All yesterday proved is that we are going to really struggle and it will be a miracle if we don't go straight back down, the spine of the team goalkeeper and strikers particularly simply aren't good enough. Trying to see positives in not scoring against ten men that only had 20% possession in the second half is scraping the barrel what are we going to do when team have more possession than us. The good news is it's only one game in but how on earth are we going to correct what's glaringly obvious when we've had all summer to do so and failed! RM has some kind of naive faith that players like McCarthy AA aribo smallbone etc are suddenly going to become premier league quality players

Let's hope Martin isn't too distracted with his extra curricular activities 😂 joking aside does he deserve his chance no matter what this season even if it turns out the championship is his level. Will the club intervene if we are bottom at Xmas probably not as a long term project having just signed a new contract. Was hoping we would kick on and sign a couple of really exciting players that would get the club buzzing but so far noone to get too excited about.

Inggs and lallana are not the answer to our problems! Nor was Walcott, I can't think of many if any players that have come back to the club and been a huge success?. This club needs to stop revisiting our past and look to the future of signing new players!

I don't think the club is prepared to pay the going rate for a decent striker 30m plus we are going to continue our fashion of cheap has-beens that might possibly come good again, the last money spent on sullemana and stewart was evidence our club talent scouts are clearly lacking

Armstrong and Stephens may know what it takes to be a success in the premier league but they certainly haven't got it, mediocre at best defender and poor striker at premier league level.

Fuck me have we learnt nothing with the Walcott signing! Another player that's past it will offer nothing and couldn't wait to leave us at the first offer, why do saints always prioritise sentimentality over sound business sense!.

It's not just about what players Martin brings in, its wether he's prepared to change the whole philosophy of what he believes in, passing the ball round repeatedly in front of your own goal line just isn't going to work in the premier league nor will we be able to play the possession game to wear opponents down against teams that will do it much better than us with world class players, so what tactics exactly will we be employing? Success for us will be just staying up and I will be happy with that as looking at the teams I'm not sure there are three teams that will be significantly weaker and we will have to beat the odds as teams that come straight up usually go straight back down. With that said Martin has surprised me in the championship he has to have credit for turning round a group of players with such a weak mentality so there's no reason he can't do it again 🤞

Not sure he has it in him to ditch players that aren't good enough at premier league level, Stephens, manning, sullemana, mara aribo, bree and even AA to name a few. Stick with these and we are straight back down!

Let's hope Martin now has the strength to realise that Stephens though a nice guy isn't premier league captain level his mistakes will just increase . We unfortunately need to ditch the players that aren't good enough and that's sad as some of them have contributed in our rise, AA is a backup striker in the premier league not a first choice Che will be gone and none of our strikers are good enough, there's no way AA gets 24 in the toughest league in the world more like 4 if lucky he's a great championship striker nothing more nothing less.

So What we going to do about Martin in the premier League then we all know his style will get found out????........ Just kidding fair play he has proved me wrong and never have I been so happy to be proved wrong!
