  1. Playing as a striker involves shooting.
  2. Christ let's worry when we KNOW we have to. chill pills please... We have a club, which is now debt free with a manager who has extensive experience not only in promotion from this league but also the CCC into the Prem. We have an owner....ONE OWNER....'who is considerably richer than youuuussss' The club is now WANTING to get families back and build the fanbase - not destroy it. We have lots of players who want to be here, christ someone's even got Lallana on board bigtime.. WHAT ARE WE WORRYING ABOUT? Three weeks or so ago we had fooook all chance of keeping Stern - now we do.
  3. Exactly - and look how we were slaughtered on here for slating Burley when he said that. The man set up for mediocrity...and found it. T@sser of the highest quality. With the resources at his disposal automatic promotion should have been the aim..telling the players that we were 'aiming for the playoffs' was downright stupid. ARGGGGHHHHHHH
  4. Promotion to No7??? No7 at this club needs to be EARNED. Too many since MLT have been 'given' it...only to tarnish it. Lallana with his Billy Big Balls attitude does not deserve that shirt....you think you're good enough for the Prem sunshine? Got to show you're good enough for the CCC yet....
  5. Again, could just be a clever ploy....not giving other clubs the idea that we are willing to splash the cash....fine business sense...! Plus why does paying a fee mean you're going to get a dedicated committed player? It doesn't. Remember - we're the ones that Swansea want to pay £700k for Saga FFS!!!!
  6. Askham should not be allowed back in SMS in any capacity. In my eyes he was always the brains behind Lowe and his crazy methods..
  7. I reckon the whole budget issue is just clever wordplay to be honest. TBH if you were Pards, would you want to let your competitors and the owners of the players that you may be after of how much you have to spend? Of course not. It's just running a football club professionally - see how alien it's become to us over the last 10 years????
  8. On Solent they confirmed that Stern's been offered a new contract. No news there on Saga or Rasiak though. If what Nick says is correct, well that just reaffirms my belief. We are NOW BEING RUN BY THE RIGHT PEOPLE...WAHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! They really can see what we see. In SJ we've got someone who bangs in the goals, holds the ball up and has the necessary physical presence. Leroy Lita alongside him (or perhaps James Hayter?) -mark my words.... We're gonna walk this league.... (This season or next ;-) )
  9. When Saga signed I thought we had our new Pahars... Now he's just wanted the glory and not to 'score the goal' as he used to put it... Well Saga, there's plenty of glory in firing us back to the CCC - but if you're not up to it..time for another club I suppose. Such a shame, I thought more of you.
  10. Milford...the old Hordle House School development I think...his wife got done for speeding recently..Leon used to have a place there too.
  11. Wotte thought that as well....
  12. Much as I appreciate the info from Pilchards...am I the only one thinking that if Pilchards actually does work at Staplewood..that he won't for much longer?? This new era has so far been based on secrecy behind the scenes...can't think that Pardew or the powers that be will be happy with this... I know...'spoilsport'.....but I'm thinking more about Pilchards' employment status than anything - wouldn't want anyone losing their job over posting info on here..
  13. Not disagreeing with what you've said above, but to be honest, even as good as he CAN be, that doesn't excuse him of being accountable for his performance.. Too many balls bounced off him on Saturday, and too often instead of moving his feet quickly enough, he just stuck a leg out...which only makes him look even lazier, even when standing still!! I can't see any clubs coming in for him anyway, the best we can hope for is to offload Saga - he looks at least half a stone overweight and uninterested...Rasiak looked just as disinterested at Bournemouth. My hope is that Pardew gets under Rasiak's skin - let's face it, wherever he's been he has scored goals, but he's more of an enigma - he could be SO much better if he put more effort in. Still, I guess if not, he can still afford to shop at Waitrose in Lymington...
  14. Perhaps AP fancies the countryside.... Some lovely villages around, within 10-15 mins of Staplewood and 25mins of SMS... Boldre and Pilley are very nice Alan....Peachie used to live there, as did Jim McCalliog at one time..if he heads to the East End Arms he could even bump into a 'Dire Strait' or two...
  15. Has shown class in the past. We need someone who will put their foot on the ball and then organise things. Matty Holland could be our new Jimmy Case. I said as much on the HCDAJFU thread... ;-)
  16. Bloody hell..what game were you watching? He had a good 20mins, then it was back to the same old Rasiak...not on his toes to respond quickly to balls arriving at him, just nonchalontly sticking a leg out instead. TBF to him it was down to general team fitness around him that probably led to him being taken off - after the first 20 or so minutes, no-one was bursting through from midfield to support him. Saga was a waste of space...clear the forward decks please Pards!!!!
  17. I'll probably get slated on here, but I wonder how bad the 'socialising' by the younger players was before they were being hailed by Lord Lowe as 'the next big thing' - I've always felt that this was one of the downsides to his masterplan...'bigging' them up in the media was always going to have pros and cons.. I remember the away QPR game when Sky obviously had fallen for his youth rhetoric (remember him on the touchline with Poortvliet before the game - got yourself on live TV Rupey, well done)..by full-time the whole country had seen what a crock of sh1te they'd believed...we were at best, average. Waffling I know, but I really feel that's why a lot of younger players lost their way - THEY BELIEVED THE HYPE. In many ways, Lallana's current attitude stems from things like this - not to mention hearing stories on U21 team camps about money etc. Also, quite why anyone on here thinks it's ok for a paid professional to hit the pints two days before a game is a mystery to me. If I was being paid £3k + per week to play for Saints then I wouldn't be p1ssing it up against a wall - but then there is the problem. We, as fans appreciate what it would feel like to play for Saints - some of these (Surman excluded) wouldn't know a longing like that if it kicked them in the goolies...
  18. Amen to that. Watch out for the Lallana Protection Squad, they'll be along in a minute. They don't realise they are making his problems worse by claiming he's 'LeGod Pt2'...he ain't even 'Flash Pt2' yet..
  19. Fantastic...welled up watching that - proves we have class that the Skates can ONLY DREAM OF.
  20. Was at the Steve Mills Charity Match at The Dell - what a fantastic yet sad evening that was - showed how well Steve was thought of. Still have the video of the game. Mick Mills was a classic Lawrie signing, thought to be past his best, but proved that he wasn't...exactly the sort of player we need now. Step forward Mr Murty...Matty Holland next please...
  21. Otts...is Pulis really on £5k per week? Fook me, if that's the case I'm worth at least £10k per week. Which joker signed him then and agreed that? Oh yes, that wonderful astute business mind. Strike a light..
  22. Marco Almeida...looked like a ****gy dog and just as skilful.
  23. Let's forget about the Pompey songs - they are irrelevant now, in a different league (for a season or two) and to be honest it makes us look desperate for attention... Secondly, stop the 'Stand up if you love the Saints' bollix...to be honest when I'm watching my team that I have supported since the age of 5 I don't need to feel there's an 'I'm a better fan than you are because I stand up when told' routine...and no I didn't stand up during it even though I was surrounded in the Northam by those that did. I'm red and white through and through and don't need to do that to prove it. End of rant. Sorry. A few chorus' of 'Come on Saints..you can beat this s**t would be nice. The 'Leibherr' chant was nice to hear.
  24. Careful Charlie..the Lallana Protection Squad will be along in a minute ;-) TBH I was indifferent to him after Xmas - now with his 'Billy BigBalls Act' that Wotte mentioned - well I hope he watches his own performances...because guess what...Molyneux was better than him in the first half.. His REAL PROBLEM is that: a) He doesn't seem to know what his position is; b) None of our coaching staff or players seem to know either. If Pardew can solve that conundrum then perhaps Adam may get his big move and payday in January.
