No one should be stopped from being able to buy a ST,unless the police or courts say so. If NIs ticket has been cancelled just because he has an opinion,then the club are deffinately in the wrong. The reason rents are high is because the demand for rented property is high and a lot of people cant afford to buy into the housing market.

Personally i think this game will be a low turnout around 12-14000. Its a nothing game and a tad pricey just to see us play Reading.

A very good point. I think the way football fans are treated by the police is way over the top.The number of times ive seen the police act too heavy handed or actually be the cause of trouble at a match beggers belief. Can you imagine fans at rugby,tennis or cricket being treated the same? As for how the police deal with peaceful protests,what happened at the G20 protest was very wrong and i think the police need to take a long ,hard look at themselfs.

Ha.I did the same thing for the chip shop in Netley in the late seventies.

Iwas caught short once while in India. I was on a beach and had just ordered some fresh fish from this little bar/cafe place,then i had a very strong urge to use the toilet,so asked the owner of the bar if i could use his(all bars had their own private loos).He led me to a shack made from cardboard and palm leafs.Inside on a small heap of sand was a single toilet , no seat and without any pumbling.I sat on this fly ridden thing doing what i had to while the owner stood by the palm leaf door,holding it open for everyone to see.There was a single loo roll about five feet away,so when i tired to reach it,the loo fell over. After i had finished,i passed the area where they were preraing my food(about two feet away) and that was also covered in flies. Needless to say i didnt eat there after that.

Im glad we have the people who are in charge now,rather than the dark days of LoweIts a little weird but at the same time,comforting that we dont have to worry about the future of our club anymore and we can bring in good players without the need to sell half the squad. But saying that Cortese has to stop ignoring the fans and stop this worrying trend of not caring about our history,ie changing the names of the suites and having a pop at MLT. If he could employ a better pr stance,then i think things would be so much better.

Sad news Dr Who. This country has gone mad with this obsession with snooping,cameras,cctv etc. If as you say no names or the name of the school was mentuoned,then i think the most they could do is a warning. Hopefully this wont affect her carreer. Hope it turns out well for you both.

You have a point,but i bet if the person living on a council estate is working and on PAYE,then he would probably end up paying more tax as a percentage of his wages than the millionaire.

Sorry but the poll tax was never fair.Thats why there were protests. The polltax didnt take into account your ability to pay.How could it be fair that a millionaire in a big mansion pays the same as a single person on a council estate?

Council tax is paid per property,ie how many bedrooms etc. The poll tax was paid per person,no matter where you lived.So they are different things.

I got really smashed in a pub once and then got invited to a party by a few women i knew.Being without any drink to take to the party,i got the barman to sell me a load of dusty cans of beer. Once there,it turned out to be the type of party where all the family were there,grannies,aunties etc,i thought it was a bit boring so i started drinking the beer,but because they were dusty,unknown to me i had given myself a black nose and cheeks because of the dust. I had sat down crosslegged and hadnt noticed the feeling had gone in my legs,so when i tried to get up,i fell over smashing some vase and table. After that i was asked to leave. Not one of my best days.

I thought we borrowed money from the IMF (International monetary fund)?Nothing to do with China or other Communist countries. I agree with you Dune about having to sort ourselves out,but i still think its very unfair that because a few American and uk bankers messed up the economy (then took big payoffs),us ordinary hard working people have to pay the price.

My wife and i were given a tour of St Marys today as part of a present and although i had been around the stadium before,i was surprised by how many things are changing. The home team changing rooms have been totally up graded with leather seats and above each shirt,there is a personal safe(BWPs beware). They are taking out all of the seats that spell Flybe and seem to be putting some white seats around the stadium making a striped effect. Was told that the beers not changing for another year because of a contract issue,but the food will be different. There were also a lot of painters around spurcing the place up. Not a lot to report,but at least its not a moan!

Didnt we use to have a system in place that encouraged people not to use their cars? But the previous management in their wisdom decided to stop the free bus passes. Still thats in the past now.

Wasnt the same thing said the first season we came down from the Prem? Like everyone else i want us to go up,but knowing how Saints do things we will probably finish second or even third.
