Thing is Phil, a Consumer Credit Licence like ConversMoney has is only put in place again once the individuals have been checked out in a similar fashion to the FSA (I know this because I've got a CCL licence and FSA approval). It's a lot of hoops to jump through - my only assumption on this is that Mr A isn't named as a Director (as all directors that the company has have to be checked out before the company gets the CCL).

They could have delved just one stage deeper when assessing CSI and the individuals behind it. One little trip to Google would unearth how Antonov's own bank was refused a UK licence by the Financial Services Authority. It isn't rocket science - given the experience of the FA, and especially PFC's recent history you'd think they would have made the extra effort. If there was reasonable doubt about the companies he was linked to (or owned) the FA should have raised it. They didn't. Now they are possibly about to reap what they sow. Just compare it to the whole Micky Fialka story over us - within hours of him appearing on SSN it was clear he wasn't quite...errr..the right person for us.
