  1. If you make Pompey Takeover into an anagram.... 'Makeover Yet Pop' :-D
  2. Looks like it could be a busy day then...must repair my F5. ;-) God I hope this 'takeover' falls on its arse. It's all Storyteller deserves.
  3. Well well well...where does SBT fit in then...was he the big decision maker involved for 'Monday' as Storyteller said? http://www.arabianbusiness.com/582028-al-fahim-to-decide-on-portsmouth-future-next-week
  4. Did someone mention minerals in SA before? Candidate No2... http://www.whoswhosa.co.za/user/1887 Michael Nunn.... (Surely sooner or later we'll guess right ;-D )
  5. Oh another thing..... Israeli billionaire Arkady Gaydamak and French magnate Pierre Falcone were convicted in absentia to six years in prison for having organized the arms trafficking. Now.... Falcone.... Falcondrone?????? http://blog.taragana.com/law/2009/10/27/french-court-jails-former-interior-minister-in-angola-arms-trafficking-trial-15373/
  6. Just some info to ponder....could be nothing.... ;-) http://johnhelmer.net/?p=508 Mining entrepreneur Mike Nunn says First African Diamonds, a company he owns, was illegally expropriated, and that he is taking the DRC government to arbitration in Geneva. Alrosa first opened talks with Kabila and the Congolese when Vybornov’s predecessor, Alexander Nichiporuk, visited Kinshasa in April 2005. Alrosa’s involvement in the DRC at that time also involved controversial links to two Israelis, Arkady Gaydamak and Dan Gertler. Gaydamak was active in introducing Nichiporuk in neighbouring Angola; Gertler in the DRC. Gertler was then personally close to Kabila, and through a company he and others ran, Canadian-registered Emaxon Finance Corporation, Gertler held the marketing concession for 88% of the DRC’s diamond exports. Alrosa’s interest in Gertler was intended to buttress the break the Russian company had made with Lev Leviev, the biggest of the Israeli diamantaires, with whom, until then, Alrosa had been partnering for the sale of diamonds from the Catoca mine in Angola. --- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Rupert
  7. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1252631/Portsmouth-fans-turn-Peter-Storrie-He-suffers-threats-insists-new-deal-save-stricken-club.html Oh dear. Even the blue few are blaming him now.
  8. Of course...the 2010 World Cup, held in South Afri.....oh.
  9. Just a thought. In the Mirror article (not the Storyteller one) they state they are 48 hours away from potential admin. Now....if they need the investment from the 'takeover' to continue, this must mean they do not have the money to pay wages this month..... ...and are knowingly trading whilst insolvent. Correct?
  10. Confusicus say - 'This man is trying to cover his ar$e' http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/blogs/mirror-football-blog/Peter-Storrie-exclusive-interview-Where-it-all-went-wrong-with-Portsmouth-by-Paul-Smith-article330341.html
  11. Love the quote from Storyteller in the ESPN piece. 'The deal is red hot and we've asked for proof of funds'.... Hang on, you've been negotiating with them all week and you STILL don't know if they have a pot to ****** in? Plus it's all going to happen Monday?? Ooohhhh look. Porky Pig's just flown by...
  12. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=744890&sec=england&cc=5739 More bull....
  13. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1082226/Portsmouth-owner-Gaydamak-enters-talks-South-African-consortium-40m-takeover.html From 2008..probably irrelevant....
  14. Couldn't resist...
  15. Ah...of course the Premier League suggested you sell players Peter.... --- Spin doctor Meaning A political press agent or publicist employed to promote a favourable interpretation of events to journalists. Origin This is of American origin and came about during the 1980s, when the need for 'sound bites' became pressing enough to require a new class of publicist to provide them. The earliest printed references are from that period, For example, this from The New York Times, October 1984: "A dozen men in good suits and women in silk dresses will circulate smoothly among the reporters, spouting confident opinions. They won't be just press agents trying to impart a favorable spin to a routine release. They'll be the Spin Doctors, senior advisers to the candidates." So, why 'spin'? For the derivation of that we need to go back to yarn. We know that sailors and other storytellers have a reputation for spinning yarns. Given a phrase in the language like 'spin a yarn', we might expect to assume that a yarn was a tall tale and that the tellers spun it out. That's not quite right though. Until the phrase was coined, yarn was just thread. The phrase was coined as an entity, just meaning 'tell a tale'. That came about in the early 19th century and was first written down in James Hardy Vaux's A new and comprehensive vocabulary of the flash language, in 1812: "Yarning or spinning a yarn, signifying to relate their various adventures, exploits, and escapes to each other."
  16. I reckon Storrie does a mean impression of Max Bygraves at parties.... 'I wanna tell ya a story...'
  17. Ho Ho Ho.... Confusicus say 'He who declare interest in Pompey have not looked at books yet'
  18. ODE TO POMPEY - with a nod to my childhood hero Benny Hill. 'Twas a fresh and bright morn The sun was in the sky Several thousand posts made Waiting for that club to die... Just like the turd in the pan that just will not flush away Storrie kept on popping his head up 'Ello guv we're being taken over today' Alas it was never true It all was just a ruse.. They kept the HMRC at bay 'Cause they had too much to lose. Don't you go there diggin' Who knows what you may find Steer clear of the massage room You might see Avram's behind..
  19. Sorry Pancake, they deserve no more time extensions, no more favours, no more leniancy. The reason they got the seven days was to prove they were solvent - and for Storyteller to deliver 'evidence' of new investors that would allow them to trade solvently til the end of the season. It seems to me that they are still p1ssing in the wind. How convenient that the latest one wants 28days Due Diligence..... Just another 10 weeks after that til the Sky money turns up.... LET THAT CLUB DIE AND GIVE THOSE FANS THEIR CLUB BACK
  20. Bunch of chancers and cheats full of spin and fake takeover bids. SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE EXTRA 7 DAYS. If I were Bournemouth I'd be going public again with their situation. Taken over - stabilising financially - living within their means - small squad.... Is their embargo even raised for free agents? NO Poopey - insolvent - outgoings higher than income - late payers to all and sundry - huge ever increasing squad... Is their embargo raised for frees - YES IT IS IMMORAL, UNFAIR TO OTHER CLUBS AND IT NEEDS TO BE STOPPED NO MORE TIME, NO MORE TRANSFER LEEWAY, NO MORE CHANCES
  21. Well if all that turns out to be true, it shows Storrie as somewhat economical with the truth. Oh I forgot, he is only an employee, he never gets involved with contracts....... Just remembered.... Peter Storrie > Thaksin Shinawatara > Dave Richards (Prem Lge) Hmmmmmm...
  22. Pini Zahavi..the influential Israeli agent, and friend of Peter Storrie advising Mr James???? Haha...it's starting to smell fishier....Peter Stalling more like.
  23. I think it's been more than two Pompey fans blaming the PL to be honest. The News for the time this thread has been running has been full of Pompey fans blaming them for the 'Fit and Proper' test. How ironic is it that the one person still in situ at your club as your CEO was the one who should have checked them out.... ;-) For the record, many of us welcomed the thought of Admin as we realised NO-ONE was going to buy us with Lowe at the helm...(for whatever reason). It was a contentious argument to say the least.
  24. Can't see it. The same 'expert' was talking about Admin as a next step. Wake up Poopey...you can't do it yourselves!!! Someone (creditor) has to ask the courts......
