It is and it isn't though I do agree with the sentiment. 4231 suits out personnel better but its not as simple as 541 = shit. It was fine in Tonda's first 9 games with the CB stepping forward into midfield and the front 3 playing interchangeably but we aren't even doing that anymore.

This is the crux of all the issues for me - he wasn't, he isn't but in our team, in this way of playing (not even a full formation issue), the two biggest goal threats/assisters from last season, are absolutely fucking shit. Its the system - probably formation though I don't fully buy that, and the way we are being set up to play. Its so shit....I have no idea why they changed it from the 7 games where he had success.

I'd argue quite the opposite, in fact it's the one thing he could conceivably change and should have done whilst he was rehabilitating. You don't have to be Hulk to be a reasonable and physical player, Messi is testament to that. He certainly didn't look up to the physical rigours of top English football though.

Couldn't agree more, we seem to be looking for any other answer than "we have shit players, an inexperienced manager and as a result are playing average football". Fuck me I can't believe how different we suddenly look again from 3 weeks ago - which was world's away from how we were playing 3 weeks prior to that. Can we just start doing that again please but with a plan B when it doesn't work - which might well involve an actual 'hold up' CF.

Those wanting to have a pop at Eckert now, have at it. That was as bad as its been under him and has been coming for about 3 games. No idea why THB has stopped stepping into midfield, why AA has stopped dropping off, and why our subs are utterly ineffectual.

Ryan Fraser is the answer to no questions these days, ineffectual when he comes on. Would rather not bother with Manning either. Wellington would be preferable to ether.

That's an awful sub. I do hope there's a reason behind it.
