  1. Well there we go. Peter Reid would come to us if asked. Rupert? Mikey? Oh **** it, why did I mention Mikey...we all know he has no stroke in the boardroom anyway...
  2. Ah Jonah...thanks for reminding me of the architect of many of those errors..... GUY ASKHAM...who supports.....you know who.
  3. I'll back of Wotte a little when he manages to win a ****ing game. Oh the old 'damage already done' chestnut - does that mean we can lose all games between now and the end of the season then????
  4. And just how many promotions has Lord Hoddle achieved without money to waste??? THAT'S why you'll never see Hoddle back...we have no money (allegedly).
  5. Trouble is though Nick, we ALL see what mistakes are being made, even now. If say, Rupey Baby had removed Poortvliet and replaced him with a manager of some experience in THIS league, he would have at least received some support for having the balls to make the change. By promoting Wotte he has taken his eyes off the ball...AGAIN. He obviously can't have that many advisers, as someone, somewhere has to tell him he is acting like a right ****. HE IS NEVER GOING TO LEARN...'THERE IS NONE SO BLIND...AS THOSE WHO WON'T SEE'
  6. Because according to some on here we can't afford to..which is a convenient excuse bearing in mind Lowe wouldn't bring anyone in anyway because it would be a declaration of failure.. We can fill the squad with sh1te (Pulis,Gasmi, Smith,Molyneux), we can pay Rupey and Cowen, and the coaching team can swell more than Ron Jeremy's ****, but we can't afford a Pearson right??? I've seen enough after three games to show that Wotte won't be saving us.
  7. Maybe Nick, but who is going to take the blame for relegation this season then??? Poortvliet? Wotte? The Fans? Woggy Taylor? One thing is for sure - Rupey Baby will come out of this blameless as usual..along with Teflon David Jones and 'Lord Lucan' Wilde... Step forwards Messrs Askham, Richards, Withers, Winsor-Clive...you stand before us charged with dereliction of duty towards SFC....
  8. He'd be an improvement on Wotte. In fact, Mike Bassett would be an improvement on Wotte.
  9. Hmmm..history repeating?? Liptak/Gasmi???
  10. Truth is Frank, We could have cut costs WITHOUT going down the 'kids will be alright' route. This was the BIGGEST MISTAKE - not appointing JP. We could have brought in more players on frees - but no, let's go for max publicity and early Sky appearances after they've been told how 'revolutionary' we are....
  11. JFP, admittedly you may be right - but we have to give something else a go - Wotte has already given us **** all to be hopeful about in his games in charge. Reid could well be the shot in the arm we need.
  12. More of a joke that Mr Wotte and his public statements of 'there is quality in this side'...hmmm where are we in the league? How many points has 'his' team, not Poortvliet's won??? Interesting, we now just have to hope that Mr Wotte can utilise that 'quality' eh??? I wouldn't put any money on it. Sitting by when we were treading water in November did us **** all good. Where was Wotte with his observations then??? What help, if any, did he give Jan?? **** all. Why? Because he knew he's get the next chance...
  13. Guy Askham....the innovator on how to **** up a Football Club. For Rupert to succeed he needs spineless cowards like Askham etc backing him.
  14. What Redknapp did whilst in charge doesn't allieviate Lowe of responsibility...so what was Redknapp then, another poor Lowe appointment??????
  15. Oh I know...let's have a revolutionary in charge then shall we??? Old Fashioned English Player in keeping Southampton FC up shocker....lightening can strike twice. Some stupid, dud coach who spends more time in the press talking about the 'quality' in the team instead of explaining how the **** he's going to get us out of this speaks volumes.
  16. Peter Reid would be ideal... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=10037 We could afford to pay him by offloading Wotte and Gorre, Kim van der Waals, Rupert Lowe.....
  17. What we need now is a grafter, and a fighter in charge of these players. Step forward Peter Reid. Understands this league and what it takes to get out of it. Sunderland A.F.C. Division 1 Champions 95-96 Division 1 Champions 98-99 Currently in Thailand, can't see why he couldn't be persuaded.... BRING HIM IN NOW
  18. 'One Ian Baird' doesn't sound the same does it.... Really think that if some of our younger fans want to get an idea of why so many of us stick with the club, it's for memories of players like Nick.
  19. Best idea yet. Why not? At least we can make a statement and show support to another local side. Salisbury or maybe Eastleigh?
  20. Oh dear...you missed the point again Jonah. WGS was the exception to the rule. WGS aside, all of his other managers have had their fingers burnt under him - in fact include WGS in that (Malbranque and Saha??!) Souness - walked; Dave Jones - we don't need to go into that one; Hoddle - walked; Gray - 'a mutual' - who signed Delgado again?? Wigley - 'a mutual' - tell me he ever said 'no' to Rupert; Sturrock - 'a mutual' - hmmmm...with the truth ever come out? Redknapp - a very one-sided story - would love to know Harry's view; Wise and Bassett - I don't think that they left with positive thoughts; Burley - hmmmm Pearson - probably glad he didn't have to work with him. How many public statements of support has Lowe received from those in that list after they left???? One. WGS' autobigraphy. Would be interested if you could find another. I won't hold my breath, it will be like waiting for a home win.
  21. Oh come on..realistic questions only Sid. How about, after six games in League 1, and a heavy defeat to Walsall, do you still feel Rupert and Wotte are the way forward...and our top scorer has signed from the Tyro League.
  22. Not half as stupid as employing ineffective 'yes' men who haven't the balls to stand their ground... Perhaps that's why he holds respect for WGS - someone who actually stood his ground? Just a thought...
  23. Like supporting them 100% so far this season has had a POSITIVE effect eh???
  24. OB, you can't possibly be serious....you really think even if we had WGS back after Crouch left that Lowe would have left him there??? One word. Ego. He won't work with anyone who doesn't go along with his terms.
  25. Therein lies probably one of the reasons he wasn't appointed.
