  1. Peter Crouch was one player i have come to dislike. Before he came to us,he had been at loads of other clubs, all without much success. Then he comes to us,gets his career back on track and then leaves as soon as we get relegated. It also doesnt help that he went back to the Skates and has a love-in with Rednapp. I also dislike Kevin Phillips,Baird,BWPs and Mc goldrick.
  2. Still think we will miss the play-offs by a whisker, but well done to the team for getting another great unexpected result tonight. This season is turning out to be very exciting.
  3. I cant understand why any Saints fan would want to miss our game on Monday, whatever it means,play-offs or not. But i was also surprised why we couldnt get more than 19000 for our last home game, yet could suddenly get nearly 50,000 when we played at Wembley?
  4. We play 4-5-1 at the start and we struggle through most of the game.We then get a lucky goal great. We change to 4-4-2 and bring on Barnard and we score from open play and we look like we are the better team. Why doesnt Pardew know our strongest formation and best players? If we had started the game with the same formation and players,we may have won it. With just Lambert up front,we wont win anything.
  5. If you go to the Alfred before any home game, you will see him there usually singing any Skate songs.
  6. Green man was great.Even when the beer queues started to grow, there was another bar which was just serving cans, which made it soooooo quick to get a drink. All in all the Green Man was very organised. Thanks for the tip Stu.
  7. From the minute we arrived at SMS and saw all the coaches lined up,and then got on our minibus and set off towards London, only to see every car that passed us decked out with Saints flags and scarfs,i knew it was going to be a great day. The Green Man hotel was great,as was a pre match drink or three. Wembley was awlsome, except for the queue for the toilets. Fantastic result and i felt so proud when Saints lifted the trophy. The only negative was the moany old git who complained all through the game about us standing up,even though we only did when we were about to score. Today will live with me for a very long time.
  8. I suppose having a tattoo is up to personal taste, though i may add i have a tattoo on my neck and that didnt stop me from getting a high paid job within a certain sector. Its the same with what you want to wear at football. If you want to facepaint, dress up as a red spiderman or just run around in a pair of Saints underpants, then surely its up to you? May i add i dont do any of these things.
  9. For those who are interested, the Hythe ferry is running a special service on Sunday starting at 6.40 am and every half hour after that. As far as i know, the stupid buses over here dont seem to be running until 9 am though,so dont rely on them. Hope this helps.
  10. Actually the Echo piece refers to our tickets and the group of mates who i am going up to Wembley with in our minibus. As i said last week on another post, our sixteen tickets were accidently posted to another address and we had to wait for the person who received them to bring them back to St Marys. Bit of a non story really, because as promised they were returned with no problem at all. The Echo phoned one of my mates and tried to get details, but he didnt want to name names or disscuss the matter. Thats it in a nutshell really.
  11. Yippppeeeee!! Our sixteen tickets were sent to the wrong address and the bloke took them back to the ticket office today. A big thankyou to the man who recieved them and was honest enough to bring them back. Wembley here we come!
  12. Well i know the blokes who shout "Pork" and wear silly hats and they are a great bunch of lads who Go to most away games as well as all home. I cant believe the attitude towards them by some on here. They dont cause trouble or shout abuse at away fans from behind the safety of the stewards, yet they get slagged off by a lot of internet hard men. Get over yourselfs ffs.I would much rather have a laugh with the likes of them, then have to put up with a load of spotty kids singing "Pompey fan on a string" anyday!
  13. Our group of sixteen tickets have been sent out to someone else by mistake,we were told by the ticket office yesterday. Apparantly the club have informed them and promises were made to return them, but god im worried now! If they are not here by Monday, then im going to camp outside the ticket office.
  14. Ha HA. Im afraid its my eldest sons wedding and seeing im paying for most of it,i apparantly have to be there.
  15. I am so mad about the Leeds game.It was one of those games i had been looking forward to since the start of the season, but now i have a wedding to go to instead and despite me thinking of lots of excuses,i cant get out of it. Boooooooo!
  16. Pretty much sums up how i feel.
  17. God i hope not. Please someone tell me this is not true.
  18. What a great win today. Even when we went 1-0 down,i just knew we would come back and win it.Thats one of the best performances ive seen from a Saints team.We completely played Walsall of the pitch, though i doubt we will get more than three seconds on the football league show. Well done AP and Saints today.More of the same on Tuesday please.
  19. Yes mate the vouchers still get you cheaper bus travel. But when ever you seem to catch the bus,it takes hours just to go a few miles and every old moany person seems to want to get on at every stop and take forever to show their buspass, then take at least ten minutes to find a seat. A taxi may cost more, but you get so much more drinking time.
  20. I used to always buy them for my son.But then Lowe started all his hallybaloo,so i stopped buying one as a sort of protest. Then my son went up north to uni,so i lost the habit of getting one. Will get one when we go to Wembley though.
  21. Although promotion this season would be the icing on the cake, the fact we are going to Wembley, appear to be heading for a midtable finish at worse, have a decent manager and a good core of a team, have a billionaire who seems to really care about the club and a club which is totally debt free,is more than enough for me. Blimey this time a year ago,i was worried our club was going out of business for ever. So for now thanks very much. Lets worry about next season when it happens.
  22. Theres going to be a lot of pressure on the team to quickly get results next season and if we have a few early blips, then i hope the team can deal with it. I also think it will take a special effort from us fans to keep backing the manager and team if things dont go our way and not get on their backs at the first sign of a defeat. Are we up to it?
  23. Very disappointing. Why cant we seem to win when we play on a rough pitch?
