Ha.I was at that game and remember it well. I remember seeing a bloke who was selling badges,have his stand pushed over by Wolves fans and they were attacking any Saints fans they could find. Several bricks hit our coach on the way out and i actually thought we were lucky to get out in one piece. At least we dont have to worry about going back there for a while.

Good original post. I totally agree that what ever happens on or off the pitch,its the football club we must all support. Its just very hard to be positive at the moment.Hopefully that will change in League One if we have a good start to next season.

For League one football i dont expect to pay more than £250 to watch Saints.

Whether or not McMenemy knew how bad things were at Saints,doesnt really matter.He hasnt had any say with what goes on at SFC for a very long time. The fact is that Lowe made all the decisions and he must have known how bad things were,but in his wisdom decided to say nothing. I bet Lowe thought he knew better.

Dont worry. If we are relegated,then League one will be a doddle to get out of,just like we said when we went down to the Championship.........oh dear.

Shame Rupert didnt try to reduce our debt when we were first relegated. Sure he cut the players wages and offloaded most of our better players,but wasting money on SCW,the eye dome and Simon Clifford when it shouldve been better spent on trying to get us promoted was criminal. Still he did save money getting rid of Pearson and bringing in the Dutch duo.Oh wait a minute it looks like we might get relegated yet again because of Lowe and his meddling. What a great visionary and good businessman Lowe is.....ha ha ha.

Cant disagree with anything you have said Alain Perrin.I also think you make a good point saying that as fans,regardless of who we have supported in the past,we need to move on. Lets hope we can become united now.

Im with SoccerMom on this debate. I go to football with a crowd of between 20-30 people and at least half of them are women. Also they usually outsing us and are the first in line when it comes to calling the ref a W----r.

To be fair,the standard of football us fans have had to put up with this season(total football,more like total ****e.Thanks to Rupert).Its a wonder that anyone was there for the start of the second half.

Well ive been to many a game when its been sunny and the price has been slashed and apart from the last game of last season(when Lowe wasnt here anyway),there hasnt been such a feelgood factor or such a good turnout.Shame the team(Davis apart),didnt live up to the expectation. Lowes departure definately added a few thousand to the gate. I very much doubt there wouldve been so many at todays game if Lowe was still here,despite the cheap tickets.

Please dont tarr those of us who have chanted against Lowe and the board with the same brush as those who caused trouble today.

Surely even you must realise that fans stayed away ,not because they wanted Saints to do badly,but because they hated Lowe and the way he ruined this club. It speaks volumes that thousands came back the day after Lowe left.

There were a few hundred Saints fans stood outside where the Charlton fans were coming out. Most Saints fans were stood watching the police with dogs and batons drawn,trying to impose some type of order between the opposing groups. Most Saints and Charlton fans mixed ok .I personally had a few conversations with Charlton fans about the game afterwards and they seemed a decent set of fans.Lets face it they are in the same boat as us.But there seemed to be a few on both sides who seemed to want trouble. I decided to leave after that.

The fans were up for it, The media were ready for it, The whole city expected it. So why werent the team prepared for it?

Aparantly they are going to have street parties in Pompey at the weekend. No ......not because of our fate, its because someone down there is marrying a girl who is not their sister or mother!

As for your first question,i would rather stand with someone who has returned now Lowe has gone,than a Lowe luvie. Now ask yourself this Nineteen/Sundance. Who has cost this club the most money? Fans who went to away games supporting our team,or Lowelife who helped relegate us,then mismanaged us to the point of administration?
