Errrr just how much time would you like us all to wait? 10 days, 10 weeks, 10 months perhaps 10 years and then you can proclaim 'I told you so'. This board was littered with such posts last season by the likes of Tommac and LLS, and it was such posts that proved to be the most popular. Unfortunately they were all total and utter garbage, and at the end of the day none of what they professed has ever materialised. It is all very well coming here sprouting such things as 'from the horses mouth' - but you do nothing but raise false hopes. So far, all your saying is that if a 'sugar daddy' hits the scene then AS would be willing to spend his (the sugar daddy's) millions in trying to make us successful - big deal, every other 'out of work' manager or 'would be' manager would probably jump at the job with significant backing behind them. You hardly appear to have 'earthshattering breaking news' - so why not break it eh? Or are you revelling about being ITK?

To be honest it doesn't really matter who the Chairman might be, Freddy Shepherd, whoever. All that matters is success - to the chairman and the fans. Let's be honest there is probably some pretty s h i t t y money floating around in football these days from sources that we probably wouldn't want to get too involved with. That said - we are but fickle fans, if we tastes success on the field, we rarely care who delivers it, or how it is paid for at boardroom level.

Calm yourself young man - I was merely pointing to the fact that you classed our opposition as 'Professional' players, whilst you seem happy to disassociate our players with any professional body. They are all professional sportsmen - yes ours are younger than most, but if you misguidedly think that other teams are going to make any sort of allowances for the fact that they have just come from the Reserve Team or the Academy - then you are sadley mistaken. Yes the kids need time to learn - I will support them to the bitter end, because I support SFC. But be in no doubt that we are not only gambling with the future of the club, but also with some of the futures of the kids. This 'baptism of fire' (and that's truely what it is for lots of our kids), could not only damage the club - but also some of the current crop of players.
-
It was a decent 'mistimed' tackle - deserved a yellow at best - no more...
-
Shiiite...!! So are you telling me that our players are not professional players...??? We may be playing kids, and yes today they did not get the rub of the green - who knows though, this game could make or break some of them. There were some poor decissions, but we still never really troubled QPR - next couple of games will be interesting to see how the 'kids' react.
-
You need to go sit with the Original Bournemouth Saint with comments such as that...!
-
That's most intuitive of you... I would concur though...!!
-
Defensively weak and inept at times, pretty stuff in midfield but rarely a threat up front. Thank the lord for Kelvin Davis though, perhaps now some of his critics here will realise just how much we do need him.
-
Yeah right... you do have a problem with KD don't you...!! No doubt you think he should of saved and held Blackstocks shot...
-
Problem is - if he continues to get 'worked' every game, performs every game - then somebody will be in for him too... yet another seasoned pro off the books...

If you follow the ITV link above, goto the sport section and then use the 'search' facility for Marc Jackson - the clip actually shows up. But for some reason it won't play on my browser - perhaps others will be able to view it though. In fact - try this: http://www.itvlocal.com/meridian/sport/?player=MER_Sport_15&void=175029 Happy veiwing, enjoy....

Probably the most reasoned post - but wasn't surprised at all to find this thread here - nothing like kicking the guy in the ******** once somebody else has dropped him for you. I supported Burley all the way - I hope he drags Scotland throught their qualifying group (but have my doubts that it is possible). I hope he stays the attention of ridicule on here so long as it deflects adverse attention from Jan and the boys - but if things start to go wrong, I suspect it wont be too long until the vultures gather. Excellent point about England and Macidonia as well - easy to overlook of course for those that wish to gloat. Nice post.

To a certain extent I would agree with you. However many are still young 'tradesmen' and unlike you or I, when they ply their trade they do so under intense public scrutiny, both from those actually at the venue and from millions of others watching on television. Therefore when they make mistakes they are very public mistakes - you or I rarely (if ever) have to deal with that in our workplace. Yes playing professional football is a very privileged position to hold - however lets not kid ourself that just because they are well paid, it gives them the 'emotional capacity' to handle it when 15000 people get on their backs.

I admire your passion even though your arguments are about as watertight as the Titanic on her maiden voyage. We got done by a team that worked harder - they worked hard to make those goal line clearances - no use beefing about it and no use blaming the ref. The ref may have been a little pedantic at times - the drop ball incident was a bit of a laugh, but then again - it wasnt really the refs fault - blame the dickhead that threw the second ball onto the field - somebody in the crowd I think. We will have to agree to disagree about the pen though - like I said, the first time I saw it it was a stonwaller - and nothing changed for me after 2 replays - thats life - you win some, you loose some - we were live on Sky - perhaps we should of known the outcome...!!!
-
Apologies - perhaps I should not have singled you out as the 'Chief amongst Moderators'. My point about his endless complaining was valid though. I choose not to ignore posts that quote my own, and I am only willing to pay £2.50 if I have to put Alpine on ignore...! Fear not Arizona - AS and I will duel - but I will keep it within the Queensbury Rules. Unless of course he has some knuckledusters hidden away - in which case it could get messy.
-
I would tend to agree with that - we dont need a plan B. We need a plan B, D, E, F, G etc. We have to be able to change and adapt to lots of things that happen in games. Therefore I agree it's more a case of being able to change the tactics - not just switching from one system of play to another.

Perhaps if you contributed an 'informed' opinion or reaction and stated the source of your information people might actually take you seriously. Perhaps also, if you stopped continually whining to the Mods about people 'baiting' you, other posters may also take time to debate some of your issues. When you make statements to the effect that you have a more valid opinion than those that were present, (or something along those lines - and no I can't be assed to go back and look) then I feel you leave yourself open to severe criticism. Poke your head over the parapit and it will get blown off. Personally I feel sorry for you - you remind me of the spoiled kid in the playground whose father bought him all the toys - but he had no friends. You said in an earlier thread that you thought people were 'lying in wait' for you to post - you're correct, thats me. But I rarely respond to your input - just sit here laughing. Ohhh and before you get on over to Arizona with this, this is not baiting - just an honest, open and forthright opinion.

Top of the league and only another 120 odd points available to the rest - looks like the jobs done - quick, get rid of JP and get me NP back here now....!!!
-
But, some of those individuals, strangely still do criticise...!!
-
Geeze - any good news to report...???
-
I must have missed the 'broken leg' incident if that's the case...!
-
Sorry derry - I never saw it - missed the first 30 minutes (damn kids birthday parties...!!) - so I will bow to your better judgement. What I saw of the officiating, I thought was pretty much ok, I certainly don't see how people are blaming the officials for a game which we lost one nil when most are agreeing that Kelvin was MOTM.
-
Straw clutching thread - the ref cost us nothing today. In fact he and his team made decisions that kept our team in with a shout today (admittedly right ones - but still easy to get wrong). We unfortunately were unable to capitalise on this - but that is hardly the refs fault. No he wasn't the best ref - but he was hardly the worst ref I have seen. They talk about 'big decisions' in games - they are the ones that refs have to get right, there were four of those in this game - and personally I think he got them all right. We got beat - look closer to home if you want to apportion blame - not the officials.
-
I can't beleive that people want to blame the officials...!! That poor imitation of officiating the bloke in the middle is the same bloke (along with his fellow officials) who stopped us getting trounced 4 nil - by making the right decisions. As for the penalty, I accept that you were there and I was not, however - the first time I saw it I thought it was a 'stone waller', Sky replayed it and it was still a 'stone waller', they then replayed it again - and strangly it was still a 'stone waller'. If that happened in our box and he didn't give it - I would love to see your argument then. We had an off day, the lads tried hard, but go look at the MOTM thread - you only have to see the 'by a mile' leader to see that we never turned up at the races today. Let's take it in good grace eh - put your hands up to Blackpool - but lets not blame the officials.

Perhaps, maybe, could be, who knows - other than Adam?
