And whos fault was it that we found ourselves in this mess? Perhaps if Lowe hadnt wasted so much of the clubs money on stupid experiments such as SCW and his waster of a mate Clifford, then maybe we could have waited for the Walcott money.
-
Agree with you Lordswood, but to be fair theres not much happening at SFC at the moment. Im sure if Rupert leaves,we sign John Terry or Scooby starts a "Get Lowe out" campaign, there will be thousands of people on here posting their views. Suppose we should wait till then.
-
Perhaps he could shave off a few centimetres from the goal posts,so instead of our players keep hiting the post, maybe they might score.

I dont think fans in Southampton are any different from anywhere else. Atmosphere, A winning team, Stability, An enjoyable matchday experience(such as the corners reopened),all helps. And of course a fair price for tickets, beer merchandise etc. Get all of these, then the crowds will return.

You see PES thats where you are doing things wrong down at Pompey. If you concentrated more on the catering and less on the football (like us),you could be winning all sorts of trophies and awards.
-
I wonder what the hospitality at Fratton Park consists of? Does Arry nip down to the local Lidls to get in the crisps and cheap lager?
-
You are of course right PES and to be fair i guess both clubs have always had fickle fans. At the moment we have an unpopular chairmain,a team full of kids and a fixture list which is populated with loads of teams that some would say are unappealing.Add to that the credit crunch and you have a recipe for a half empty stadium. Until prices start to come down,or we get promoted, which i think is a very long way off,i dont see things changing for the better.

This is a very good post. There used to be five of us at work who were season ticket holders, now im the only one. If the club doesnt start to improve, then i fear the level of support will drop further.

Thanks for that Fowllyd. But does Lowes position also mean that he tells the Head Coach what players to buy and what players he cant use? Seems to me that Lowe has too much of a say in our club. Been here before me thinks.

Who can he be talking about...

Thank god we are finally rid of Burley. -
So how come Lowe seems to be making all the decisions?

Do you work in a pawnbrokers?

You have also written some stupid posts in my time.

Does anyone else still hate Derby?

I used to think Deby fans were a bit too big for their boots, but at my last visit to Pride Park(couple of weeks ago),we had a beer or two in the Pride Park pub and before and after they were some of the most decent fans ive met for a long time.Im not just talking about family groups, there were a lot of lads around as well. They even apologised for those chavs who came on the pitch at the play-offs. Perhaps we got them wrong? -
I wish Niemi hadnt gone off injured in the FA Cup final because we may have won it. I can only remember one mistake by him and that was the one against the Skates in THAT game no one mentions. He was a great keeper for us and i was sorry to see him go. Good luck Anti.

I have to agree with Gordon Mockles. When will we start to get the defence sorted? This is the same problem we had this time last season.

Attendance Vs Blackpool 5th lowest in the league

Actually this is a good point. I go to the supporters club before the game and i find that they have put the price of beer up by a whopping 60p a pint.So the result is that i tend to now go elsewhere,so the club loses money. People will only go if they think the price matches the product. -
When they showed a Blackpool near miss on the big screen,it was actually Kelvins arm that had stopped a certain goal. He got a round of applause for that. Although he sometimes makes silly mistakes,i still think he is the best keeper we have.
-
We will have to see whos still here whos been sold.
-
I agree with you Nick. I am in the Northam, block 42 and i didnt hear any booing. In fact most people around me were clapping the team off the pitch, with a lot of applause going towards Kelvin Davies for his outstanding performance.
-
Although we had three certain goals cleared of the line,we should have controled the game much more. If we cant win against teams like Blackpool, then we are in for a tough season.
-
The ref was the worst ive seen at SMS for a long time. Every time we went for the ball, one of their players would fall down and get a free kick. And how many times did a Blackpool player fall down, yet didnt have to go off the pitch, even though play had been held up for a few minutes?
-
It seemed to me that the team that outplayed Derby and totally run rings around Brimingham were not the same team we saw today. I dont know if we had too much confidence or we thought Blackpool would roll over. But despite the bad ref and despite all of Blackpools disallowed goals,we lost. Lets come back stronger.

Most of us would have clapped a performing seal after that disaster Wigley.

Actually Scooby you could argue it was four if you count Dodd and Gorman as individials. But unlike Lowe,Crouch didnt have the resources of the Premiership and the Sky money to fall back on. In fact Crouch was on a loser to start with after Lowe had messed it up.
