Cameron - "Multiculturalism has failed"
Channon's Sideburns replied to SuperMikey's topic in The Lounge
Religon sadly, is the root of most of the world's evil. Oh I forgot, oil. -
http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/bygone-blues/awford_backed_for_youth_revolution_1_2385862 He QUIT his job as a PE Teacher for THAT?! Andy Awful, what are you thinking? A job initially 'to the end of the club/sorry season'?!? Ah well, at least they'll have a coach to player ratio of 1:1.
-
I still think that he was 'put' in there to keep a lid on the truth.
-
Wouldn't it be nice if Radio Solent gave a little more coverage to the reality of Pompey's situation rather than playing along with the PR line at the club? Mr Blackmore was quick enough off the mark to report (just before a home game) that 'rumours' were circulating about Markus not being happy with Pards wasn't he? I like Adam, he's honest as the day is long but the continual playing along with the 'hard luck Pompey' routine by Solent as a whole is really quite tiresome. They haven't even seemed to question Cotterill over his claims for more players when Lembit Opik has stated they'd decided to go for 'quality over quantity'... Come on guys...let's see you investigate how they can afford their wage bill on 13k gates eh???? Basic economics dictate that there are some big porky pies out there.

Just remembered another thing though. There was a 'nice' side to the guy - before a match last season at St Marys one of his 'shots' went full pelt into the crowd and poleaxed a young kid - straight in the face. He didn't mean it, think he aimed for the top left hand corner to be honest. Anyway, he ran into the crowd and checked the kid was ok. Not only that, after the game he went into the crowd and he gave him his shirt. (Which is now a collector's item. )

To be fair I had to rewind it on Sky + just to make sure. How the Sky reporter didn't break into laughter I'll never know. Let's be fair, what's going on now is much more fun than last years' court appearances. We knew it was coming. Just hope that Solent for once grow some balls and call Pimpley out - where's the money?
-
Hello chap. To give another analogy, signing Puncheon is like marrying Jordan. At it's peak, it's like nothing else. Then after a few weeks the cracks start to show, only to end in petulant behaviour. Probably unfair to some, but this is allegedly the same tosser who showed his respect to Markus' legacy by wearing jeans to the memorial service.

I sense that the long term forecast is non-league. Perhaps the Skates would be interested?
-
Not to mention the biggest LOL of the Transfer Window. According to SSN one of the teams trying to get Shaun Wright-Phillips was.....you've got it. Cotterill's potless wonders. SWP?!!??? Pompey can't afford BWP....

Transfer deadline day thread!

Craig Beattie? I thought it was Kevin Beattie we were after...?! (one for the oldies) -
A left hand side of Vignal and Harding would be pretty damn good. Let's assume Lallana's not available for a minute.
-
Gregory Vignal's unattached at the moment. Always looked assured to me.

Looks like Utaka heading to Montpellier will be like a 'home from home' after his time at Nottarf Krap. 'The main focus point of the city is the Place de la Comédie.' You couldn't make it up

Ah yes, dear Hypo. It does look rather grand I grant you. However, as we well know, it's better to have an empire built on solid foundations rather than an all singing all dancing proposition built on borrowed sand. Nice analogy huh?

What were the odds yesterday?
Channon's Sideburns replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
Bugger. -
What were the odds on Chappers scoring first and MU winning 2-1? I want to know how much I COULD have won..

TBF if a any of this crap gets spouted at the Mayflower next month, I'm walking out. Some ex-players need to grow up FFS. If it's a legal issue, you'd do well to keep your mouth shut. In this day and age, anyone can be deemed a 'legend' for breathing. MLT - full respect, but realise the Pinnacle rubbish and your inability to recognise the risk it created is harming you; FB - again respect, but some things need to remain behind closed doors - don't cheapen the club or your history with it.

Nah, he bumped into Burley and inhaled the fumes. -
Man City forum - just before we score (and the goal etc of course)

Not to mention Phelan's double role as the third linesman, directing his arms to influence the ref. It ffoking stinks. -
...and his post match condescending interview. 'When you come to these lower league clubs...blah blah blah'... Listen you sanctimonious over-rated short arse, remember that statement and the rest of the tone of your interview when you're looking for a club in six months time. In 6-12 months you'll be wishing you played for us. (The above comments may not be agreed upon by some, but it makes me feel better).

To be fair, Matty's timberage makes it difficult to actually leave the ground.
-
Can I just add.... HAHAHAHAHA Karma's a....
-
Nice to see good old Alan fiddling with the self destruct button if this one goes through. Help yourself though.

I knew who he was anyway - he was involved in a VAT scam with a Mr Lord from Barton on Sea.
