Great! Hope im wrong with my score prediction as well.

I understand what you are saying, but im sorry i cant agree with you that theres no one else to do Lowes job. Surely hes the worst choice with his history? Again i will ask the question "What has Lowe done that an accountant wouldnt have done?"
-
Ah come on surely SCW being a proven coach in Rugby cant have any bearing on playing footy in the Championship? All i remember SCW for was taking a lot of money out of the club and being responsible for building a white dome at Staplewood. Wow! Or did his being here suddenly turn our team into a Premiership winning football club?
-
But didnt Crouch have the backing of the banks for this season? Though i agree with you that Crouch would have had to make cuts along the lines of Lowe. But this also adds weight to my point that Lowe isnt the only person who can do what hes doing now.
-
So Lowe didnt have a hand in Delgardo? He didnt bring in SCW who changed how the team trained? If you read the previous forum before this one,it was a long running thread on there on how Lowe interfered with the team and wanted his way.I probably could look it up somewhere, but cant be that bothered on a Friday night. At one point, some even thought Rupert might even line himself up for the managers job. As for posting anti Lowe bile,i would rather do that than be a luvie like you.
-
Anyone on the board who doesnt split the fanbase. It doesnt take a genius to do what Lowe is doing,in fact if someone else did it and left the head coach/manager to get on with their job, then things may be a lot better.
-
I would bet that the crowd doesnt exceed 15000.
-
Cant see why we need him now? He knows nothing about football, He interfers with the team, He devides the fanbase, Hes a walking PR disaster, He is only now doing what any accountant would be doing in the same curcumstances. So go Lowe now.
-
Surely this statement should be aimed at Lowe and Wilde?
-
We will lose 3-1 in front of our lowest crowd ever.
-
Thing is for Saints to reap any benefits of other teams becoming unstable due to dodgy finances,we have to try and keep our team together. Can anyone see Lowe saying no to any players sales in January? Not a chance.
-
Oh how i agree with this statement. For a long time now i think when they were building SMS,they made a mistake with the plumbing and ran the waste pipes from the toilets straight to the beer taps in the concourse. At least Lowe can say hes recycling.
-
Ok,let me ask you a serious question. What makes you think Hoddle would have done anything here second time around, when at Wolves he was a complete failure?
-
Agree with the first two points, but "Bad luck and appointments with managers?" Who appointed those managers? After WGS left why was Sturrock appointed?Lets face it nobody couldve guessed Lowe would pick him.Was it because he was cheaper than anyone else? Then when Wigley was made up to head coach, everyone but Lowe could see he was way out of his depth, but because he was another cheap option,Lowe persevered far too long. Lowes penny pinching and false economy is the reason we are where we are.

Did the investment rumours kill off the fans?

Definately agree with what you say ooohTerryHurlock. Does that also mean we get a say about the barmaids too? -
Probably spent it on SCWs eye dome.
-
For me it was when Lowe appointed Wigley, who from day one never had a clue how to win a game. I feel if we had appointed a manager who had known what he was doing, rather than always going for the cheap option, then maybe we may still be in the Premiership. Another false economy overseen by Lowe.

To be fair to you pfc123 Pompey have done well and it makes a change that Pompey fans can go on about your recent FA Cup win, rather than how you held it for the longest ever because of the war. But lets not forget how close you came to total oblivion just a few years back.If it wasnt for all the money you have had pumped into your club, then i doubt very much you would be where you are now. At least we achieved success without big bucks thrown our way and despite how well you are doing right now,you have a very long way to go before you match our 27 years of top flight footy.

Get the club to open up the Itchen North again and damm the cost. The atmosphere has suffered badly since it was closed. Also lets get the matchday experience a lot better. Cheaper beer, Cheaper tickets with some sort of compensation for us ST holders, Lowe to show some humidity(yeah right), And maybe some sort of consessions for fans who have been loyal.I dont just mean ST holders, but maybe those who can prove they have followed the team for the last four years. And of course get the team actually winning matches a lot more than they lose? -
Ah now it all makes sense. Lowe strips the team down to the bare bones, then brings in a Dutch bloke whos never had any experience of Championship football. Then Rupert goes to the nearest bookies and puts a wad on us to lose. He must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Any reality show on tv. Its just cheap rubbish tv.

I havent been interested in England games since we went out of the last world cup. Too many reasons, but players who cant bothered, bad managers and an FA who dont know their bottom from their elbow, are some of the main ones. Also i dont know if the sound recording was at fault, but to me the crowd at Wembley seemed very quiet, especially during the first half.

I totally agree with this assessment. When i look around in the Northam at how many people were there last season, there are not that many left. Most of the row behind me and in front of me have changed and there doesnt seem to be many regular faces anymore. I think most people are just fed up with it all. -
Everytime i see his saggy face on the telly i want to throw something at it. I dont know who to hate most,Redcrapp for not being bothered to do his job, then slapping us in the face by going back to his "spiritual home",or Lowe for not backing him enough once he gave him the job.
-
I dont think anyone could know for sure if Pearson would have done a decent enough job for us,but imo he earned the right to at least have a go at it after fulfilling his role of keeping us up last season. Its obvious to me that after getting the backing of the players and fans and those in charge at the time, the only reason he wasnt given the job was because of Lowes vindictiveness and spite against those before him. I bet letting Pearson go will come back to bite us.
