There are many Saints fans out there who: a) Believe all the PR hype and accept anything they are told by you know who; b) Don't believe any of it and realise there will be only two winners out of this experiment, and one of them is not SFC - a clue - L & W... The only thing revolutionary about our coaching set up is that although we have our coaches, it seems only one person is running this club. You can't say that you weren't warned....

Sorry Ponty, I'm not at all happy with being 'happy to survive' - its not the dream ticket that the PR dept promised, basically it balls....big hairy ones. We need to readjust - RB is a problem area, almost all of our conceded goals come from that side - anyone can look back and check. We are still teetering on the edge - its not Jan's fault, what else can he work with? BTW, any news on Gasmi or Pulis???

Basically we persist with Lloyd James at RB - look at all our league games, and most of our conceded goals come from the right hand side. It's blatantly obvious....time to get a grip FFS Jan.... PS - It's not James' fault he's playing there, granted.

Sorry Nick, I wasn't insinuating that you were the 'numpty', just to clarify. Those who I would term as this are the ones who seem to post on the Echo site a lot. I just feel that they are a little misguided to believe everything that's fed through the Echo and the OS - you can't, even with the most level headed viewpoint, take anything that gets released as gospel. That's the beauty of this forum, we get to debate issues that aren't yet in the domain of the average Echo Reader.....even if some posts end up on 606 Online as if they are exclusives 24 hours after they've been launched on threads here! I remain passionate about the club, in fact I wouldn't feel so strongly if I didn't. My parents started taking me as a 5 year old, queuing up outside the Milton End at 10am each home game so I could get to the front to stand on a milk crate...aahhh parking in the Unigate as well..(cheers Bob Stock!)... Birthdays were always spent trying to work out if I had the new Saints Kit and visits to the Saints Shop were just....well the best thing ever. I'll always be grateful for the effort my parents put in and its nice now to return the favour to my father at St Marys. The issue with Lowe hasn't been for me (at least) to do with his upbringing - its just the club I know and love from those early days (the family atmosphere that people like 'BigAl' Smith in Junior Saints generated) - seems a far distant memory. Christ, I know it's nostalgic, but back then you felt like family. About 15 years later, during the Branfoot era (who was a nice guy) Alan Smith even gave me 2 weeks Work Experience when I was at college - he remembered me from all the years gone by from Junior Saints. Would anyone get that treatment now? St Marys being built was a fantastic achievement - well done to Lowe and Cowen on that one. However one thing I cannot ever forget, regardless of what happens moving forward, is how downhill the club went in Lowe's hands - not just relegation, but the country's view of us as a club. We were like Newcastle are now. Overall you can forgive (because he is doing a good job now) but never forget.

Who's categorising who?? You seem to have me down as a Lowe Hater - I'm not, just realistic about what he is likely to do (hence my explanation of what I think will happen in Jan). I do not trust a word Lowe or Wilde spout - doesn't mean I don't admire what has been done since they have returned though. My biggest pet hate isn't actually Lowe - it is solely based on PR Spin and Bull - which I know is part and parcel of 2008 Britain. But, FFS one minute we haven't got a pot to pee in, next minute we're spending €1M euros on Schnederlin, bringing in 2 loanees from the Prem, and supposedly bringing back Quashie....all good moves I hasten to add.... HOWEVER I hate the whole 'we're skint' scenario - yes we are but let's not keep on about it....I'm skint too but that's modern life as well. My feelings for Lowe aren't 'pantomime hatred' - that's a get out clause for Lowe Apologists so they can ignore the damage that relegation has caused. All the incessant bull about his previous running of the club also winds me up. I remember seeing on here that our finances weren't that fantastic even while in the Prem - so in that respect we're looking at Lowe in comparison with Brown's handling of the economy. Lowe is here and now, however I can't wait until he ducks off into the sunset.

I'm a little confused by you Nick. Agree re: Lowe=Stick. Damned if he sells etc etc...but its far from laughable. There are many more deserving departees than Lallana....(SKACEL) However to say 'there's no reason why the club couldn't have taken 300k for him' is a bit strange. Anyone with an experience of business will know that Lowe is already planning for an imminent departure by tieing Lallana to a new deal first - he's just waiting for the Jan Window (after more good performances) before realising more like Lallana's true value. Good business some would say. We probably only turned down the option to sell because we know we'll get more in January - that's not positive at all (unless you look at solely the balance sheet). I feel that Gasmi is being brought in to replace Schneiderlin or Lallana in Jan (hence agreeing to buy when injured) and this also ties in with the possible return of Quashie (who would boss the midfield and get us up the table). Let's not just get carried away with the Lowe Love in - he's just biding his time until the right deal comes along...

I was in the Regus building a couple of weeks ago, the person I met there said very hush-hush that those trying to takeover the FC were in that building....now glad that someone else has posted it.
