  1. Jeez, where do you buy your blinkers Nick?? If you SERIOUSLY think what you have posted is correct, I feel genuinely sorry for you.
  2. As the potential AGM approaches (can't wait for the PR on that one) - does anyone else think that as a group we should raise a particular question at the AGM? Especially due to the latest confirmation regarding Dave Bassett - as shareholders can we issue a vote of no confidence in Lowe and Wilde? Would be interested to know if this is possible.
  3. Oh marvellous... The funniest thing has been we were all predicting that we would be raiding the Tyro Leagues shortly, which now appears to be coming true...! My only regret is that Saints weren't doing that 20 years ago - I might have had a chance then..... It simply BEGGARS BELIEF - we are now the most laughable club in the land.
  4. Ask Frankie of his thoughts of the 8-2 win at The Dell over Coventry - think Danny W and Steve Steve Moran got hat-tricks and Frankie added one other...think Dave Armstrong got the other. Thank Frank for his warm ups for me - the flick up after some keep ups, trapped the ball by dipping his neck, let it roll down his back, flipped it back over his head with the heel and then volleyed.... I kid you not - this guy was fantastic..... Finally, ask him if he's free to play upfront - he could teach our current lot how to hit a barn door at least....
  5. Yesssshhh..I tell you my boysch...I got to shellect just one of you this week... OR Jan gives his prediction of the Crowd Attendance after Xmas...
  6. Sorry to burst the conspiracy bubble Inf, but it was only meant as an 'in joke' about those supposedly ITK - apologies for any other impression given by my inclusion of that... Cherrypip still around?? I am very interested to see if we can get some guidance as to whether the original mortgage was brokered through SIS though - anyone know?
  7. Or the financial arm of Saints at that time - SIS ??? It could be (a 'Long Shot' I guess!!) that the £560k might actually have stayed within the club..... Don't get me wrong, I dislike Rupey Baby with a passion, but he might just have kept the deal in house - which would have been good business.
  8. As a mortgage adviser for over 14 years, I can only raise one issue - the situation depends a lot on how the loan was arranged - plus commercial finance remains a totally different proposition to residential finance. The 'current' deal of 2% above BBR is a standard type of deal - and back 2001 even on residential terms many people WANTED Fixed Rates - there were very very few Trackers available at that time (especially on Commercial Terms). Don't get me wrong, I DO think that a 25 year Fixed Rate is decidedly questionable - would be interested to know who BROKERED the deal, and pocketed the commission.... Now, THAT would be interesting to know....
  9. Ahhhhhh the 'We have no money' bombshell - remember when Lowe made that abundantly clear in his press conference at his return? This was of course prior to us signing Schneiderlin, Holmes, Wotton, Perry, et al, not to mention the loanees from Premier League clubs....now how did we pay for all of their wages and agents fees if we were potless then??? You didn't actually believe what Rupey told you did you??? Also, regardless of the salaries of the above players, just how can the overdraft increase by 2million in a few months? What other salaries have been absorbed I wonder??????? Could it be that we are 'potless' because the cream is being drawn from the top of the bottle???
  10. Doo doo doo...Johnny Viafara!!!! He was the Hurlock of our generation - at least he played like he gave a toss!
  11. Simple really Ron, its one of the Lowe Sympathiser's favourite get-out clauses - they believe that only Rupey Baby could have implemented youth in our club. The same sort of belief that make them feel the club had no influence prior to 1997 - regardless of our history of mixing youth and experience. A forward line of Steve Moran and Frankie Worthington anyone?? I was there when we tonked Coventry 8-2 at The Dell - hattricks for Danny Wallace and Moran - total football existed then!!!! Mind you, Perry Suckling was in goal...
  12. TBF John if we all accepted what is currently on offer we deserve everything we get. NOW is the time to make it abundantly clear that Lowe and Wilde are not the future of this club... I do care who is in charge because that is the catalyst for WHERE we end up in the next year or so. Hindsight is a wonderful thing - pity many on here didn't stop to think about what was round the corner when they welcomed the return of their 'saviour Lord Lowe' a short few months ago.
  13. Just a question, perhaps I should make a few things clear before I justify that question... I do not know Leon Crouch personally, in fact the closest I've come is driving past LPE in Lymington...plus he used to live next door to a field my family used to rent... When Lowe and Wilde returned, much was made of the fact that L&W would 'right the wrongs of the previous board'. Well, I think now is a good time to compare before and after.... 1) Financial Prudence - it has been rumoured on here for a while that we went 'spending crazy' under Crouch's tenure. Where is the evidence of this? Sure, he sent Skacel and Rasiak out in January, and brought in loanees (Wright for example, who contributed to us staying up). So, without the benefit of the figures involved, you have to assume we broke even - or even saved a little. BUT, now it has been mentioned on here that the company overdraft has increased further in the last few months - WHY?????? It can't just be dwindling attendances if the wage bill has 'supposedly' been trimmed....or has it? Hardly showing financial prudence. In fact, I feel that we are approaching a similar scenario to the relegation season, with a squad high on physical numbers, but low on talent.......and we all know how that ended up. 2. Morale Before I start this, I am not going to comment further on the team or staff morale - because I have no idea how different it is, for better or for worse... However, the fans morale is a different issue....the atmosphere at the last game of last season was immense..I even convinced my Dad to go on the pitch with me, and he said it was the most togetherness he had seen in supporting Saints for over 50 years... I really felt that we had turned the corner under Pearson - yes, the playing staff wasn't ideal, but there was a fightback under way.....now, we seem to be sliding, even though the style of football has been better! The fans are divided just six short months after we felt like a complete unit - christ even the Chapel ran on the pitch to celebrate. I want that feeling back.... ---- I really feel that in order to progress (as a CLUB) we need Mr Lowe and Mr Wilde at this time to pick up the phone, and involve Leon. Unity is the only way forward in the short term. Long term, we need Lowe and Wilde removed - where Leon fits into this I do not know. They are sucking the lifeblood (fans) of this club dry - forget the financials. Yes, the credit crunch is biting (I lost my job as a Mortgage Adviser recently as a result) but there are more reasons why people are staying away - a lot of it on principle. The reason there was such a reaction to RL going into the dressing room the other night was one reason, and one reason only - they DO NOT TRUST HIM. TSF has been full of threads, far too many on the subject (cue the abuse for starting another ) but that just shows the depth of feeling. Somebody come and save us. PLEASE Leon, from one Lymingtonian to another, I hope you're setting plans in motion.
  14. Rod, For someone who takes his/her username from the combined names of some of our best players during the 90's, you should be well positioned to understand the reasons behind the hate shown towards Lowe and his Cronies. Back then, under Nicholl, we were playing fluent football, mixing youth AND experience and overturning the best - Liverpool 4-1 at home anyone??? Yes, I was there. In those days, hell you would probably ask 10 Saints fans who the chairman was and they wouldn't care - it was Askham the Bounty Hunter BTW.... Now, I despise Lowe for the attention seeking element of his personality and I don't want him anywhere near MY club - if he's such a great businessman (WH Ireland etc) just WHY the hell is he still bothering with Saints???????? Questions that have never been answered. The fact he sees that he can offer something inspiring in the changing rooms is plain stupidity - WGS would have had none of it. OUR ONCE GREAT CLUB IS IN MELTDOWN UNDER THE FOOTBALL EQUIVALENT OF DAVID BRENT
  15. Well fine, but let's have it declared publicly then, no more of this silent manouvering...
  16. Well he can f@@k off as far as I'm concerned - one step too far.
  17. Why, my oh my I do believe Rupert is now classified as a 24ct Waannnnnnnnn.... Who the HELL does he think he is?? Imagine...'OK David, listen if that frightful chap at the back tries to kick you, ask him kindly if he would refrain, as it just isn't hockey..' 'But Mr Lowe, we are playing football'
  18. You sir, must be a skate on a wind-up, as nothing else could excuse such a ***ttish statement such as 'I don't think its the fan's place to criticise...' IT'S MY RIGHT AS A FAN FOR OVER 30 YEARS, AND A SHAREHOLDER TO QUESTION HOW MY CLUB IS BEING RUN. Such attitudes as 'he is in charge, therefore he must know what he is doing' is complete ********. Before you slag off Crouch, he did loan out players (Rasiak and Skacel in January). He was also going to close the corners.
  19. Sorry Nick, but loading the squad with cheap sh1te does us no good at all - remember the last time we went for squad numbers over squad quality???? Funnily enough, Rupes was here then, and guess what??? We got relegated - deja vu....
  20. Sammy Saint cannot walk round the pitch today as he is playing upfront... ---- Onwards we march with a little ditty, It obvious we have nothing in the kitty Rupes and Mikey have bled us dry But please don't stop and cry Please keep your scarves and stripey hats Because we'll soon get rid of those two........ Answers on a postcard please. ----- Rupert Lowe has left the building after donating his previous severance payment to assist the club in its hour of need.
  21. Nick, There are similarities - Lowe always preached prudence whilst at the helm previously, which contributed (note - I didn't say it was the only reason!) to our downfall and relegation...we all know that underperforming players came in to it as well.. The problem is, we (sorry, he) is making the same mistakes - letting Stern John leave is cutting your nose off to spite your face ...mmm let's let our top scorer from last season go on loan, to join our previous top goalscorer (Rasiak) in plying his trade with a CCC competitor. Yes, they are not cheap, but give me John or Rasiak over BWP and DMG anyday. After all, they cost the money because they score goals FFS..
  22. One from my days in the Family Centre... Steve Moran, Steve Moran Steve Steve Moran When he gets the ball he's sure to score Steve Steve Moran or... OOOOOOOOH TERRY HURLOCK! Christ I'm getting old.
  23. Although there are reasons I guess why this revelation (?) is now on here, could there not be more to this? In this way, Wilde has (according to some historic posts on here) experienced some tough times with his wife's health. Now, although on an 'SFC' level he deserves contempt for his bed-sharing with Rupert, who knows what was happening in his private life then - surely he is allowed to let off steam??? I know, that if I was in his situation, you would need to cope somehow. Burley though gets no sympathy from me - have to admit I chuckled when you hear stories now about Scottish Players insisting they won't play for their country again whilst he is in charge. Wilde's only mistake on that part was not insisting on Burley's removal....
  24. But that is the point, they (L&W) WILL use Admin to secure their position. More Coffee yet?
