I think the biggest mistake the mods made was releasing the new look during the close season, meaning that all the moaning buggers on here haven't got any Saints news to get worked up about the look (which seems fine to me). I imagine new functions will become more evident during the season. I appreciate that defence of the changes is slightly less valuable coming from someone who hasn't bothered to pay to use the site but its not cos I don't want to, its cos I don't trust paypal and don't have a chequebook.

As far as I'm aware this is happening. It certainly is with the whitewater centre being built at Broxbourne: the course will be open to the general public before the Olympics and has two parts- an intermediate course for people who want to get into kayaking and the olympic course itself. It will also be available for whitewater rafting which will definitely bring in money to the local area (being a popular school group/ stag do/ corporate) activity. There has also been a course built and recently opened at Cardiff Bay which may not have got funding if we didn't have the olympics. Both thse places will bring money into the local areas (Cardiff already is). I never thought I'd say this (being a namby pamby lefite student type) but I agree with Stu. The Olympics is definitely a good thing. Doesn't stop the logo from being a big pile of **** though.
