Ive always found the hatred tends to be so much worse coming from Pompey,rather than from us.I think thats just down to envy because for so many years we were higher than them. But i have a feeling that very soon,we will take our rightful place above the blue few and then the natural balance will be restored in the universe.

OMG i cant get the tune of "Sing Something Simple" out of my head now.Totally agree with you dubai phil,that it was so depressing. My personal hate was that show Jimmy Salville did on a Sunday afternoon,where you had to guess the year he was playing records from and he would give you imaginary points for guessing the artist and year right. That was one annoying show.

Blimey.If thats all the time we get for being a featured match,then imagine how many mili-seconds we would get if there were no goals.

Does anyone remember the Marsh pub in town?It was in Albert rd,but is now flats(like everything else).It was a teddyboys pub and used to get a decent following on a friday and saturday night.The best years for me were between 1978-86.Happy days. The Albert Hotel just along from the Marsh was also ok,except for the little Hitler of a landlord who seemed to take a dislike to anyone who wanted to buy a pint from his pub. Makes me sad thinking about all of these pubs that are no longer here,because what is there now except Weatherspoons?

Bit of a sweeping statement there dune.Did you ever live through the Thatcher years?Poll tax,riots and a lot of social unrest during her time in office,so i guess a lot of people disagree with you. Most people at the time thought she was going to be voted out early on,but then the Falklands happened and she was voted back in on a wave of patriotism. But in the end she became so bad and unpopular,that even her own party turned on her,because like the rest of the country(and Europe),they had had enough. As for "layabout teachers and post workers",well i hope you havent got any kids that need teaching or letters that need delivering.

When those astronauts brought back samples of moon rock,they actually did find evidence of water in the rocks,but stupidly dismissed the findings because they assumed the samples had been contaminated.

Hope the Tories dont win.I remember Thatcher,the poll tax,sellin g off all our industries,killing the coal industry etc. Doubt despite all the spin,they have changed that much,the rich get richer and everyone else just get the crumbs. But i think Labour are now just as bad.Brown has totally lost it and will face a rebellion in the near future. That leaves the Lib Dems,but i dont think they know what they would do except tax us to death. So who do i vote for?? So

So you think the death penalty is a deterrent? The fact that there are so many people on death row in America would prove otherwise.

If we still had the death penalty,then the man who was locked up for 27 years for the murder of a Southampton woman,wouldve been killed although he was totally innocent. Lets ask him if he believes in the death penalty. How can the state say its wrong to kill,yet then say you are going to have to die for doing it?

I suppose if we win this Saturday,then Pardew is doing things right,but if we lose then hes getting it very wrong. Then again perhaps he hasnt had enough time to get the team gelling? Are we still having our missed pre-season? Its all very confusing!

Ha brilliant! Im so glad im not the only one,though since the blur few have been going downhill,there doesnt seem to be so many plastic fans about anymore.

Ive learnt that being a Saints fan means you shouldnt take anything or any team for granted.

Its good that the club are trying something new,but i cant see many fans staying behind because the beer sold in the concourse is so awful. Just better to go to a local pub and get cheaper,proper beer. If the quality of the beer improved and as someone said in an earlier post,highlights of ant Saints goals were shown,then maybe it could work.
