This didnt affect me yesterday as i had a lift to the ground, but a lot of my friends had problems getting to the stadium. I think it was bad of the bus companies to not even run a sunday type service because of the footy.Surely somethiing could have been organised? Also one of my friends would like to say thankyou to the kind Saints fan who stopped and offered him a lift from the Townhill park area.Without this kind act,he would have missed half the game.Good to see Saints fans looking after their own.

2011 will be a difficult year - but the UK will become a success story

Doubt 2011 will be something to look forward to,but happy new year Dune anyway. -
Ive never rated NYE. The pubs charge you to go in,then they are full of people who never go out any other time of the year and cant handle their drink and unless you have won the lotttery, dont bother trying to get a taxi either. I always stay home, but the tv is always showing Jools Holland or fireworks in London. Ah well a dvd it is then.

Actually Dune crime tends to be worse in the country, than cities statisticaly. Also i grew up in an area just outside Southampton, which was all fields and had a few farms dotted around.I can even remember cows being driven on the main roads(yes i feel old). This area is now built up a bit more and is now incorporated into the city. As i did then,i still think hunting foxes, stags, badgers is cruel and should never be brought back.

Lets wound you a bit with a gun, then lets see a pack of hounds rip you to pieces slowly, then tell me which one is the more painful? I just dont get this mentality country folk have.Fox hunting(as we know it), was originally introduced by the so called upper classes as something for them to do.Normal country people never dressed up in those stupid outfits and shouted "Tally ho",every two minutes. The arguement that those in the country use is that its always been done to control foxes, foxes have been introduced where there were none,so therefore that arguement is rubbish. Also if its only weak and old foxes that die,how come huntsmen dig out the foxes in their dens?Hardly a sport? Its just plain murder of animals, nothing more.
-
If we havent got to listen to that annoying bloke on the mike, can we also have the music stopped before the start of the game?It drowns out the singing and kills the atmosphere.
-
When hunting was rightly banned,we had all the huntsmen moaning that jobs would be lost and their way of life finished. Yet here we are and no jobs have gone and they can ride around doing drag hunting in their silly outfits for as long as they like. Still i bet they disregard the poor dogs when they are too old, like they normally do.

Totally agree with this.

Hunting is just so wrong and the people who do it are inbread ****s. End of.

Charlton Weather Watch/Build Up - game called off! (Dejavu?)
rocknrollman no2 replied to Nexstar's topic in The Saints
Sky just said the game is deffinately off. -
Apart from his indiscretion i think he is a good role model for kids and conducts himself well as an ambassador for football. He tried to help the England team at the last world cup with advice and training(though that was a waste of time),also he has set up academies for youngsters across the world. Why not give him an award?People have had one for doing far less.

With the team as they are,i think we will just be outside the play offs with another season stuck in this league. It will all depend on how we strenghen (or if) in Jan.

Nigel Farage's Christmas Message To The EU Bureucrats
rocknrollman no2 replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
Maybe it was cheaper to import our coal then (though now we are held to ransom),but add to that bill all of those miners, back up staff, engineers, management who were put on the dole and all of those businesses who relied on the mining industry, then i will bet it has cost us far more. The fault of Thatcher was she only did things that made her friends richer and didnt think how her actions would effect the country years later. -

Nigel Farage's Christmas Message To The EU Bureucrats
rocknrollman no2 replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
Labour did indeed close a lot of the older mines that were coming to the end of their life, which still caused the loss of jobs, but the difference with Thatcher is she wanted to shut down the whole British coal industry. After she totally decimated the coal industry(leaving us to import coal from Russia and South Africa),she went on to sell off our nationalised industries. No wonder so many people hate her. -

Strange thing is,isnt the pilot who flew the plane in which Farage was a passenger and then crashed, now accused of trying to murder him? This would suggest if true, that hes not so popular as the right wing media would have us believe. -

Blimey Dune ive just had this image of you dressed in a long blue coat, handbag and blonde wig watching videos of your leader on tv,while waving a union jack. Do you look like that bloke who used to mimic her in the early 80s? -
I bet you will find that all of these mega rich billionaires who do not pay taxes to this country will offer donations to the Tory party,so dont expect the law to change soon.

I liked the time on tv when some old woman totally showed up Thatcher for what she was when the Belgrano was sunk.Thatcher squirmed and was made to feel very uncomfortable,as the old woman diidnt allow her to get a word in. Classic tv. Have you got that clip Dune? -
