  1. I think this subject is being discussed on the "Just back from the game" thread.
  2. Who would have thought at the start of the season that Bournemouth would be second and Brighton would spend most of the year at the top?If these teams can be moulded into sides that can have a winning mentality, without spending hardly any money( and in fact Bournemouth have sold some of their better players, yet still seem to grind out wins),why cant Saints? Could it be something to do with the way managers inspire players? I actually think we dont need any more players because we do have some good footballers here. But it seems they just need someone to form them into a team, rather than a bunch of individuals.
  3. The time for excuses has long gone and im sick of hearing them.I dont care if we were unlucky, the pitch was bad,we have too many games,Adkins got the formation wrong,Sammy the Saint mascot has a tummy ache. We need results now and at the the next game and the next etc. Anything less and we will stay in this league for a long time.
  4. Great post and exactly how i feel.
  5. Mad at Saints and to rub salt into the wounds,i had to listen to the Skates win on radio( poor excuse for a station) solent!!!!!
  6. A good article and just goes to show that you shouldnt judge people because of their colour or faith.I am glad we live in a multi cultural country and these musilms are a credit to Britain.
  7. Yet other teams around that area didnt postpone their games? A lot of people(me included), spent a lot of time and money making arrangements to go to this game, only to have it called off 5 hours before the start. This is not good enough. Perhaps Rochdale shouldnt be allowed to play rugby on the same pitch?
  8. As everyone has said above.I hate this ****e league.I spent a few days in Chester and was just setting off this morning for a good beer up with a few Rochdale supporting mates, just as i saw on SSN about the game being postponed. So my whole day/evening ruined. And i bet the rearranged game is a mid week one, when i cant go.
  9. Excellent post. Lets not forget we supplied arms to Iraq when they fought an eight year war with Iran.Saddam was always seen as a friend to the west and America spent a lot of time and money supporting him throughout the 1980s. I wonder if America and Britain would have invaded Iraq if the twin towers had not been destroyed ?
  10. benjii where i am in the Northam, nobody sits quietly,or sits at all.lol.
  11. TBF i used to like it when the Itchen North was open, because then you had a wall of sound on both sides of the away fans.It was a mistake when they closed it and i think the atmosphere suffered because of it.
  12. Blimey how many threads are we going to have on here that slag off the Northam? As others have said before me,all of you on here saying how bad the Northam is,why not start some songs, make some noise or do anything to show support for your team on matchdays, rather than sit there quietly and do nothing. I shall now wait with baited breath to hear the Northam be outsung by other parts of the ground at our next home match.
  13. Whos more likely to join a religious cult, then try to brainwash vunerable people into parting with their money? (note the clue in the question). Im not saying religion is a bad thing,as it can help people ,but there seems to be more nutters who have found religion, than those who dont believe.
  14. Werent all of those peadophile priests god fearing? Wasnt the vatican and the pope god fearing when they collabrated with the Nazis?
  15. The crusades were done in the name of god. The colonisation of Africa and China were done in the name of god. Millions of people have been persecuted in the name of god. Think i will give God a miss thanks.
  16. Thanks redfred.Thats been bugging me for ages.
  17. Talking of toy shops, there used to be a good one in Woolston opposite the social club in Victoria rd.But i cant remember the name of it.
  18. So gay people cant be Christains and celebrate their partnership in their place of worship? Religion is so full of contradictions and bullsh1te,so how can they tell people how to live their lives? The Church of England was started because Henry V111 wanted to keep marrying and didnt agree with the Catholic church, the same Caltholic church that has recently apologised, because for years a lot of Catholic priests were peadophiles. Yet people on here are up in arms because two people want to get married?? Lets get some perspective.
  19. Yes there are some morons in the Northam, but there are also people who would rather moan about the team, than support them all throughout the ground.Im sure some of you do show support,Itchen North being an example, but theres just not enough fans anywhere else in the ground that make enough noise. To all of you on here having a go at the Northam stand,if it wasnt for the noise generated by the Northam,St Marys would sound like a library.
  20. I think we will finish 3rd,but then go on to win the play-offs. Still not good enough with the money we have spent.Second should be the very least expected.
  21. Yes we do but to a point. Anyone can protest peacefully for what they believe in,but when they start to preach hatred and intolerance, then they should rightly be banned from doing so.
  22. Well thought out post and i agree with you.
  23. Beautiful car(and lady),but were a rust nightmare. I owned one a few years ago,it was a 1962 consul classic 315 and had a floor change gearbox, rather than the early column change one.It was under powered by a 1500cc engine and when i was driving over the Itchen Bridge, the gearstick broke ,leaving the car stuck in third gear.Soon got rid of that. The best car i ever had was a Ford Consul 375 mk2 1960.That had the bench seats ,column change and lots of chrome.I keep looking on E Bay at the few that are still for sale, but although i would love to own an old car again, getting the parts has become a nightmare.
