I contacted Mike Osman before the last one and he promoted the march on his Sunday show on Solent...
-
Perry McMillan was there at the first one and was helping Connor out - also liased with the Police to ensure things went smoothly. He could have sat back that day and criticised Connor - he didn't and tried to help. When the Thermos Brigade have passed on to pastures greener we will need supporters like Connor to take on the mantle. Without young fans like him we are fooooked in 10 or so years time. I've never met Perry but he was a credit to the cause that day.

Mike Wilde must be mightily piiiissed off that Wotte has nicked his training top.
-
And then watch him blame the 'fansh for the negative atmoshhfere'....

who wants us to go into admin and/or wotte to fail

TDD - let's face it, whatever Rupey Baby does now, he's already lost stacks - especially for his backers. With Admin it would be even more. That's not to say that he won't put us into Admin next Tuesday following the board meeting and then blame the fans...'We've done all we can...sob' -

Buying cover in many places is fine...if they actually contribute to the squad... How many games have they played combined?? It says a lot when they can't even displace some of the worst Saints Squad in living memory. My way would have had probably 10 more points on the board already.. Of course I forgot, when we all said we had a weak squad that needed more experience in it at the start of the season, we were wrong then weren't we??? Rupert knows best. How foolish of me to think otherwise. -

still waiting for those better results DD...what excuse if we get nothing tomorrow... How long before 'We were unlucky' gets trotted out as an excuse eh?? Who was the last one to use that in interviews?? Ah yes, I remember, Jan Poortvliet. -

Listen...life is full of 'what if's'... How about this one then.... What if we hadn't have signed Gasmi, Pulis, Smith, Molyneux and instead used the money saved on their signing on fees, agents fees, wages etc on JUST ONE of Rasiak or John?? The fact that McGoldrick has been No1 choice upfront all season shows a lack of effective management from top to bottom... Why have we not tried Jason Euell upfront? Why have we not played BWP upfront instead? Why have we not played Lallana upfront instead? All of those were already here - so your argument against using Rasiak and John doesn't hold water. We have had players here all season as alternatives and guess what?? We are still using McGoldrick as the goal machine to get us out of trouble. Irrespective of the thoughts that Lowe told McG he would be No1 at the start of the season....from the player himself. Hmmm who's deciding the team and the ones out on loan again??? -

No to both but... a) Admin may already be imminent...we don't know - when are the interims out?? b) Wotte is making his own job harder by pontifications in the press.. It's a results led business...as a supposedly astute businessman once said. Just because you don't support the regime, does not mean you don't support the TEAM. Wotte would do well to understand that. -

Ahhhh...now I know why he's here...he'll be such an asset in League One. Wotte's been spending too much time in the mirror...Rupey must be well pleased by all this though, finally has someone on board who makes more gaffes than him. As for the argument that fans want Admin so we can remove Lowe, may I just turn that round for you and ask you this.... When we go down (which we will based on current form) and Rupey Baby leads us into Administration, will it still be the fans' fault then? Will it?? Or will it be the Boardroom leadership who were convinced that an unproven forward led by an unproven management team could score more goals than Rasiak and Stern John combined??? BTW, that isn't McGoldrick's fault before you criticise me for simply mentioning him. Ah, you can't beat being run into the ground by 'successful businessmen' can you? What is the share price again???? Oh. -

Whooop ti too Basil.... Wotte, if he had any sense would stay out of the Politics of this club. If he came out and said - 'I do not wish to comment on the protests, I am only concerned on our performances', he would be doing ok. He has instead run into a minefield that he PLAINLY does not understand... 'True Believers' eh ??? Doesn't that make him sound like David Koresh???? -
Nick, well if he has that foookin attitude then he can go now..he talks about the players 'going to war' but we see nothing of the sort. If Wotte could not see, given his long relationship with Lowe, the ill feeling towards this regime then he is either seriously deluded or living in a Lowe led bubble. Looks like Rupey Baby's been teaching him lots about PR... BTW, what has he delivered so far?? Interviews promising improvements....hmmm how many wins???? The bloke was a FOOL to take this job on - he is too closely associated to Lowe.
-
Because Wotte, like his boss, is completely ignorant. I will support the team for 90 minutes, but I think tomorrow could be EXTREMELY ugly. The atmosphere following this quite frankly stupid interview will be horrendous. He has simply tried to 'pigeon hole' the Saints fans in the most pathetic way possible. To say it is all 'kids' involved shows how out of touch he is - did he only watch his own interview on the Championship then after the Swansea demo?? He has quite funnily, managed to alienate the remaining 'fence sitters' - this is no Lunatic Fringe event. WOTTE HAS HAD A HISTORY LESSON FROM A MEGALOMANIAC. THAT IS THE ONLY EXPLANATION FOR SUCH DRIVEL.
-
I was looking forward to tomorrow

Such a pompous response befits your continual support for all things Pro-Lowe. He would be so proud.

At least the one with the bird knows when to keep his fooookin mouth shut. -
You need to remember who puts the money into the club that your dear friend Rupey Baby uses to pay your wages pal. How ignorant are you of the history of Southampton FC? Not a Real Fan??? My first game at The Dell was as a 5 year old. My parents, with my two older sisters, queued outside the Milton End in 1980 at 10.30am in the morning so I could get to the front on my little red and white stool. As a family we joined the Junior Saints at its inception (we were a ******* family club back then) and took part in the 'Question Time' sessions with the players..trips to Wembley, all things run by the great Big Al, Alan Smith. I met my heroes, Channon, Keegan, Armstrong, Shilton, Holmes... No-one really cared then who was Chairman, because he wasn't a media junkie. Alan Woodford by the way.. Since the age of 7 we had season tickets, and when the Family Centre was built, we moved there. Fratton Park in 1984 (at the age of 10) - I was there. Highbury in 1984 - I was there...shiiit scared but there. White Hart Lane in 1986 - I was there. Wembley in 1992 - I was there. Couldn't get a ticket for 2003 but I was there in spirit... I even managed to spend Work Experience at the Dell working with Alan Smith whilst at college...and that was during the Branfoot era...I was like a pig in shiiiit. Now, you dare to question my support for this club because I feel we are being run into the ground by your mate Lowe and a Gelding called Wilde?????? You've got a nerve pal. Been here 5 minutes and you know it all? Ah, Rupert wasn't here last season eh??? His long term colleague Dave Jones was...don't tell me he didn't have influence over him. I was at the first march, and I'll be there tomorrow. THAT'S THE REAL SPIRIT OF SOUTHAMPTON MATE. NOT SITTING ON YOUR HANDS IN THE STADIUM JUST 'HOPING' THAT RUPERT WILL GET IT RIGHT.
-
What I think has happened is that Lowe and Wilde made a HUGE rod for their own backs with that little diatribe... Had they come back without the 9 points, then perhaps the only areas where they would be judged would be : a) Team Performance; b) Interim Financial Results; c) Share Price. Everything else would have paled into insignificance. The fact that THEY (and Wilde did put his thoughts into the release, not just Lowe) showed this initial arrogance...the 'oh we will do such a better job than Leon' bull... Just shows how out of touch they both are. One more thing.. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. Forget what happened prior to 1997, post 1997, post 2003, and post 2005. WHAT HAS HAPPENED SINCE MAY 2008 IS DOWNRIGHT WRONG.

Protest stage 2: February 21st, meeting at bargate again.
Channon's Sideburns replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Wotte can foooook right off. He needs to remember who's paying his fooooking wages. -
If the AGM was a boxing match I think Leon would have wiped the floor with him TBF...
-
Scudamore, I really don't think ANYONE is taking any pleasure out of our current plight. What those 9 points prove are that Lowe and Wilde haven't ACTUALLY IMPROVED ANYTHING SINCE THEIR RETURN. What was it that Rupey Baby likes to say?? IT'S A RESULTS LED BUSINESS Well, he and Wilde have made it all worse...not to mention the share price...and they've managed to put in place a Coach with the diplomacy of Mugabe.

Oh my god, what's Wiseman got to say ???
Channon's Sideburns replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Although I despise Lowe and Wilde...Wiseman pontificating about those who are to blame for the WHOLE mess that is Southampton Leisure Holdings PLC is a little hypocritical...... Pot, Kettle, Black...... Jason Euell's contract anyone??? Stop playing ******* games and sort it out. -
For info I managed to pick up a VHS copy of the 03 Final today in a charity shop in Lymington... 50p. Says it all.
