Also i think it has been a bad idea for so many pubs to be shut down in outlying towns,then it forces everyone to go drinking together in town centres,thus causing people to mix,who wouldnt normally.

I think Britons tend to drink to excess,because we work longer hours,have less public holidays and for years we never had the freedom to buy alcohol like they could in the rest of the world. I think our old licensing laws meant that we had to cram all of our drinking into a short space of time,thus now they have been relaxed slighly,we cant deal with it.

I think the club messed up selling STs at the end of the season.We had a feel good factor and i think if they had started promoting STs then,maybe we would have had sold more. But what we got was nothing from the club,until the season was nearly apon us.Then we were told about the higher prices and people losing concessions.Then when people did renew,the ticket office started sending out wrong tickets. Im not having a go at the club,i just think the whole ST thing could have been handled better.We are very lucky to have a Saints team that are a pleasure to watch and are winning most of their games.But this is not enough to entise fans alone.Prices need to be right too. In these hard times,surely the club could start treating us fans with a bit of respect,or maybe encouragement.Who knows,perhaps it might encourage more fans to make the effort to come to SMS?

Whats with all this anti ginger rubbish? Makes me laugh that most of the people who are against anyone whos remotely different tend to have something to hide themselfs. Its like when at football and you see a fat person shouting "You fat bas----" at a thin goalkeeper. Whos next? Blondes?Disabled?Mentally impaired?People without teeth?Non English? Theres a lot more to worry about in this world without trying to belittle people.

So much for the Condems stating that most of the public sector jobs that have been lost,will be picked up by the private sector.According to the BBC news on Friday,just a very small fraction of people made redundant from public sector jobs have found new employment. Yet another reason to prove that the policies of this shambolic government are totally failing!

Well i suppose the government could do the right thing and not force the firemen to pay more for their pensions and work longer? No i didnt think so!

Ive never understood why the government keep those 1950s green goddesses,because they are so slow and outdated.Surely they could buy a few ex fire engines that are no longer in use?At least they would be a lot newer.

Dont listen to those close minded people on here hamster,if you want a Saints tattoo go for it.Personally i have three Saints tattoos and ive never regreted having them done. If its your first one,may i suggest you get it on your upper arm,that way it wont show too much,even in a short sleeved shirt. Then once you are used to it,if you want more then you can have them where it shows. The tattooist just under the bridge in Woolston is a good place to start. Good luck mate.

Blimey theres a lot of people on here who have strong opinions about tattoos.Surely its up to the person if they get tattooed or not? As for iansums suggesting the less tattooed you are,the more intelligent you are?Ive never read such rubbish in my life!I know people who have qualifications longer than their arms,yet have lots of tattoos. Live and let live peeps! And yes i do have tattoos!

Not really because it was a Labour government who invented the NHS,thus allowing people to live longer.

I was at work and my manager came over and told us a plane had just crashed into the World Trade Centre.Like most people at that time,we thought it was an accident with a little plane,or something like that.When the second plane struck,all work seemed to stop and people were glued to the tvs in the office. My wife was working in the then new,soon to be opened air traffic control at Swanick. She was giving me regular updates.What surprised me,is even though everyone eventually knew it was a terrorist attack,the security at NATS(National Air Traffic Control),wasnt upgraded at all.In fact no one even stopped me when i picked her up later that day. The whole day seemed surreal to say the least.

I usually have a beer or two in the Alfred,but lately i feel the atmosphere has been going downhill. Firstly you are not allowed outside anymore with a drink in your hand,so you have to stand squashed inside,thus making the chance of getting served impossible and secondly they have put even more barriers outside,so those who do venture out are now penned in like sheep. I used to like using this pub,but will now find somewhere else for a pre match pint. Anyone else feel the same?

Sorry but for me Fox was caught out far too many times and seemed poor with his passing. But i will reserve judement because its still early days.

In his early day,especially when he recorded for the "Sun" label,Johnny Cash had one of the best voices around.When you think about it Elvis,Roy Orbison and Carl Perkins,who all were discovered by Sun owner Sam Phillips had great voices. Even in his later years,just before he died,Johnny Cash,s voice although somewhat out of tune,still had the emotional power to carry a song. All of the above would and still do knock spots of todays X Factor generation.

Im not really anti police(though i dont particually like them),i am just expressing my opinion on past experiences and observations from previous football matches.

No doubt both sets of fans will be allowed out at the same time,whilst the police will sit back with their cameras. Then when the trouble starts,the police will say that was not expected.

Well said Dune. The one thing the club seems to be doing is charging LOYAL FANS more money to follow Saints.Whether or not its a ticket tax,car parking charges or charging £3.50 for a little bottle of beer(instead of a full pint), in the concourse. Most Saints fans i know,who attend games occasionally,are disgusted by the cost of watching Saints for one game in the Championship.

Thats Socialisim working. Of course no one likes paying tax,but if you get a good interstructure,good schools,good transport system and pensions that are worth having,then surely having high taxes is better than the Condem mess we have now?
