Sorry, what defence?
-
Stop panicking, the players are getting one of Ralph's legendary half time talks. We'll be fine.
-
Why wait, why not at the end of the half.
-
And Ralph insisted we were not on the beach.... God we are shyte.

This can only go one way....!!! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-61331701

Can't see us going down, but agree we won't get anymore points this season either.
-
I'm struggling to remember too many games where we could say we were unlucky to lose, I'm also struggling to remember too many where we had lots of chances on goal and really tested a goalkeeper. Not only do we lack creativity, but also our strikers are all sub standard, snatching at, and missing, the few opportunities that we do manage to fashion.
-
At the end of the day, if it did happen it would serve us right. We had a chance to consolidate a top half position and, as last season, totally fucked it up. Unless things change soon, it's only a matter of time anyway.

Wasn't the reverse fixture our biggest win of the season so far? If our strikers hit form again it could be yet another win and 3 points. No, really, it could.

Cheers Ralph, enjoy your retirement.

Didn't bother following the game at all today, was out shopping in Chester. First time I looked at my phone was while trying on some new 'kegs', we were on 90 minutes and it was one all. Down to my shreddies, my phone vibrates and instantly without looking I knew what the alert was. Frankly I can't be bothered to read this thread to see if we 'played well', whether we were 'robbed' or if there were other 'extenuating circumstances'; we are crap. I've just looked at the premiereship top scorers and nearly every club is represented, but not us. Even Pukki at Norwich has scored 10 goals. Can anybody tell me the last time one of our 'strikers' scored because I am struggling to recall. People keep saying we need massive investment, hate to disappoint you but it won't be coming from this owner either. Quite how so called professional players can clock off so early in a season is beyond me, they very obviously are not playing for the manager and that can have only one outcome. We'll limp across the line with yet another spectacular collapse, but come the close season the board need to take some very serious decisions. Next season could well be a very stern test, total dross yet again.

I think it actually suited the government, as well as the Premiere League, to not scrutinized Abramovitch too closely, given the amount of other Russian money invested in and around the capital. Not that it takes much investigating as a recent documentary showed, very dodgy wealth with some very unsavoury contacts. And now there's Newcastle. Does anybody really believes that their money is being solely provided by a private funding initiative? Money talks, doesn't matter how filthy, dirty, smelly it is, somebody will take it.

Unfortunately I see nothing other than yet another loss. I rate Graham Potter and think he's done OK with what he got available to him. As far as I can tell, we have been on the beach for some weeks now. They say you're only as good as your last game, if true we need to go from absolute shyte to pretty good in the space of a couple of days to get anything. With our goal shy strikers we are relying on others to get the goals, so not looking good there. All of the teams below us have games in hand as well, we'll be lucky to finish above 15th at this rate.
-
Not sure that any of their squad will be with them in two seasons. Nearly 100 million spent just in the window, money is basically on tap, and like all big clubs FFP will be skilfully circumnavigated. They are a club on a different stratosphere to us now. Quite how the Premiere League can block Abramovitch and force him to sell, whilst allowing Newcastle to be funded as it is, is quite beyond me.
-
He is achieving the boards potential aims of the club, remaining in the Premiere League.
-
Yeah I get your point. To be honest I only want goals now to win some bloody games, but I do worry for us if we go into next season with this 'strikeforce'.
-
Agreed, that is a medium term project. We need goals now.
-
I know mate, that 'performance' demands very little real analysis, hence I kept it brief..!
-
That is a long term project, very long term. We need goals now.
-
Here we go again. We fell spectacularly off the cliff last season, and here we are again doing exactly the same thing. Arsenal papered over the cracks, tonight was closer to the truth, and that is we are a very mediocre team who will probably finish in the bottom 6. Sorry but our 'strikers' just aren't good enough, we will get found out if we persist with them next season, I can't remember the last time one of them actually scored. As for Ralph, he's lost this lot, they didn't sweat for him tonight, and haven't done so for some time now. He's hinted at retirement in the next couple of years, I would give him till the end of the season and then give him a gentle shove. As for tonight, briefly, shit.

Things are not staying as the were, Everton equalise.
-
So, any chance you could explain xG for us oldens? 😁😁😁
-
Was always going to be tough for them to avoid the drop. Don't know the "ins and outs", but they aren't the first 'big' club to end up in league one, as we well know.
-
Given the fact that they have contrived to relegate themselves over the last couple of games, I hope we go there and add to their demise. Won't be easy though, Turf Moor, lights, rain, new manager bounce, so it'll be a tough nut to crack.
-
Yeah, pretty easy to reel them off if you Google it I guess. My interest probably started around 1970, and since then I "remember" very few sites outside of the top 6 or so winning it. Wimbledon, I grant you, one I remember but missed, and yes I remember Leicester last year, but I put them up with the better teams as well. The FA Cup is rarely won by a surprise team or complete underdog, ergo relatively boring for many fans.
