Indeed - and Radio Solent strangely choose not to read out texts asking such questions.

Le Tissier Snubbed ticket for United game ?
Channon's Sideburns replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Christ - someone must have peed in your tea today or something. I never mentioned Cortese. I just want, if possible, everyone treated the same. People who BUY tickets (which MLT has done I'm sure) should be adhering to the same rules laid down to the rest of us. BTW, it made me feel sick at the last Man U cup game to see people in the Saints stands fawning over Rooney et al. They're not bloody role models to me. Listen, it pees me off when you hear stories of certain ex-reps (whether it's players/managers etc) getting 70k a year for a bit of hand shaking - I appreciate what they did for OUR club, but it's not a gravy train for ever. As for you mentioning Rodrigues - I happened once to spend a crossing from Soton to Cherbourg with him, purely by chance. Lovely bloke, no airs or graces, who was humbled by the fact that we WANTED to speak to him about those days. For every person who appreciates Matty, there's another who appreciates what Nick Holmes did more, or Micky Channon. -
Funny how all of Cotterill's recent interviews on Solent have been hinting that the problem lies with Chinnery not giving him approval for more players....someone's telling porkies somewhere.... I give Cotterill a month.

Can you not see though that in the event of a sell-out that maybe 9 other regular Saints fans might miss out on the game? Let's assume the 9 others who miss out have supported Saints for 30 years and are on the database? I love MLT - have got all the videos/book etc but come on, let's be fair. We contributed to his wages by buying tickets all of those years. Does Peter Rodrigues get treated any differently as he led us to win the FA Cup? Probably not. -

For me it's not about tickets per se. The issue seems to be that MLT can't admit to the fact that he backed a bunch of chancers. NC calls Pinnacle a crock of sh1te, which for all we saw in the end, it was. End of story. All it would have taken was for Matty to put his hands up and admit he GOT IT WRONG. Due Diligence on his partners in Pinnacle perhaps? Few phone calls? Google FFS. Long & Short of it, is that Pinnacle in theory COULD have cost the club its existence. For that, when it became apparent they had less money than a whore in Pompey, they should have faced it up, and passed on to someone else. Oh no, we get SSN interviews from a supposed investor. It isn't rocket science. Christ we did due diligence on Barry the Briefcase on here using Google.. -
On another side issue..can't see HOW they are remaining solvent... Discuss. 15k crowds - £20 per ticket? - 2 home games a month? (300k per game x 2 = 600k revenue) Kitson/Lawrence/Utaka/Ben Haim/Macarena/Hughes/Brown? Based on an average, that's £140k PER WEEK on wages (not including bonuses).... (that's £560k of the revenue gone) For only 7 players in their 'squad'. Perhaps the youngsters are being loaned out to keep the 'wolf from the door'???

Perhaps Cotterill has banned Poopey players from Twitter purely on the basis that most fans won't be able to understand. I did hear the other day that Mr Cotterill is not a happy bunny down there anyway - my money's on him walking at the end of the window...that said, I did think before that he'd be gone by Xmas... Dean Court beckons perhaps...?? Another song for the Bompey fans though...sung to 'Carrie' by Cliff Richard... Eddie doesn't love you anymore Left his loyalty by the back door.. With Burnley he's impressed Left Mitchell all depressed Back to where you were before... EEEDDDIIIEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Tell you one thing. Solent have been rather silent on the Liam Lawrence story and Hughes etc....

Re: Fuglers/Spurs/Venables/P*mpey - it, to me looks just like a funny coincidence. You know, like the ones we've seen on some other pages, a few hundred ago....haha
-
Well that sets up a move away for him already then. Spin and Bull..
-
Oh cripes...I thought this thread was a goner...! Anyway. Here's a little snippet. Read Alan Sugar's book over Xmas. Turns out Fuglers used to be linked to Terry Venables during his spat with Sugar. Hmm. Said Venables has history with Pompey > so do Fuglers..
-
Nick Halling would be a good replacement TBF.

Ah...I've missed this thread. Stopped looking once they 'came out' so to speak...but it still runs...! Soon it will be the longest thread known to man. Good work. As long as the good ship Skatanic keeps dodging the iceberg it shall run and run..

Oh the irony. SSN showing Gaydamak - the background? 'Pompey New Stadium Launch'... Hahahahahahaa....Karma's a *****.

It all smells. Basically what we are looking at, is what we have said all along. It's a set up. If they go pop, AA & BC say 'We did all we could....please love us'. If they push a deal through, they're heroes. Gaydamak can't lose either way. Just a shame the skates are too thick to see through it all.

Indeed. While you're at it though, can you tell Lambert's Left Leg to co-operate with the right? Cheers.

Comparing Saints and Bournemouth..
Channon's Sideburns replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
Simon Cowell must be Mr Mitchell's fave celeb... -
In these types of matters, it's important to think how others view us. I asked the thoughts of Swiss Tony. He said to me 'When comparing Southampton to AFC Bournemouth, it's just like making love to a beautiful woman. When Bournemouth have shot their bolt at Christmas like a 17 year old in a Saxo, Southampton will just be completing foreplay ready to lead the lady to a mutual promotion come May'. Wise words.

I've said it before, he'll be gone before Christmas. As for Mandaric, told you........ Big Big Big Cover Up of Bella Emberg knicker scale.

Oh dear. BBC_Matt posted on twitter - SSN says Prem League has ruled Pompey owe Spurs £1m for collapsed Begovic 'deal'. Breach of contract. Oh dear. PFC will appeal
