Brenda Brown at Eric Robinson in Bitterne is good too.

Mind you Mack, let's not forget that Ben Haim's 'value of £4M' has probably been used numerous times when journos have asked the 'value' of the playing squad at the club. So, if we all think of things like the PR coming out of that club, the £15M supposedly about to be raised from player sales is already now down to £11M. I guess they reap what they sow, it's only fair considering they 'claimed' in January that he was one of the players worth a combined £30M....only for someone later to check his contract. Sounds familiar.....Mike Williamson??????

Another example of why they are still using Storrie's 'expertise in football matters' :-D http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/football/830594/BUNGLING-POMPEY-WILL-LOSE-BEN-HAIM-ON-A-FREE.html

Difficult to say..but if you went into a foreign exchange and used the card to withdraw cash, you would probably been looking at a cash advance charge - worth checking. Alternatively, using it in shops/restaurants etc wouldn't incur this.
-
Normally if you spend anything on a card which you have already transferred a balance onto, then you have to pay off the 'higher' debt of the balance (i.e the new money) before you reduce the amount you'd transferred from Barclaycard. Any addition to the card on top of your balance transfer amount is charged on the standard rate on the card (unless you can find a 0% BT and 0% spending card - although that would probably only be for 6mths). HTH.

Doesn't 9 months take us close to when Storrie's due to appear in court?
-
Well well well.......haha :-D

At the creditors' meeting at Fratton Park on May 6, the club's administrators outlined a CVA proposal that would offer creditors a minimum of 20p back in the pound, spread over a period of five years. The first year, the money will come direct from player sales. The following years, it will come straight out of the club's net profit. --------------- Eh?!? :-) Am I the only one seeing a slight contradiction here???? CVA paid from players sales in Year 1???? So what happens if they sell no-one then? Company Net Profit in Year 2 ???? = delusional optimism...... I can't believe the skates fall for this sh1t.

Surely Storrie's position is untenable now? Not good business practice whilst 'trying to find a new owner' is it? One other thing, if Petey is dealing with transfers, and Lampitt Opik's running the club from next week...just what is the Android doing to earn the dough?
-
Oh I feel special now........haha

Whatever happens he's out of Pompey's range, which I believe is currently a set of Wembley away shirts (as exclusively designed by Stevie Wonder) and an unused copy of 'How to run a company for Dummies' - retrieved from Nottarf Krap's boardroom.

Android was on Solent this morning - explaining the reasons for why he put Chinarai alongside Prince William in the Royal Box on Saturday.... Plus if it was Chinarai's son as mascot.... 'Preferential treatment for an owner who's not the owner but may just yet be the new owner who doesn't really want it but will take it as long as he's the owner with much lower debt to begin with handy that he appointed an administrator and paid for him wasn't it?' I couldn't shorten that so that the cesspit of PCFC could be described any better. We're on 525 pages and the FA can't be arsed.

The initial thoughts behind implementing them was sound, in an attempt to speed up the home buying process.. Unfortunately when the other professionals in the process see 'time as money' in a different way to everyone else, it was doomed to fail. The things I have heard about how some solicitors operate, frankly I'm not surprised.
-
TBH Steve most solicitors have been duplicating the searches within the HIP up until now anyway - so the buyer would have paid for those on top of what you paid for the HIP. Most searches are only valid on the day produced. When HIP's were introduced, the Government dropped the one thing that was worthwhile in them - the Home Condition Report. The EPC was a Europe-led document which they had no choice in. That was basically the best thing about them - a proper valuation, warts and all of the property you were thinking of buying. Unfortunately, RICS objected, as did the Estate Agencies. Solicitors hated them - why? Because everyone found out that work that they said would take two weeks could be done in days or even less. I'd check with your chosen agent to be honest - there will be a cut-off date when you no longer need one. (P.S - I'm not a disgruntled customer of solicitors etc, have worked in Financial Services for 15 years and seen it all be implemented!!)

I'm sure I read somewhere that her nickname at college was 'Up the ar$e Amanda'.....

Loved the joker interviewed by Solent at the game...it's being played in their news bulletins... 'Well yeah the players were great - they can beat us, but they'll never take our spirit. We'll be back here next year for the play-offs' :-D Not confident of automatic promotion then?????? Hahahahahaha.... The other thing that ****ed me off was people on Saturday 'Oh Wembley is like Pompey's 2nd home'... ERRRRR....NO. THAT WILL EITHER BE A CARAVAN OR THE HIGH COURT.
-
Ahhh..the satisfaction of beginning the trend of.... CHEATS
-
TBH it's the kids I feel sorry for. I'm becoming pretty much indifferent on the bloke really - fair play to him for his dedication and all that.... ...just wish the dedication was towards a club that was worth supporting... :-D
-
My thoughts on the whole thing have been that the source for Adam at Solent was valid - (I can't see him running it if he wasn't at least 99% sure) - and... Perhaps the story was put in by NC to test the fans' reaction to the possibility of Pards leaving?? Conspiracy led I grant you, but it would be a good way to test opinion.
-
Here's a nice video for tomorrow... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAmT4azRwrk Great for posting on other clubs' boards don't you think?! BTW - Solent reported at 11AM THAT THEY STILL HAVE HALF OF THE 1000 TICKETS LEFT! Haha...greatest fans in the world eh?

Sam Vokes from Wolves on loan. (I've said it before, so I'll say it again).... -
I know it's been posted before, but it's worth catching up on Matt Slater's blog - especially his responses to the comments posted - this guy was at the creditors meeting.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/mattslater/2010/05/its_a_fudge_not_a_fairytale.html#comments Ok, here's my post (the one not removed...ahem) 25. At 5:44pm on 12 May 2010, saintly wrote: Portsmouth's actions when they had their transfer embargo lifted in January should be investigated too. When lifted, they brought in even more players on loan (Abeyie, O'Hara, Rocha, Tosic) - and this was after they were declared insolvent by the Statement of Affairs produced at the High Court. You would think they would be wanting to reduce their outgoings.. If the Administrator has to 'cut the club's cloth' now, why has he appointed a new CEO to replace the one still employed as a consultant? Until a new owner is located, surely the CEO position is covered by the Administrator? Still, I hope the fans have a good day out on Saturday - many are embarrassed by the way their club has been run. They didn't ask for this to happen. As far as their future is concerned? Pompey starting the 2010-11 season on nil points in the Championship, without further punishment and with much lower debts and a squad with a playing budget of £10M following a FA Cup Final appearance? I used to believe the term 'cheats never prosper'.. ------------------------------------------------ Matt's response.... saintly (25) - You're right to bring that up. The timings of various actions by the board is of utmost interest to HMRC et al. Who did what and when, will be a major part of any investigation. The January loan signings issue is very thorny, particularly the last two as they came after the club passed up the chance to sell players (and therefore alleviate debt) during the transfer window. A lot of goodwill within football disappeared at that point.
