Ok i apologised about the Portaloo comment. You are right and of course i am behind the team 100%. But please tell me Saint Martini, how coming from the Dutch Div 4,Poortvliet could know anything about the players we have,or have got in? Poortvliet must have thought all of his birthdays must have come at once when he was offered a job in the English league. Who had heard of Poortvliet before this season
  2. Whe you shout "We are the Northam over here", and theres no reply.
  3. Mate will you be so blind when we drop another division?

Oh please dont tell me Portaloo is choosing the players. He hasnt been here more than five minutes and he certainly doesnt know anything about Saints,so how come we have brought players like Schneiderlin ? Face up to facts that Portaloo is Lowes yes man and will only use players that Lowe wants. Why else would Lowe choose Dutch div 4 Portaloo as manager?
  5. I have a ST in the Northam and although fans come and go,there has been a constant number of regular fans around me. But this season apart from the people i go with(a crowd of 20),not one of the fans who were there before this season have renewed. I look around from my seat and i dont recognise anyone from last seaon. I used to think that those stay away fans had got it wrong, but after todays shower of ****e,i dont blame them.
  6. We went back to the supporters club after the game and there was a form asking us who was the MOTM. Not one of us could think of anyone who even came near to being voted MOTM. The whole Saints team were very poor.

I actually feel sorry for Portaloo because he has Lowe bringing in players who our head coach doesnt know and is told to include them into our team. If those players dont work out, then Portaloo takes the blame. I think our problems stem from the boardroom. Lowe out.
  8. Well i was at the game and what i saw was a team the couldnt pass the ball, couldnt take their chances and had no idea about trying to win a game. Of course i am talking about Saints. If this is total football, then you can shove it where the sun dont shine. If we keep playing like this then expect the crowds to drop by at least another five thousand. We were pants and if we cant beat a poor Barnsley side at home, then expect relegation.
  9. Totally hit the nail on the head. Until Saints start winning games or Lowe goes(both would be great),the crowds will stay away.
  10. To be fair,if it wasnt for the social side of things like seeing friends, drinking lots of beer etc, then i doubt i would go so much.I used to look forward to getting up on a weekend knowing i was going to a game, but now it seems like to much of an effort. When before the match,we would be talking about the team and general football things while having a beer, now most of us want to stay in the pub, rather than go out and see us lose again. The only thing that spoils a footy day is the football.
  11. I was surprise last night by the number of times we tried to pass the ball through the middle and when that didnt work, the ball was hoofed out to the wings, usually at a great height to the two feet high Dyer who couldnt jump more than three inches if his life depended on it. At times i lost count at the number of times we had passes intercepted. We must learn to hold on to the ball more.
  12. While answering a point made on another thread, the subject of cuts becoming a false econcomy came up. Now i know the club hasnt got any money and there have been loads of cutbacks, but surely if we had kept a few of the players we have sold or loaned, then maybe we might not be in the dire straights we find ourselves in. I know its a balancing act between selling our assets and keeping the club solvent and like those in charge i dont have any easy answers, but what message does it send out to the fans when as soon as a player starts to score goals or gets noticed, the club sells him. With that attitude,we will never go anywhere except downwards.
  13. Of course closing the Itchen North wont get us points, but i feel its just something else that has been taken away ,thus making the matchday atmosphere less enjoyable, which has a knock on effect, Less atmosphere, Less fans turning up, Less money spent, Less support for the team, Less money into the club. Add all of the cutbacks together, then sometimes it can be a false economy.
  14. I think that closing the Itchen North was a big mistake. It has definately affected the atmosphere and makes SMS less intimidating. Also i know a few fans who were forced to move (they went to the Kingsland),and they now hate the fact they are told to sit down, not shout/swear etc. I doubt closing the Itchen North saved that much anyway.
  15. Agree with you totally. My voice is still sore form the constant singing of "OWTS". But even as loud as the Northam was when we got going,i feel that the atmosphere has taken a dive since they closed the Itchen North. Its a shame that many fans decided not to turn up,but considering all we have had to put up with,i dont blame anyone for staying away.
  16. The question should be what has he done right?
  17. You will only see Wilde when Lowe takes him out of his box and sits him on his knee.:-)
  18. It wont take long before the old phrase "Must win game",will start to be used.
  19. LOL!! The way things are going i wouldnt rule out Branfoot.
  20. Someone had better tell Lowe.
  21. Better get a new batch of puppies ready.........Lowe out!
  22. Cant see us doing much and i think there will be a low turnout. Saints to lose 2-0.
  23. Thanks for your thoughts Flyer, but i said exactly the same things about how quiet QPR fans were when we beat you 2-0 and 3-0,the last two times we played you at Loftus rd. Although i can understand why you were silent in the 3-0 game.
  24. Some could say the decisions Lowe made(and is still making),has done more damage to the club, than Crouch ever could.
  25. Agree with you there mate about Matt. I went to the Concorde club in Eastleigh two weeks ago, where Matt was an after dinner speaker and he was a very funny guy. He certainly cares for the club very much, although he didnt mention Shearer. What i wouldnt give to have a player like Matt now at Saints(though Lowe would probably sell him).
