If someone changes sex, then gets engaged and is in a relationship with a woman - is that them being a lesbian, or still straight? I'm confused - back to the Pompey Takeover Thread, at least I understand that ****

Continuing with the 'reap what ye sow' Skate theme... Isn't it ironic that had the Skates invested in a youth academy, they may never have lost Alex Oxade-Chamberlain to us??? Just think what they could've done with that £15M......?!?!
-
I think with Mark Chamberlain, he truly wants what is best for his son - remember he was a pro in the 80's before the big money arrived - he took the chance on his son being able to secure his long term future. Just one big hit from some clogger in the Champ could've ended his promising career in an instant. Console yourself with this - had Mark Chamberlain not moved Alex to us, the Skates would've been rescued with that money we got....

More on Solent at 5.20pm regarding Mr Lampitt. Can I just say......... Reap what ye sow Skates, reap what ye sow.

Good to see our Rickie and Adam in the top 3 shortlist for Championship Player of the Year. However, look to League 2's shortlist, and the fallacy of 'quality over quantity' becomes perfectly clear to the blue phew... npower League 2 Player of the Year (voted for by Football League club managers) Marlon Pack - Cheltenham Town Tyrone Barnett - Crawley Town (now on loan at Peterborough United) Matt Ritchie - Swindon Town Alas, deemed not good enough by Cotterill and Lampitt, they seem to be doing quite well. And they may have done well for Poopey too this season. Reap what ye sow, fish fiddlers.

^^^ This. With knobs on.

Quite easy I would think - it's the Daily Echo generation (who don't live on computers), who rely on it to provide information - my Dad for instance. He relies on me to keep him up to date - because the media love 'plucky pompey'..

Don't get it? Re-read Frank's Cousin's post - the clues are there. Saints = overspent, but when realisation dawned, we cut our cloth accordingly, to my now grudging respect for Rupert Lowe. Went through admin, and got lucky. Pompey = overspent, but when realisation dawned, carried on spending. Went through Admin, got lucky, and instead of cutting their cloth accordingly, KEPT ON SPENDING. They can moan and whinge ALL THEY LIKE about small squad, the FAPPT etc etc.. but these facts remain. Pompey (Lampitt and Cotterill) CHOSE 'quality over quantity' (which is why their 'oh small squad' routine makes me want to vomit); If the FAPPT wasn't so ******* weak they'd be liquidated already - but the majority are too thick to realise it.

Steve Claridge is my new hero. The FIRST recognised personality to declare on TV that they have been the architect of their own demise.
-
In response to the previous two eloquent posts above, can I simply say this... Pompey are CHEATS.
-
Best way is to set up a Twitter account, then use it to contact fans of other clubs - believe me it will snowball. Solent etc can't ignore it then...

I'm working in Portsmuff tonight...

Like I said earlier...for our entertainment purposes, Skates should be careful for what they wish for. Karma could just be starting to come.... IF Mr Birch unearths a few bodies a la 'Whitechapel'....the fun (and penalties) could be endless.
-
Has he not got a F'N Job? Sorry. Easy mistake to make...
-
Which is why AA was desperate to get the gig - no other Admin will protect his man's investment...
-
SSN just stated HOW Skates got their admin approved. 1. They couldn't afford to police another game; 2. They couldn't afford to travel to Barnsley. LAME
-
Appointment of Birch could be a win/win for all. Option 1 - he liquidates them. Option 2 - he finds a buyer whilst making the necessary cuts that result in relegation - cue much crying (and laughter) We could not be disappointed in that scenario....

SSN are reporting it - that 500k is AA's last throw of the dice...

MoanyPenny also opposed the appointment of AA.... Therefore, indirectly, she could drive the nail in that finishes them off. How apt.
