Is it not fair to say that since Stewart Henderson lost overall responsibility for the Reserves that we have gone backwards? Wonder who sanctioned that change then...ahem...
-
Fair enough, the danger I guess with any source is whether the information is... a) correct; b) not released for other reasons (e.g to mislead). Appreciate the post. P.S - How about this then - if Lowe was paying Saga's wages - how about Wilde and Crouch paying for another striker until the end of the season? Seems fair.

Please don't misconstrue this question, but does the 'every possible action' include deferring their own salaries until the end of the season?

Yes Prof, a 'perfectly capable' Prem side that would be depleted by departures over the next 18 months. What was needed was investment into improving the squad further, and we could then have cemented our position as a Top 6 side. However, that didn't happen and we are where we are now. Nothing like glazing over the truth... -

Exactly Frank, just a little example, but in the same Radio Solent interview in 07 he ranted about how he built the academy, the successful radio station, catering and financial services arm... Now, as the Fin Services and Radio Station were loss makers, he would have been better advised not to mention them, but he couldn't help himself. If he would have concentrated on the positives, then he wouldn't come across so badly at times. Not to forget that he missed the point completely - we all weren't fed up with the catering, it was relegation and the subsequent mismanagement of the parachute payments that made people (Mike Wilde included, lest we forget) want him gone. -
Well I think that was what the Wotte article in the Pink was about - more smoke and mirrors, but that is probably the real reason he can't bring anyone in, he's just not allowed to say so.

I think the relevance though Jonah, is that it's not the fact that he has made mistakes... Only that he keeps on making the same ones.... Now that is foolish..shame no-one seems to tell him. What he needs is someone he trusts getting in his ear and giving some guidance every now and again. For example, back in Nov 07 he set himself up by saying 'He had no intention of ever returning'..only to do so 18mths later. No doubt there is an excuse for everything (just wait for the posts to appear in 10mins) but you have to admit sometimes Rupey can be his own worst enemy. Apart from Wilde, who is everyone's enemy!! -
Or...alternatively, Lowe and Wilde are purposely delaying the release of Season Tickets until after they get approval until the end of the season...why? Because when the Bank etc get wind of how many WON'T renew next season - then we will be in trouble - delaying can get L&W the support they want before it becomes abundantly clear that they have ballsed up yet again.
-
Could this be that some of the old Youth Team feel that they have 'made it' even though they're not getting in the first team squad...? This is one of the dangers of 'bigging up' those players as exceptional and good enough to play in the CCC... Another Lowe masterstroke....looks like his PR escapades from this season are beginning to come back and bite him on the ar$e. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy
-
Ooooh touched a nerve eh? Just merely pointing out that when Lowe bleats about players being picked up from us, and how wonderful our academy is and how the players from it are mostly down to him..... He always glazes over the fact that players like Walcott, Lallana and McGoldrick were brought in from other clubs....and the 'Academy' didn't actually bring them through..

Best thing Ponts is for PaulaCZT to give us a link to the site he/she found it on - perhaps I can get my wife to view it and perhaps put more meat on the bones. But if the general gist is that he likes to be a bit of a player, well that doesn't make him unemployable does it? I think we've been there before...! -

Right then....before I begin this - all I have done is asked for a proper translation...I take no responsibility for what someone else has posted.... My wife tells me that this statement seems a little disjointed - and really should be probably two sentences. Anyway...apparently - according to the post above.. 'Wotte always rents himself out below in the way that he likes the ladies normally within the club and therefore he keeps things moving in Feyenoord.' Which TBF in my eyes means he is a bloke....nothing sensational. -

Wotte: I will stay in charge if we stay up
Channon's Sideburns replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I think it was more to do with Wotte's assumption of the demographic involved in the protests - Wotte thought it was 'just kids'...which shows that he didn't watch the interviews on The Championship programme. I feel Wotte was probably told by 'someone else' who was on the march. What a shame he didn't look onto the area around the TB Statue to see volume and differing ages of those who protested. Young and Old attended, yes some chavs mixed in but all genuine fans nonetheless. -
TDD...I admire your optimism...but I've just had a coffee and I still think we're doomed. Once we can start winning games we'll be alright - but I think we'll be in League 1 by then.

Like him or loathe him, he's confident at least. TBF although he does come out with a load of sh1te, he at least sounds more inspiring than Burley ever was. Reading in between the lines, I guess he thinks that Rupey Baby will still be here then? We're being buttered up again for a shafting....I tell you that.... -
Rant??? Nah...just a little sarcasm. Lowe always glazes over the fact that he has pillaged other clubs in the way that we get done, that's all. I'm all for honesty - which is in short supply at SMS.
-
Ah... Dunc, there's a piece in one of the papers today (think it's The Sun) that Gaydamak has halved his asking price....hmmmmmm Oops just seen the subsequent post...apologies...!
-
Yes Alps...I think they played Snap on the team bus once.
-
My question is...how much did we agree to buy him for ? Ooooooh you mean he's not one of Rupey Baby's Academy 'Homegrown Superstars' after all??? (I knew that already...)
-
That's his friend Tom Scott then.. Hate to say I told you so....but I did. WHAT A B@STARD
-
You won't get champagne at Chewton Glen for £2.50 Phil!! BTW..I think Krasner was staying at the Royal Bath during his Bournemouth Jolly...

TBF when I was 8 I wouldnt have known many swear words...even if I did I would have been put right in the Family Centre, and by my old man!! Same for my kids when they get to that age - it's about respect for you and your kid.
