But Nick whats the point of getting your hopes up if all Lowe and Wildes going to do is sell off all our best players every season? While that keeps happening, this club will only go one way...........down. So relegation, empty stadium and selling players will happen anyway while Lowe is still here.
-
How much did Lowe ever reinvest back into the club? The PLC is all about making money for its shareholders, not putting it into SFC.
-
Anyone remember The Marsh? It was just over the Southampton side of the Itchen bridge,by Albert rd. Now that was rough. I remember one time in there when someone was hit over the head with a baseball bat and someone else had a barstool over their back. Funny though at the time i used to think it was a quiet place.

Once we have a positive bank balance, then Lowe will start to pay dividends again rather than invest in the football team.
-
Perhaps we could try that at SMS at half time? The fan who survives a mauling wins a flight to Glasgow with Flybe.

Reading V Saints Post Match thoughts and reaction
rocknrollman no2 replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
What a fantastic day. We hired a hummer limo and went from St Marys with a load of beer expecting a good day,but thinking we will lose. Lots of beer drunk on the way up and when we got to the ground,we were singing Saints songs to all of the Reading fans(werent they quiet),as we went to the away end. There was a fantastic turn out from Saints fans who were all in good voice and gave great support. When the team came out,it looked like they were a totally different team of late and they chased every ball and stopped Reading from playing. Thought the ref was ****e as usual, but refs always are. We were on the back foot for a while in the second half as Reading pressed, but despite the ref giving 4minutes extra time,we held out. Going to St Marys from home-£6 Limo to Reading-£500 Beer for the day-£30 Tickets-£66 Seeing the Reading fans after the game looking glum-PRICELESS. -
Bloke is a legend. If anyones interested hes at the Concorde Club in Eastleigh next February. Should be a great night.
-
How about keep Stern and sell Mc Goldrick? Then perhaps we can start scoring goals again.
-
Just a quick question. Can anyone tell me if they serve beer to away fans at Reading? If not we will have to make our own arrangements. Thanks.
-
Yes i would be very happy if we were to start winning games, because as a Saints fan this is my number one priority. My number two priority is to see Lowe and Wilde go from this club.
-
Wasnt something posted on here a while ago giving how many wins all the teams in all four leagues have had over the last ten years(excuse me if i have the exact facts wrong, but you get my drift)? If i remember rightly Saints have had the fewest wins out of all of the teams in all four divisions. I think that says it all.
-
Good for you saintwarwick i wish i was like you.But since the FA Cup,i feel i have turned towards the dark side. Thing is i used to think it was just me getting older, because away from football im known as always being happy;but its also happened to everyone i go to football with as well.I cant remember the last time any of us went to a match, thinking Saints were going to win easily? In fact a few of them have even started to miss the odd match or two. That wouldve been unthinkable a few seasons ago. So when we get to the point of relegation,i doubt if anyone i go to football with,or myself will really be that bothered anymore.
-
Mate i would pick Stephen Hawkins ahead of Lancashire. Its not his fault, hes just not ready for this league yet.
-
Didnt he come out with a statement when we were relegated, along the lines of we will be playing 24 games instead of 20? Although you may be right because i cant remember if the price went up or stayed the same? Anyway what ever happens to us,i cant see the price of a ST staying the same next season.
-
You can bet that when the new STs come out,if we are relegated then Rupert will still put the price up using the usual Lowe machine of spin, something along the lines of- "The new and exciting new teams",we will be facing. Wonder if we will still be playing "Total football?
-
I dont care if we are the underdogs,or firm favourites for the Champoins League,as long as we start winning games.
-
Why would anyone whos anti Lowe want to start this rumour? Lets face it Rupert does a good enough job of dashing our hopes and creating negativity, without anyones elses help. Is it any wonder that when theres a rumour about one of our better players being sold ,its suddenly believed? Not like Ruperts ever sold our best players before??? As for any sign of a balloon of hope, well Lowe burst that long ago.

Groundsharing - it's time has come...
rocknrollman no2 replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
I doubt that Pompey would want to share our ground anyway. Can you imagine to hassle and policing costs when it was the turn of Pompey to play their games? -
Actually i think we will lose 4-0,but their manager will say after the game that we have played the best football hes seen in a while. But im still going anyway(we will be in the white limo) and im going to sing as loud as i can for as long as i can.
-
Why is there no alternative? Because the spin machine Lowe uses says so? Why not someone else from the board? Why not bring back Crouch? Why not some nobody accountant? At least they wouldnt keep interfering with the team and bring in a couple of Dutch nobodies and devide the fanbase.

A team to charm neutrals and madden the faithful
rocknrollman no2 replied to TopGun's topic in The Saints
Its probably more fun watching the second option(apparently).:-) -
Most ex season ticket holders i have spoken to (quite a lot, some been st holders for 20 years until this season),put their absence at games down to two things. A-The team not winning. B-Rupert Lowe. But its a kind of double wammy really, because its Lowes actions in the first place that have caused us to lose so many games anyway. So it doesnt matter how you word it,Lowe simply has to go before the crowds start to return.
