  1. Should it? It's genuinely awful. That defence (minus Bertrand) is the worst I've seen, and Shane Long is still not the answer to any question.
  2. Given recent 'successes' then I'd suggest they take the Wikipedia route from now on.
  3. "Highly rated Paulo Gazzaniga"...I couldn't take him seriously after that line.
  4. And Long stays on and on and on and on and on...
  5. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  6. At least this week I'm bored BEFORE the match starts. What a truly uninspiring line up with just the dropping of Redmond the only positive. Here's hoping I eat my words.
  7. Firstly I am not picking on you on purpose but this keeps coming up and it's just plain wrong. Whether you are intimately familiar with them or not is irrelevant, the stats speak for themselves. As for the Premier league years quote - you're wrong again. He has, so far, been injured for just one premier league season that he has played (the one with us last year). He is fit this year and he played 35 times for QPR of the three full seasons he's had in the top flight. As for the failed medical at Hull, it was apparently down to a dicky knee...Unfortunately for Hull and fortunately for QPR he signed for Rangers a week later, played 31 games and scored 17 goals....Not bad for a dicky knee. I do agree about your comment regarding 'luck' though. What horse ****. And he should be given a chance with us. Baird of the Land is possibly correct BUT I'd take a few more goals and a lot less movement at the moment over workhouse Long who is what 11 games and counting without a goal and even more if you add in his international performances.
  8. Cracking little myth this. He's made less than 25 appearances, in a season, only once prior to 2016 and the one big injury he got with QPR. Then one injury hit season with us. He has not been, and is not, 'injury prone' nor has 'injury followed him everywhere'.
  9. Lol. Quite.
  10. And winning the corner that came of that goal. And creating a goal scoring opportunity prior to that. But yeah, apart from that!
  11. Thank God. Boufal has been mostly effective as well, so glad to see that
  12. This. All day this. I don't particularly like Long either but he's got to be a better option than Redmond. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41379524
  13. Long did play well yesterday it has to be said, and I am far from his biggest admirer. BUT, Jame's underlying point is still valid in that all those other things he does are great for the team but at the end of the day aren't going to get us goals. So the same issue persists. Long possibly should be starting in place of the ineffectual Redmond with our most natural striker, Gabbi, up front. But that isn't likely to happen either.

    Redmond

Average player, playing averagely. Always has been always will be.
  15. No, no he wasn't.
  16. Yep grumbles aside, this set up suits us much better. So far so good
  17. At least twice
  18. Brilliant. Gets the formation behind the striker correct for a change and drops the main striker for Long. Sigh.
  19. I can tell you one half of the scoreline now if you want? Nil.
  20. Well played.
  21. Will we? ON what basis? Tadic Redmond and JWP suddenly developing some creativity?
  22. This. Just saying 'get better' clearly hasn't worked. The personnel is all wrong.
  23. Do we? I'd strongly suggest that we don't. The midfield hasn't chipped with any number of goals for three years and yet the personnel remains the same or becomes a downgrade on what we had (Redmond)
  24. I did. Quite right. Away form was woeful still, but plenty good enough for a mid table finish despite them selling the player who was directly responsible for most of their goals, in January. Don't get me wrong, I am not championing Silva (nor would I be disappointed with his appointment) but lets not start looking at their relegation as his failure. It was a miracle he nearly rescued them.
