  1. The 20% shit part must be Redmond's shooting practice.
  2. Villa are a bigger club than us to be honest, let's be realistic, I remember 1982 when they won the European Cup.... JWP will be gone as soon as someone - whether it's Villa or Leicester - flashes enough cash to tempt the powers that be. Forget loyalty as well, that won't count for anything.
  3. Ah well. Someone clearly burned their bridges. I did say on Saturday whilst watching the Swansea game that he didn't look like he could be arsed to be there. Let's see if he picks up an 'injury' leading up to November 6th....
  4. Let's hope this doesn't go a bit 'Air Florida'....
  5. OK, I'll put this in 'former Saints Manager' terms. If you put 'attacking' Saints manager into Google, you should get - Chris Nicholl - 4-2-4 against Liverpool at home, trounced them 4-1. If you put 'defensive' Saints manager into Google, you should get - this goon MP - 4-5-1 against every bloody opponent - you could play AFC Totton (no disrespect) and he'd still play one upfront and Gabbi on the bench.
  6. Our football equivalent of John McCririck....
  7. Let us not forget this is the same Les Reed who spectacularly failed as Charlton boss....who probably thinks he's 'bucking the trend' by keeping MP in situ after being turfed out for Pards there. He was put on a pedestal by some in light of the sales...then purchases that went well, like Mane etc. He probably now lives in a bubble where he thinks he can do no wrong - let's face it, he'd be under more pressure if his own boss had football experience, and wasn't so reliant on him.
  8. Lallana by a complete mile - total c*ckwomble - anyone remember that he tried to go on strike previously in the Wotte era to force a move to Wolves? Something that was overlooked somewhat when many jumped on him being 'loyal' when defending him the second time, before he got his move to the subs bench at the 'Pool. Delusions of grandeur indeed - he's not a patch on Mane...which I think Liverpool now realise. Hope he rots in the reserves to count his cash. Then Lovren...then VVD. OH AND RATBOY STILL CAN'T MANUFACTURE A PROPER BEARD THAT JOINS UP - GIVE IT UP SON.
  9. Dear Les, I saw you once in M&S, chatting to some bloke near the 'slacks'. Can you please explain the 'motivation' for 'team belief' when rotation (unnecessary after the Europa Balls-Up) destroys the confidence of a player? Why bother to play well if you're dropped in the Puel Salad Spinner? Yours sincerely Channon's Sideburns (in the shoe aisle)
  10. Our team selections in Europe were complete pony. Puel's mistake was starting with J-Rod upfront - if you look at Inter and Sparta away, he missed chances that Austin (sat on the bench at the time) would have nailed. That's Puel's call, not the players. Don't care WHAT previous Euro Experience he has, he showed tactical naiveity - and Reed's JWP comment? That's on a par with Puel comparing Redmond with Henry. Sir Les of Reedshire is spinning the public so hard he'll be in Melbourne next week.
  11. Eddie Izzard ran 27 marathons in 27 consecutive days. They're paid an obscene amount of money to be fit, and to be able to play numerous amounts of games. Players want to play. What they don't want, is to put a decent shift in, perform well, then be dropped the next game for 'rotation' reasons only. It's a crock of *****.
  12. Trevor Sinclair speculating on Twitter that Fonte put in the request when he got wind of more sales in January. Les got the journos in early to spin things in my view - they realised after Krueger's appearance on the pitch and the Social Media moves against Puel that they had to re-gain control of the fanbase. Spin and more spin folks.
  13. Harry Kane and Dele Alli both have 10 each. Two players for another team have more than our entire squad have managed since August. Shocking really.
  14. Federico Arias - 'The Torpedo' Stig Johansen Marcelo Sarmiento Kleber Chala Jamie Redknapp Olivier Bernard Neil McCann Calum Davenport
  15. Like it or not, Eddie Izzard ran 27 Marathons in 27 consecutive days. He did that for charity. So, this fitness argument over players getting paid millions per year for a 90 minute game every few days is B0LL0X.
  16. I was also getting myself confused with that God Awful 7-1 away at Watford in 81/82. Blame me if it happens...
  17. Anyone know what Pascal Planque does? (apart from having the funniest name in football)?
  18. Didn't Everton slap us 7-0 up there once?
  19. Anyone thinking that Lallana wasn't frustrating most of the time in a Saints shirt obviously saw a different player than I did. Don't forget his hissy fit in the early Championship years when he wanted to go to Wolves. He wasn't our best midfielder either. I'm sure lots of those with rosey memories of Lallana used to look for a wave from Skacel at corners too.
  20. they paid over £20M for someone that couldn't last 90 minutes, was inconsistent, and couldn't head, tackle or shoot. Granted, Liverpool have made him a better player since he got there. But, he was overpriced at the time.
  21. JWP - weak physically. When you look at our multi-midfield options you have these... Romeu - top man, tough Davis - top man, best midfielder we have JWP - weak, not physical enough, can't tackle Tadic - blows hot & cold, can carry him but not him, JWP & Boufal. That's madness. Boufal - great player, but he can be the only one 'carried' in other areas. Hojberg - great potential - but needs time. So, out of our options, I reckon only Romeu and Davis can be relied upon. The rest? THAT'S why we're struggling to win and hold onto games.
  22. Can we sell him at an overpriced level to Liverpool as well then?!
  23. We've been here before. Jim Hone told me once that Lucien Mettomo would 'do a job for us'. That's exactly the correct explanation for Redmond at the moment - he makes up the numbers. But, that's not good enough for what we need. No way of dressing it up - his age is irrelevant in terms of 'needing time' - Theo was 16 when he broke through, Redmond has 6 years on that and strikes me as a player who's been told since he was a teenager that he's wonderful, and he believes it. I refer the honourable Saints Web posters above to the evidence - courtesy of 'Dave' outside SMS last night...
  24. BTW, sign Sam Vokes? I got slaughtered on here for saying that a few years ago. Likewise, people on here also laughed when I suggested we sign a certain Rickie Lambert when we were in L1.
