Although a long time ago a lot of my family were miners in South Wales,ive never been one saintwarwick.I actually work in the steel industry.Without going over the same points again,i just think its sad that Thatcher didnt look at the bigger picture when she shut all the mines and sold off all of our industries.Now we are totally dependant on Russia for our gas and South Africa for our coal.Also we are all continually being ripped off with high prices from those privitised companies.

Sorry but i hate it and certainly wont be buying it.For me Saints should be red and white stripes.If people like it,then fair enough,but i will wait until we get a decent shirt again.

Where was the Saints Trust when it looked like the club was going out of exsistance?Not a single word was said by the trust. Although i agree with questions being asked about why the installment plan was suddenly stopped,i dont think it should be asked by the Trust. Also i think Stu makes a very valid point about a few posters on here.I for one would love to see a full St Marys everyweek and if it takes a percentage of the fans to pay via the installment plan to achieve this,then so be it.

In fact the Nottinghamshire miners actually went against the strike when Thatcher promised them they would be looked upon favourably,she even said herself without them she would have lost against Scargill.But guess what? After she broke the strike,she closed all of their pits as well.

As been said before,this scum will have to serve 40years before hes even allowed to go before a parole board.Then he has to prove hes no longer a threat to anyone.Its all just legal talk to make sure the law is seen to be done. I will bet a weeks wages he never comes out.

Remind me who invented the NHS?

The policy of Thatcherism means they believe by making those with loads of money much more richer,the wealth will trickle down to those at the bottom. Although under Thatcher the rich just got much more richer.

We also have to import all of our coal,despite having our own pits shut down and instead of British Rail,we now have different companies all fleecing joe public with ever higher prices that go to shareholders instead of the government coffers. Brixton riots,Poll tax riots and interest rates four times what they are now. All down to Thatcher.

Actually Delldays you make a valid point.Most people i meet who slag off Thatcher and her policies always deny voting for her,but in 1983 she won by a landslide,so the law of averages say some must have.

If my memory serves me correct,she won the first one because Labour had been in power previously and she seemed to offer something new(after the three day week and oil crisis,when we were forced to borrow from the imf. Second one was after the Falklands,when the country voted for her(although most political analysts have since said she would have lost if it wasnt for the war. Third time was against Michael Foot who couldnt win a raffle.

Oh and i forget the Poll Tax!!

Yes mate i lived all through those dark,bleak years and i even remember her stopping free school milk in the early seventies. Tell me Dune,apart from Thatcher selling off all our public assets,destroying our mining industry,putting tens of thousands on the dole,openly welcoming Pinochet,the dictator from Chilie who murdered thousands of his own people into this country and trying to run the NHS into the ground,why do you think she was a good PM?

Well i may be wrong,but most of the people i know work in the public sector and all of them are paid a lot less than their equivalent private sector counterparts.

You mean the same public sector workers who are usually paid a lot less than those in the private sector?Yes to make up for the low pay,this was offset with the promise of a better pension and now this dozy government are trying to stop that as well. The Tories must be laughing themselfs silly,because they get to do all the cuts they wanted and then hide behind the Lib Dems and the excuse "Its not us,its the previous government". It wont be long before they start on someone else(though never the greedy bankers who caused all this is it)?

I dont think the price is why everyone is up in arms.Most of us expected a price rise and we will see another one if we are promoted no doubt.. Its the way us loyal fans have been treated that winds me up. Fans charter?Your having a laff!!!
