaaaallllllly hard to believe that there is a single top division in the world (of established football leagues) that is as bad as the SPL. It's truly awful.
-
I'd say that the Brazilian 'premier' league is far superior to that of the SPL. I am sure it was meant as tongue in cheek but still....

Think we have to agree to disagree on this one. I agree there is little in it but I don't think geographically they are an as attractive prospect, the expansion still only takes stadium capacity to 26k and I would say based on history and the yo yo nature of teams coming up from the NPC we still hold over Cardiff in terms of propects for signings. All other aspects are pretty similar with club and stadium size. That said something doesn't appear to be all present and correct as we've not yet signed any of our supposed big name targets.
-
Honest question. Based on what? Their long standing history in the top flight? Their huge stadium? There glorious cup history? I may have missed something (genuinely) but although ours is hardly anything to write home about I'd still say it's a proportionally bigger than their's in every sense of the word.

Seems an odd thread to be picking at still when he ended up being the top English scorer in the league, helped keep us up and was very worthy of his time in the prem. Whether he repeats it is another matter but to say he wasn't up to it would suggest you are merely carrying on with your Lambert agenda for the sake of it when statistics and performances would argue completely the opposite.

Massimo Taibi. Juan Veron. Bartez (who was terrible before anyone says otherwise). Jordi Cruyff. Djemba-Djemba. Bellion. Playing for Man Yoo does not make you exempt from being a **** player. In fact Ferguson has made a few clangers though over 25 years I suppose he can be forgiven

Not nice news at all. Thought's go out to the Chaplows

I wasn't basing it on that one game though. I was basing it on having watched him play for Madrid numerous times. And as you rightly state I wouldn't trust the tactical nous of anyone who thought the acquisitions of Olivier Barnard and Calum Davenport would sure up a leaky defence. Granero is a very good central midfielder who I would be happy to see sign for Saints. And whilst you are correct in your assessment that playing for a good football team doesn't necessarily make you a great player, playing well in a good team usually does. And Granero did. That being said is he much better than Morgan? Ummmm probably not and not vs the wage he'd demand. That still doesn't mean I'd be disappointed in this signing. Quite the opposite.
-
Add another 100%. Granero looked like QPR's only useful player when we stuffed them at their place and he didn't play 70+ times for Real Madrid because 'he's ****e'. He's actually a quality player and I'd happily have him at Saints.
-
Yep think that one is pretty comprehensive. Complete TOSH. Literally the worst Saints player I have ever seen of the legit signings (and by legit signings I am discounting Ali Dia and Bleidis etc) and that is taking into account the signings that came after him.
-
****ing worrying. Still a big boost for Reading, QPR and Villa that news will be.

Happy ****ing Saturday

Yeah genuinely good news that. -
Good! So having Lallana in a slump PLUS no Ramirez just compounds an already ****ty situation.
-
Is it? Toothless against Fulham I'd say quite the opposite. Seems we are resigned to being ridiculously poor in defence this season (and it is ridiculous) so I would at least prefer to have 11.5m worth of attacking class in our side than a relatively average LB/RB who isn't going to effect a result either way. Not least until he has changed his sodding boots so isn't slipping over every 5 mins. Don't get me wrong I think he's been ok but with or without him we are shipping goals so may as well do all we can to score more also.

Who isn't.......

Any chance that those who have received them do not need all of them and would love to sell one to me.......Plllllllleeeeeeaaasssseeeee?

Grab and cough. How long can it take???? I doubt we sent a medical team over minus a bloody contract.
